  1. 大衛與千夫長、百夫長、就是一切首領商議。
  2. 大衛對以色列全會眾說、你們若以為美、見這事是出於耶和華我們的　神、我們就差遣人走遍以色列地、見我們未來的弟兄、又見住在有郊野之城的祭司利未人、使他們都到這裡來聚集．
  3. 我們要把　神的約櫃運到我們這裡來．因為在掃羅年間、我們沒有在約櫃前求問　神。
  4. 全會眾都說、可以如此行．這事在眾民眼中、都看為好。
  5. 於是大衛將以色列人、從埃及的西曷河、直到哈馬口、都招聚了來、要從基列耶琳將　神的約櫃運來。
  1. David conferred with each of his officers, the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds.
  2. He then said to the whole assembly of Israel, "If it seems good to you and if it is the will of the LORD our God, let us send word far and wide to the rest of our brothers throughout the territories of Israel, and also to the priests and Levites who are with them in their towns and pasturelands, to come and join us.
  3. Let us bring the ark of our God back to us, for we did not inquire of it during the reign of Saul."
  4. The whole assembly agreed to do this, because it seemed right to all the people.
  5. So David assembled all the Israelites, from the Shihor River in Egypt to Lebo Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim.
 
 
  1. 大衛率領以色列眾人、上到巴拉、就是屬猶大的基列耶琳、要從那裡將約櫃運來．這約櫃就是坐在二萖𤦤𠒇上、耶和華　神留名的約櫃。
  2. 他們將　神的約櫃、從亞比拿達的家裡抬出來、放在新車上．烏撒和亞希約趕車。
  3. 大衛和以色列眾人、在　神前用琴、瑟、鑼鼓、號、作樂、極力跳舞歌唱。
  4. 到了基頓的禾場、〔基頓撒母耳下六章六節作拿艮〕因為牛失前蹄、〔或作驚跳〕烏撒就伸手扶住約櫃。
  5. 耶和華向他發怒、因他伸手扶住約櫃擊殺他、他就死在　神面前。
  1. David and all the Israelites with him went to Baalah of Judah (Kiriath Jearim) to bring up from there the ark of God the LORD, who is enthroned between the cherubim--the ark that is called by the Name.
  2. They moved the ark of God from Abinadab's house on a new cart, with Uzzah and Ahio guiding it.
  3. David and all the Israelites were celebrating with all their might before God, with songs and with harps, lyres, tambourines, cymbals and trumpets.
  4. When they came to the threshing floor of Kidon, Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the ark, because the oxen stumbled.
  5. The LORD's anger burned against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God.
 
 
  1. 大衛因耶和華擊殺〔原文作闖殺〕烏撒、心裡愁煩、就稱那地方為毘列斯烏撒、直到今日。
  2. 那日大衛懼怕　神、說、　神的約櫃、怎可運到我這裡來。
  3. 於是大衛不將約櫃運進大衛的城、卻運到迦特人俄別以東的家中。
  4. 　神的約櫃在俄別以東家中三個月．耶和華賜福給俄別以東的家和他一切所有的。
  1. Then David was angry because the LORD's wrath had broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is called Perez Uzzah.
  2. David was afraid of God that day and asked, "How can I ever bring the ark of God to me?"
  3. He did not take the ark to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it aside to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.
  4. The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house for three months, and the LORD blessed his household and everything he had.
