Job 3 [KJV:Russian]   
 
  1. After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
  2. And Job spake, and said,
  3. Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived.
  4. Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it.
  5. Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.
  1. После того открыл Иов уста свои и проклял день свой.
  2. И начал Иов и сказал:
  3. погибни день, в который я родился, и ночь, в которую сказано: зачался человек!
  4. День тот да будет тьмою; да не взыщет его Бог свыше, и да не воссияет над ним свет!
  5. Да омрачит его тьма и тень смертная, да обложит его туча, да страшатся его, как палящего зноя!
 
 
  1. As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months.
  2. Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein.
  3. Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to raise up their mourning.
  4. Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; let it look for light, but have none; neither let it see the dawning of the day:
  5. Because it shut not up the doors of my mother's womb, nor hid sorrow from mine eyes.
  1. Ночь та, --да обладает ею мрак, да не сочтется она в днях года, да не войдет в число месяцев!
  2. О! ночь та--да будет она безлюдна; да не войдет в нее веселье!
  3. Да проклянут ее проклинающие день, способные разбудить левиафана!
  4. Да померкнут звезды рассвета ее: пусть ждет она света, и он не приходит, и да не увидит она ресниц денницы
  5. за то, что не затворила дверей чрева [матери] моей и не сокрыла горести от очей моих!
 
 
  1. Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly?
  2. Why did the knees prevent me? or why the breasts that I should suck?
  3. For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest,
  4. With kings and counsellors of the earth, which build desolate places for themselves;
  5. Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver:
  1. Для чего не умер я, выходя из утробы, и не скончался, когда вышел из чрева?
  2. Зачем приняли меня колени? зачем было мне сосать сосцы?
  3. Теперь бы лежал я и почивал; спал бы, и мне было бы покойно
  4. с царями и советниками земли, которые застраивали для себя пустыни,
  5. или с князьями, у которых было золото, и которые наполняли домы свои серебром;
 
 
  1. Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light.
  2. There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest.
  3. There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor.
  4. The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master.
  5. Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, and life unto the bitter in soul;
  1. или, как выкидыш сокрытый, я не существовал бы, как младенцы, не увидевшие света.
  2. Там беззаконные перестают наводить страх, и там отдыхают истощившиеся в силах.
  3. Там узники вместе наслаждаются покоем и не слышат криков приставника.
  4. Малый и великий там равны, и раб свободен от господина своего.
  5. На что дан страдальцу свет, и жизнь огорченным душею,
 
 
  1. Which long for death, but it cometh not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures;
  2. Which rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave?
  3. Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in?
  4. For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters.
  5. For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.
  1. которые ждут смерти, и нет ее, которые вырыли бы ее охотнее, нежели клад,
  2. обрадовались бы до восторга, восхитились бы, что нашли гроб?
  3. [На что дан свет] человеку, которого путь закрыт, и которого Бог окружил мраком?
  4. Вздохи мои предупреждают хлеб мой, и стоны мои льются, как вода,
  5. ибо ужасное, чего я ужасался, то и постигло меня; и чего я боялся, то и пришло ко мне.
 
 
  1. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.
  1. Нет мне мира, нет покоя, нет отрады: постигло несчастье.
