  1. "Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook? Or press down his tongue with a cord?
  2. "Can you put a rope in his nose Or pierce his jaw with a hook?
  3. "Will he make many supplications to you, Or will he speak to you soft words?
  4. "Will he make a covenant with you? Will you take him for a servant forever?
  5. "Will you play with him as with a bird, Or will you bind him for your maidens?
  1. Məgər sən Livyatanı qarmaqla çəkə bilərsənmi? Dilinə qaytan vura bilərsənmi?
  2. Burnuna ip taxa bilərsənmi? Qıra ilə çənəsini deşə bilərsənmi?
  3. Sənə yalvarıb-yaxararmı, Səninlə şirin-şirin danışarmı?
  4. Əbədi qulun olmaq üçün Səninlə əhd kəsərmi?
  5. Quşla oynadığın kimi onunla oynaya bilərsənmi? Boynuna ip bağlayıb onu qızların üçün apara bilərsənmi?
 
 
  1. "Will the traders bargain over him? Will they divide him among the merchants?
  2. "Can you fill his skin with harpoons, Or his head with fishing spears?
  3. "Lay your hand on him; Remember the battle; you will not do it again!
  4. "Behold, your expectation is false; Will you be laid low even at the sight of him?
  5. "No one is so fierce that he dares to arouse him; Who then is he that can stand before Me?

  1. "One is so near to another That no air can come between them.
  2. "They are joined one to another; They clasp each other and cannot be separated.
  3. "His sneezes flash forth light, And his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
  4. "Out of his mouth go burning torches; Sparks of fire leap forth.
  5. "Out of his nostrils smoke goes forth As from a boiling pot and burning rushes.
  1. Bir-birlərinə elə bağlanıb ki, Arasından hava keçməz.
  2. Bir-birlərinə elə yapışıb ki, Birdir, ayrılmaz.
  3. Asqıranda od sıçrayır, Gözləri səhər işığı tək par-par yanır.
  4. Ağzından alovlu məşəllər çıxır, Qığılcımlar saçılır.
  5. Burnunun deşiklərindən tüstü çıxır, Elə bil qazan qaynayır, qamış yanır.
 
 
  1. "His breath kindles coals, And a flame goes forth from his mouth.
  2. "In his neck lodges strength, And dismay leaps before him.
  3. "The folds of his flesh are joined together, Firm on him and immovable.
  4. "His heart is as hard as a stone, Even as hard as a lower millstone.
  5. "When he raises himself up, the mighty fear; Because of the crashing they are bewildered.
  1. Nəfəsindən kömürlər közərir, Ağzından alov çıxır.
  2. Boynunda qüvvət yaşayır, Qabağında dəhşət oynayır.
  3. Ətinin qatları bir-birinə bitişib, Oradan tərpənə bilməz, üstünə bərk yapışıb.
  4. Ürəyi daş kimi möhkəmdir, Dəyirmanın alt daşı kimi bərkdir.
  5. Qalxanda güclülər lərzəyə gəlir, Qorxub ürəkləri gedir.
 
 
  1. "The sword that reaches him cannot avail, Nor the spear, the dart or the javelin.
  2. "He regards iron as straw, Bronze as rotten wood.
  3. "The arrow cannot make him flee; Slingstones are turned into stubble for him.
  4. "Clubs are regarded as stubble; He laughs at the rattling of the javelin.
  5. "His underparts are like sharp potsherds; He spreads out like a threshing sledge on the mire.
  1. Üstünə qılınc çəkməyin faydasızdır, Nizə, tir, mizraqdan kar aşmır.
  2. Dəmiri saman çöpü, Tuncu çürük odun sayır.
  3. O, oxlardan qaçmır, Sapanddan daş atsan, elə bilər ki, çöpdür.
  4. Dəyənəkləri küləş qırıntısı sanır, Mizraqın vıyıltısına gülür.
  5. Qarnının altı sərt saxsıya oxşayır, Palçıq üstə vəl kimi iz qoyur.
 
 
  1. "He makes the depths boil like a pot; He makes the sea like a jar of ointment.
  2. "Behind him he makes a wake to shine; One would think the deep to be gray-haired.
  3. "Nothing on earth is like him, One made without fear.
  4. "He looks on everything that is high; He is king over all the sons of pride."
  1. Dərin suları bir qazan kimi qaynadır, Dənizi ətir küpünə döndərir,
  2. Arxasınca parlaq bir iz buraxır, İnsan bu dərinliyi ağaran saça oxşadır.
  3. Yer üzündə misli-bərabəri yoxdur, Qorxu bilməyən məxluqdur.
  4. Hər lovğalanana xor baxır, Bütün məğrur heyvanların hakimidir».
