  1. Əyyub belə cavab verdi:
  2. «Kaş bu dərdim çəkiləydi, Bütün ağrılarım tərəziyə qoyulaydı.
  3. Onda dənizlərin qumundan ağır gələrdi, Ona görə tez bu sözləri dedim.
  4. Həqiqətən, Külli-İxtiyarın oxları köksümdədir, Ruhum onların zəhərlərini içir. Allahın dəhşətləri mənə hücum çəkir.
  5. Ot olanda vəhşi eşşək anqırarmı? Yem tapanda öküz heç böyürərmi?
  1. Then Job answered,
  2. "Oh that my grief were actually weighed And laid in the balances together with my calamity!
  3. "For then it would be heavier than the sand of the seas; Therefore my words have been rash.
  4. "For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, Their poison my spirit drinks; The terrors of God are arrayed against me.
  5. "Does the wild donkey bray over his grass, Or does the ox low over his fodder?
 
 
  1. Duzsuz, şit yeməyi yemək olarmı? Yumurta ağının dadı varmı?
  2. Belə yeməklərə əl vurmaq istəmirəm, Onlardan iyrənirəm.
  3. Kaş arzuma çataydım, Allah mənə həsrətində olduğumu verəydi,
  4. Lütf edib məni əzsə belə, Əldən cəld olub həyatımın bağını kəssə belə,
  5. Mən yenə ovunardım, Bu amansız dərdimə baxmayaraq Müqəddəs Olanın sözlərini inkar etmədiyimə görə sevinərdim.
  1. "Can something tasteless be eaten without salt, Or is there any taste in the white of an egg?
  2. "My soul refuses to touch them; They are like loathsome food to me.
  3. "Oh that my request might come to pass, And that God would grant my longing!
  4. "Would that God were willing to crush me, That He would loose His hand and cut me off!
  5. "But it is still my consolation, And I rejoice in unsparing pain, That I have not denied the words of the Holy One.
 
 
  1. Nə gücüm var ki, gözləyim? Sonum nə qədərdir ki, səbir edim?
  2. Daş qədər güclüyəmmi? Ətim tuncdandırmı?
  3. Əlacsız qalanda Özümə kömək etməyə gücüm çatarmı?
  4. İnsan Külli-İxtiyarın qorxusundan vaz keçsə belə, Çarəsiz qalanda ona dostun sədaqəti gərəkdir.
  5. Qardaşlarım mənə bir vadi kimi xəyanət etdi, Çaylar kimi axıb getdi.
  1. "What is my strength, that I should wait? And what is my end, that I should endure?
  2. "Is my strength the strength of stones, Or is my flesh bronze?
  3. "Is it that my help is not within me, And that deliverance is driven from me?

  1. Bu vadilər buzlar əriyəndə daşar, Qar suları ilə dolar.
  2. Bu vadilər quraq vaxtı quruyar, İstidə yataqlarından yox olar.
  3. Bu vadilərə görə karvanlar yolunu azar, Səhraya çıxanda həlak olar.
  4. Temanın karvanları su axtarar, Səbadan gələn səyyahlar ora ümid bağlar.
  5. Amma ora çatanda ümid bağladıqlarına peşman olar, Mat-məəttəl qalar.
  1. Which are turbid because of ice And into which the snow melts.
  2. "When they become waterless, they are silent, When it is hot, they vanish from their place.
  3. "The paths of their course wind along, They go up into nothing and perish.
  4. "The caravans of Tema looked, The travelers of Sheba hoped for them.
  5. "They were disappointed for they had trusted, They came there and were confounded.
 
 
  1. İndi siz də mənim üçün bir heç olmusunuz, Bu dəhşətə baxıb qorxursunuz.
  2. Mən demişəmmi “Mənə nəyisə verin, Var-dövlətinizdən mənə rüşvət göndərin?
  3. Yaxud da məni düşmən əlindən qurtarın, Zalımların əlindən azad edin?”
  4. Mən susum, siz mənə öyrədin, Nə səhv etmişəmsə, mənə göstərin.
  5. Doğru söz kəsərli olar, Sizin bu iradınız bəs nəyi sübut edir?
  1. "Indeed, you have now become such, You see a terror and are afraid.
  2. "Have I said, 'Give me something,' Or, 'Offer a bribe for me from your wealth,'
  3. Or, 'Deliver me from the hand of the adversary,' Or, 'Redeem me from the hand of the tyrants'?
  4. "Teach me, and I will be silent; And show me how I have erred.
  5. "How painful are honest words! But what does your argument prove?
 
 
  1. Niyə sözlərimi qınamaq istəyirsiniz? Niyə mən biçarənin dediyini boşboğazlıq sanırsınız?
  2. Yetim üçün belə, püşk atırsınız, Dostunuzu satırsınız.
