  1. "Surely there is a mine for silver And a place where they refine gold.
  2. "Iron is taken from the dust, And copper is smelted from rock.
  3. "Man puts an end to darkness, And to the farthest limit he searches out The rock in gloom and deep shadow.
  4. "He sinks a shaft far from habitation, Forgotten by the foot; They hang and swing to and fro far from men.
  5. "The earth, from it comes food, And underneath it is turned up as fire.
  1. Gümüşün mədəni, Qızılın təmizlənmə yeri var.
  2. Dəmir torpaqdan çıxarılır, Mis daşlardan əridilərək alınır.
  3. İnsan qaranlığa son qoyur, Sonacan qatı qaranlıqda, zülmətdə filiz axtarır.
  4. İnsan məskənlərindən uzaq bir çuxur açır, İnsan ayağı dəyməyən yerlərdə, İnsanlardan uzaqlarda ilişib yellənə-yellənə qalır.
  5. Torpaqdan çörək çıxır, Torpağın altı isə fırlanır, elə bil odlar yanır.
 
 
  1. "Its rocks are the source of sapphires, And its dust contains gold.
  2. "The path no bird of prey knows, Nor has the falcon's eye caught sight of it.
  3. "The proud beasts have not trodden it, Nor has the fierce lion passed over it.
  4. "He puts his hand on the flint; He overturns the mountains at the base.
  5. "He hews out channels through the rocks, And his eye sees anything precious.
  1. Qayalarından göy yaqut çıxır, Orada qızıl tozu da var.
  2. Oranın yolunu yırtıcı quşlar bilmir, Şahinin gözü oranı görməyib.
  3. Ora məğrur heyvanların ayağı dəyməyib, Yırtıcı aslanlar oradan keçməyib.
  4. Mədənçi əlini çaxmaq daşına uzadır, Dağları dibindən oynadır.
  5. Qayalardan yeraltı keçidlər açır, Gözləri müxtəlif qiymətli şeylərə baxır.
 
 
  1. "He dams up the streams from flowing, And what is hidden he brings out to the light.
  2. "But where can wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?
  3. "Man does not know its value, Nor is it found in the land of the living.
  4. "The deep says, 'It is not in me'; And the sea says, 'It is not with me.'
  5. "Pure gold cannot be given in exchange for it, Nor can silver be weighed as its price.
  1. Çayların mənbələrini bağlayır, Gizlini aşkara çıxarır.
  2. Amma hikməti haradan tapmaq olar? Müdrikliyin yeri hanı?
  3. İnsan onun qiymətini bilməz, Dirilər arasında ona rast gəlməz.
  4. Dərinliklər deyər: “Məndə yoxdur”, Dəniz deyər: “Yanımda yoxdur”.
  5. Saf qızıl onu əvəz edə bilməz, Qiyməti gümüşlə ölçülməz.
 
 
  1. "It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir, In precious onyx, or sapphire.
  2. "Gold or glass cannot equal it, Nor can it be exchanged for articles of fine gold.
  3. "Coral and crystal are not to be mentioned; And the acquisition of wisdom is above that of pearls.
  4. "The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it, Nor can it be valued in pure gold.
  5. "Where then does wisdom come from? And where is the place of understanding?
  1. Onu Ofir qızılı ilə qiymətləndirmək olmaz, Onu qiymətli damarlı əqiqlə, göy yaqutla dəyərləndirmək olmaz.
  2. Nə qızıl, nə də gözəl cam ona tay deyil, Hikmət saf qızıl qablarla əvəz edilmir.
  3. Yanında mərcanın, büllurun adı çəkilməz, Hikmətin qiyməti yaqutdan artıqdır.
  4. Kuş topazı onun tayı deyil, Onun dəyəri saf qızılla ölçülməz.
  5. Bəs hikmət haradan gəlir? Müdrikliyin yeri hanı?
 
 
  1. "Thus it is hidden from the eyes of all living And concealed from the birds of the sky.
  2. "Abaddon and Death say, 'With our ears we have heard a report of it.'
  3. "God understands its way, And He knows its place.
  4. "For He looks to the ends of the earth And sees everything under the heavens.
  5. "When He imparted weight to the wind And meted out the waters by measure,
  1. O bütün canlıların gözündən uzaqdır, Göydə uçan quşlardan belə, gizli qalır.
  2. Həlak yeri ilə ölüm belə deyir: “Qulaqlarımız yalnız sorağını eşidir”.
  3. Onun yolunu Allah dərk edir, Yerini yalnız O bilir.
  4. Çünki yer üzünün ucqarlarına qədər baxır, Göylərin altındakı hər şeyi görür.
  5. Küləyin gücünü təyin edəndə, Suları ölçəndə,
 
 
  1. When He set a limit for the rain And a course for the thunderbolt,
  2. Then He saw it and declared it; He established it and also searched it out.
  3. "And to man He said, 'Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.'"
  1. Yağışa qanun qoyanda, Şimşəyə yol açanda
  2. Hikmətə baxıb qiymət qoydu, Onu bərqərar edib araşdırdı.
  3. İnsana dedi: “Rəbb qorxusu hikmətdir, Pislikdən çəkinmək müdriklikdir”».
