  1. O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath.
  2. Be merciful to me, LORD, for I am faint; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are in agony.
  3. My soul is in anguish. How long, O LORD, how long?
  4. Turn, O LORD, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love.
  5. No one remembers you when he is dead. Who praises you from the grave ?
  1. O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
  2. Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
  3. My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
  4. Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.
  5. For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
 
 
  1. I am worn out from groaning; all night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.
  2. My eyes grow weak with sorrow; they fail because of all my foes.
  3. Away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my weeping.
  4. The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.
  5. All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed; they will turn back in sudden disgrace.
  1. I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
  2. Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
  3. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
  4. The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
  5. Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
