  1. Bir Şənbə günü İsa farisey rəhbərlərinin birinin evinə çörək yeməyə getdi. Hamı Ona göz qoyurdu.
  2. Onun qarşısında hidropos xəstəliyinə tutulmuş bir adam var idi.
  3. İsa qanunşünas və fariseylərə xitab edərək soruşdu: «Şənbə günü insanlara şəfa verməyə icazə var ya yox?»
  4. Amma onlar dinmirdi. İsa o adama əli ilə toxundu, onu sağaltdı və buraxdı.
  5. İsa onlara dedi: «Sizlərdən kimin oğlu yaxud öküzü Şənbə günü quyuya düşsə, onu dərhal oradan dartıb çıxarmaz?»
  1. It happened that when He went into the house of one of the leaders of the Pharisees on the Sabbath to eat bread, they were watching Him closely.
  2. And there in front of Him was a man suffering from dropsy.
  3. And Jesus answered and spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath, or not?"
  4. But they kept silent. And He took hold of him and healed him, and sent him away.
  5. And He said to them, "Which one of you will have a son or an ox fall into a well, and will not immediately pull him out on a Sabbath day?"
 
 
  1. Onlar İsanın bu sualına cavab verə bilmədilər.
  2. İsa fikir verdi ki, dəvət olunanlar yuxarı başda oturmağı seçdilər. Onlara belə bir məsəl söylədi:
  3. «Bir nəfər səni toya dəvət edirsə, yuxarı başda oturma. Bəlkə ev yiyəsinin səndən də hörmətli bir qonağı var.
  4. İkinizi də toya dəvət edən gəlib sənə “bu adama yer ver” desə, sən xəcalət içində aşağı başda əyləşməli olarsan.
  5. Amma dəvət olunanda gedib ən aşağı başda otur ki, səni dəvət edən adam gəlib sənə “Dostum! Yuxarı başa keç” desin; o zaman səninlə birgə oturanların hamısının qarşısında hörmət qazanarsan.
  1. And they could make no reply to this.
  2. And He began speaking a parable to the invited guests when He noticed how they had been picking out the places of honor at the table, saying to them,
  3. "When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for someone more distinguished than you may have been invited by him,
  4. and he who invited you both will come and say to you, 'Give your place to this man,' and then in disgrace you proceed to occupy the last place.
  5. "But when you are invited, go and recline at the last place, so that when the one who has invited you comes, he may say to you, 'Friend, move up higher'; then you will have honor in the sight of all who are at the table with you.
 
 
  1. Çünki özünü yüksəldən hər kəs aşağı tutulacaq, özünü aşağı tutansa yüksəldiləcək».
  2. İsa Onu dəvət edənə də dedi: «Günorta yaxud axşam yeməyi verdiyin vaxt öz dostlarını, qardaşlarını, qohumlarını, dövlətli qonşularını dəvət etmə ki, onlar da səni çağıraraq sənə əvəzini versin.
  3. Amma qonaqlıq verəndə yoxsulları, əlilləri, topalları, korları çağır.
  4. Onda onlar sənə əvəzini verə bilmədiyinə görə sən bəxtiyar olacaqsan. Çünki salehlər dirildiyi zaman sənə əvəz veriləcək».
  5. Süfrəyə oturanlardan biri bunu eşidib İsaya dedi: «Allahın Padşahlığında çörək yeyən nə bəxtiyardır!»
  1. "For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."
  2. And He also went on to say to the one who had invited Him, "When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, otherwise they may also invite you in return and that will be your repayment.
  3. "But when you give a reception, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,
  4. and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."
  5. When one of those who were reclining at the table with Him heard this, he said to Him, "Blessed is everyone who will eat bread in the kingdom of God!"
 
