  1. İndi isə «kişi qadına toxunmasa yaxşıdır» yazdığınıza gəlincə,
  2. əxlaqsızlığın qabağını almaq üçün hər kişinin öz arvadı, hər qadının da öz əri olsun.
  3. Ər arvadına aid, arvad da ərinə aid olan nikah borcunu yerinə yetirsin.
  4. Arvadın bədəni özünün yox, ərinin ixtiyarındadır. Eləcə də kişinin bədəni özünün yox, arvadının ixtiyarındadır.
  5. Müvəqqəti olaraq razılıqla, dua üçün vaxt ayırmaqdan savayı bir-birinizi ər-arvadlıq təminatından məhrum etməyin. Bundan sonra yenə də bir yerdə olun ki, nəfsinizə hakim olmadığınıza görə Şeytan sizi sınağa çəkməsin.
  1. Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
  2. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
  3. Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
  4. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
  5. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
 
 
  1. Bunları əmr kimi yox, güzəşt kimi deyirəm.
  2. Çünki bütün insanların mənim kimi olmasını istərdim. Amma hər bir insanın Allahdan aldığı öz ənamı var – birininki belədir, digərininki başqa cürdür.
  3. Evli olmayanlara və dul qadınlara isə bunu deyirəm: mənim kimi qalsalar, onlar üçün yaxşı olar.
  4. Əgər özlərini saxlaya bilmirlərsə, qoy ailə qursunlar. Çünki ehtirasdan yanmaqdansa ailə qurmaq daha yaxşıdır.
  5. Evli olanlara isə mən əmr edirəm, daha düzgün desəm, Rəbb əmr edir: qadın ərindən ayrılmasın.
  1. But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
  2. For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
  3. I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.
  4. But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
  5. And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
 
 
  1. Ayrılırsa, ərsiz qalmalıdır yaxud əri ilə barışmalıdır. Ər də arvadını boşamasın.
  2. Başqalarına isə Rəbb yox, mən deyirəm ki, əgər bir qardaşın iman etməyən arvadı var və arvad onunla yaşamağa razıdırsa, əri onu boşamasın.
  3. Bir arvadın iman etməyən əri varsa və əri onunla yaşamağa razıdırsa, qoy arvadı ondan boşanmasın.
  4. Çünki iman etməmiş ər arvadı vasitəsilə təqdis olunur və iman etməmiş arvad imanlı əri vasitəsilə təqdis olunur. Əks halda uşaqlarınız natəmiz olardı, indi isə onlar müqəddəsdir.
  5. İman etməyən ayrılırsa, qoy ayrılsın. Qardaş ya da bacı belə hallarda məcburiyyət qarşısında deyil. Allah sizi sülhdə yaşamağa çağırıb.
  1. But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
  2. But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
  3. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
  4. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
  5. But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
 
 
  1. Ey qadın, ərini xilas edib-etməyəcəyini haradan bilirsən? Yaxud sən, ey ər, arvadını xilas edib-etməyəcəyini haradan bilirsən?
  2. Amma hər kəs Allahın ona təyin etdiyi kimi Rəbbin çağırışına uyğun həyat sürsün. Bunu bütün cəmiyyətlərə əmr edirəm.
  3. Əgər bir nəfər sünnətli olaraq çağırış aldısa, sünnət olunmanı aradan qaldırmasın. Digəri isə sünnətsiz olaraq çağırış aldısa, qoy sünnət olunmasın.
  4. Sünnətlilik də, sünnətsizlik də əhəmiyyət kəsb etmir, əhəmiyyət kəsb edən isə Allahın əmrlərini yerinə yetirməkdir.
  5. Qoy hər kəs çağırış aldığı vaxt nə vəziyyətdə idisə, elə də qalsın.
  1. For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
  2. But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
  3. Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
  4. Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
  5. Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
 
