  1. And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
  2. Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.
  3. It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.
  4. Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.
  5. And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD:
  1. 猶大王、約西亞的兒子約雅敬第四年、耶和華的話臨到耶利米說、
  2. 你取一書卷、將我對你說攻擊以色列、和猶大、並各國的一切話、從我對你說話的那日、就是從約西亞的日子起、直到今日、都寫在其上．
  3. 或者猶大家聽見我想要降與他們的一切災禍、各人就回頭離開惡道、我好赦免他們的罪孽和罪惡。
  4. 所以耶利米召了尼利亞的兒子巴錄來、巴錄就從耶利米口中、將耶和華對耶利米所說的一切話寫在書卷上。
  5. 耶利米吩咐巴錄說、我被拘管、不能進耶和華的殿．
 
 
  1. Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD's house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.
  2. It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.
  3. And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the LORD in the LORD's house.
  4. And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.
  5. Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house, in the ears of all the people.
  1. 所以你要去、趁禁食的日子、在耶和華殿中、將耶和華的話、就是你從我口中所寫在書卷上的話、念給百姓和一切從猶大城邑出來的人聽．
  2. 或者他們在耶和華面前懇求、各人回頭離開惡道．因為耶和華向這百姓所說要發的怒氣和忿怒是大的。
  3. 尼利亞的兒子巴錄就照先知耶利米一切所吩咐的去行、在耶和華的殿中、從書上念耶和華的話。
  4. 猶大王、約西亞的兒子約雅敬第五年九月、耶路撒冷的眾民、和那從猶大城邑來到耶路撒冷的眾民、在耶和華面前宣告禁食的日子。
  5. 巴錄就在耶和華殿的上院、耶和華殿的新門口、沙番的兒子文士基瑪利雅的屋內、念書上耶利米的話給眾民聽。
 
 
  1. When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the LORD,
  2. Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.
  3. Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.
  4. Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.
  5. And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.
  1. 沙番的孫子基瑪利雅的兒子米該亞、聽見書上耶和華的一切話、
  2. 他就下到王宮、進入文士的屋子．眾首領、就是文士以利沙瑪、示瑪雅的兒子第萊雅、亞革波的兒子以利拿單、沙番的兒子基瑪利雅、哈拿尼雅的兒子西底家、和其餘的首領、都坐在那裡。
  3. 於是米該亞對他們述說他所聽見的一切話、就是巴錄向百姓念那書的時候所聽見的。
  4. 眾首領就打發古示的曾孫示利米雅的孫子尼探雅的兒子猶底到巴錄那裡、對他說、你將所念給百姓聽的書卷拿在手中、到我們這裡來．尼利亞的兒子巴錄就手拿書卷、來到他們那裡。
  5. 他們對他說、請你坐下、念給我們聽．巴錄就念給他們聽。
 
 
  1. Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.
  2. And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth?
  3. Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.
  4. Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be.
  5. And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.
  1. 他們聽見這一切話就害怕、面面相觀、對巴錄說、我們必須將這一切話告訴王。
  2. 他們問巴錄說、請你告訴我們、你怎樣從他口中寫這一切話呢。
  3. 巴錄回答說、他用口向我說這一切話、我就用筆墨寫在書上。
  4. 眾首領對巴錄說、你和耶利米要去藏起來．不可叫人知道你們在那裡。
  5. 眾首領進院見王、卻先把書卷存在文士以利沙瑪的屋內．以後將這一切話說給王聽。
 
 
  1. So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.
  2. Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.
  3. And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.
  4. Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.
  5. Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them.
  1. 王就打發猶底去拿這書卷來．他便從文士以利沙瑪的屋內取來、念給王、和王左右侍立的眾首領聽。
  2. 那時正是九月、王坐在過冬的房屋裡、王的前面火盆中有燒冲的火。
  3. 猶底念了三四篇、〔或作行〕王就用文士的刀將書卷割破、扔在火盆中、直到全卷在火中燒盡了。
  4. 王和聽見這一切話的臣僕、都不懼怕、也不撕裂衣服。
  5. 以利拿單和第萊雅並基瑪利雅懇求王不要燒這書卷．他卻不聽。
 
 
  1. But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the LORD hid them.
  2. Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,
  3. Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.
  4. And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?
  5. Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.
  1. 王就吩咐哈米勒的兒子〔或作王的兒子〕耶拉篾、和亞斯列的兒子西萊雅、並亞伯疊的兒子示利米雅、去捉拿文士巴錄、和先知耶利米．耶和華卻將他們隱藏。
  2. 王燒了書卷．其上有巴錄從耶利米口中所寫的話、以後耶和華的話臨到耶利米說、
  3. 你再取一卷、將猶大王約雅敬所燒第一卷上的一切話寫在其上。
  4. 論到猶大王約雅敬你要說、耶和華如此說、你燒了書卷、說、你為甚麼在其上寫著說、巴比倫王必要來毀滅這地、使這地上絕了人民牲畜呢。
  5. 所以耶和華論到猶大王約雅敬說．他後裔中必沒有人坐在大衛的寶座上．他的屍首必被拋棄、白日受炎熱、黑夜受寒霜。
 
 
  1. And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.
  2. Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.
  1. 我必因他、和他後裔．並他臣僕的罪孽、刑罰他們．我要使我所說的一切災禍臨到他們、和耶路撒冷的居民、並猶大人．只是他們不聽。
  2. 於是耶利米又取一書卷、交給尼利亞的兒子文士巴錄、他就從耶利米的口中寫了猶大王約雅敬所燒前卷上的一切話．另外又添了許多相彷的話。