 
  1. Amma İsa ona dedi: «Bir adam böyük ziyafət hazırladı və oraya çoxlu qonaq çağırdı.
  2. Yemək vaxtı gələndə öz qulunu dəvət olunanların yanına göndərdi ki, onlara desin: “Buyurun, indi hər şey hazırdır”.
  3. Amma hamı birdən üzr istəməyə başladı. Birincisi ona dedi: “Mən bir torpaq sahəsi almışam, gedib ona baxmalıyam. Səndən xahiş edirəm, məni bağışla”.
  4. Digəri isə dedi: “Mən beş cüt öküz satın almışam və onları yoxlamağa gedirəm. Səndən xahiş edirəm, məni bağışla”.
  5. Üçüncüsü dedi: “Mən təzə evlənmişəm, buna görə də gələ bilmərəm”.
  1. But He said to him, "A man was giving a big dinner, and he invited many;
  2. and at the dinner hour he sent his slave to say to those who had been invited, 'Come; for everything is ready now.'
  3. "But they all alike began to make excuses. The first one said to him, 'I have bought a piece of land and I need to go out and look at it; please consider me excused.'
  4. "Another one said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out; please consider me excused.'
  5. "Another one said, 'I have married a wife, and for that reason I cannot come.'
 
 
  1. Qul qayıdıb bu şeyləri ağasına bildirdi. O zaman ev yiyəsi qəzəblənib quluna dedi: “Qaç, şəhərin küçə və tinlərində olan yoxsulları, əlilləri, korları və topalları buraya gətir”.
  2. Qul isə dedi: “Ağa, sənin əmrin yerinə yetirildi, hələ artıq yer də qalıb”.
  3. Ağası quluna dedi: “Get, bütün yolları və çəpərləri gəz. Evim dolsun deyə adamları gəlməyə vadar et.
  4. Sizə bunu deyirəm: ilk dəvət olunanların heç biri mənim ziyafətimdən dadmayacaq”».
  5. İsa ilə birlikdə böyük izdiham yol gedirdi. İsa dönüb onlara dedi:
  1. "And the slave came back and reported this to his master. Then the head of the household became angry and said to his slave, 'Go out at once into the streets and lanes of the city and bring in here the poor and crippled and blind and lame.'
  2. "And the slave said, 'Master, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.'
  3. "And the master said to the slave, 'Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled.
  4. 'For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste of my dinner.'"
  5. Now large crowds were going along with Him; and He turned and said to them,
 
 
  1. «Kim Mənim yanıma gəlib ata-anasını, arvad-uşaqlarını, bacı-qardaşlarını, hətta öz həyatını Məndən üstün tutsa, Mənim şagirdim ola bilməz.
  2. Öz çarmıxını daşıyıb ardımca gəlməyən kəs də Mənim şagirdim ola bilməz.
  3. Sizlərdən kimsə bir qüllə tikmək istəyirsə, əvvəlcə oturub onun xərclərini hesablamaz ki, görsün onu qurtarmaq üçün pulu çatacaq ya yox?
  4. Çünki qüllənin təməlini qoyub işi qurtara bilməsə, bunu görənlərin hamısı onu ələ salıb deyəcək:
  5. “Bu adam tikintiyə başlayıb qurtara bilmədi”.
  1. "If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.
  2. "Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.
  3. "For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it?
  4. "Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him,
  5. saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.'
 
 
  1. Yaxud da hansı padşah başqa padşahla müharibəyə gedəndə üstünə iyirmi min əsgərlə gələnə qarşı on min əsgərlə durmağa qadir olmağı əvvəlcə oturub götür-qoy eləməz?
  2. Əgər padşah buna qadir deyilsə, o biri padşahın hələ uzaqda olduğu vaxt elçilər göndərib sülh müqaviləsi bağlamaq istəyər.
  3. Eyni tərzdə sizdən hər biriniz bütün əmlakından əl çəkməsə, Mənim şagirdim ola bilməz.
  4. Duz yaxşı şeydir, amma əgər duz öz dadını itirərsə, ona nə ilə dad verilə bilər?
  5. O nə torpağa yarayar, nə də peyinə. Onu çölə atarlar. Eşitməyə qulağı olan eşitsin!»
  1. "Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
  2. "Or else, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace.
  3. "So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.
  4. "Therefore, salt is good; but if even salt has become tasteless, with what will it be seasoned?
  5. "It is useless either for the soil or for the manure pile; it is thrown out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