 
  1. Çağırış alanda qul idinsə, fikir eləmə. Amma əgər azad olmağa imkanın varsa, bu fürsəti əldən vermə.
  2. Çünki Rəbdə çağırış alan vaxt qul artıq Rəbbin azad insanıdır. Eləcə də çağırış alan vaxt azad insan Məsihin quludur.
  3. Siz çox baha qiymətə satın alınmısınız, insanlara qul olmayın!
  4. Ey qardaşlar, hər kəs çağırış alanda nə vəziyyətdə idisə, eləcə Allahla birlikdə qalsın.
  5. İndi isə qızlara gəlincə, bu barədə Rəbdən əmr almamışam. Amma etibara layiq olmaq üçün Rəbbin mərhəmətinə nail olmuş bir insan kimi öz fikirlərimi deyirəm.
  1. Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
  2. For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.
  3. Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
  4. Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.
  5. Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.
 
 
  1. Məncə, indi yaranmış çətin vəziyyətə görə insanın olduğu kimi qalması yaxşıdır.
  2. Arvadınla nikahla bağlısansa, ondan azad olmağını arzu etmə. Arvadın yoxdursa, özünə arvad axtarma.
  3. Amma evlənməyin günah deyil. Qızın da ərə getməsi günah deyil. Amma belə adamlar bu həyatda əziyyət çəkəcəklər. Mən sizi bundan qorumaq istəyirəm.
  4. Qardaşlar, bunu demək istəyirəm: vaxta az qalıb. Bundan sonra arvadı olanlar olmayanlar kimi,
  5. yas tutanlar tutmayanlar kimi, sevinənlər sevinməyənlər kimi, mal alanlar malı olmayanlar kimi,
  1. I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.
  2. Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.
  3. But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.
  4. But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;
  5. And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;
 
 
  1. bu dünyanın işlərindən faydalananlar bu işlərdən uzaq olanlar kimi olsunlar. Çünki bu dünyanın indiki vəziyyəti keçib-gedir.
  2. Sizin qayğısız olmanızı istəyirəm. Subay kişi Rəbbi necə razı salmaq barəsində düşünüb Rəbbin işlərinin qayğısına qalır.
  3. Evli isə arvadını razı salmaqdan ötrü dünyəvi işlərin qayğısına qalır
  4. və diqqəti yayınır. Ərsiz qadın yaxud qız da Rəbbin işlərinin qayğısına qalır ki, həm bədəndə, həm də ruhən müqəddəs olsun. Ərli qadın isə ərini razı salmaqdan ötrü dünyəvi işlərin qayğısına qalır.
  5. Bunu azadlığınızı məhdudlaşdırmaq üçün yox, yalnız sizin xeyrinizə deyirəm ki, ədəblə davranıb fikirlərinizi dağıtmadan özünüzü Rəbbə həsr edəsiniz.
  1. And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.
  2. But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
  3. But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.
  4. There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
  5. And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.
 
 
  1. Əgər bir nəfər nişanlandığı qızla düzgün davranmadığını düşünürsə, yaşı çatıb və evlənmək lazım gəlirsə, qoy o adam istədiyini etsin. O, günah etmir. Qoy onlar evlənsin.
  2. Amma kim ürəyində qəti niyyət tutub, könüllü surətdə, öz nəfsinə hakim olaraq nişanlandığı qızla evlənməmək qərarına gəlirsə, o adam da yaxşı edir.
  3. Buna görə də nişanlısı ilə evlənən yaxşı edir, evlənməyənsə daha yaxşı edir.
  4. Arvad əri sağ ikən ona bağlı qalır. Əgər əri vəfat etsə, arvad azaddır və kimə istəsə, ərə gedə bilər. Lakin o kişi Rəbdə olmalıdır.
  5. Amma fikrimcə, dul qadın olduğu kimi qalsa, daha xoşbəxt olar. Zənnimcə, məndə də Allahın Ruhu var.
  1. But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.
  2. Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.
  3. So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.
  4. The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
  5. But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.
