  1. 大祭司就說、這些事果然有麼。
  2. 司提反說、諸位父兄請聽.當日我們的祖宗亞伯拉罕在米所波大米還未住哈蘭的時候、榮耀的 神向他顯現、
  3. 對他說、『你要離開本地和親族、往我所要指示你的地方去。』
  4. 他就離開迦勒底人之地住在哈蘭.他父親死了以後、 神使他從那裡搬到你們現在所住之地.
  5. 在這地方 神並沒有給他產業、連立足之地也沒有給他.但應許要將這地賜給他和他的後裔為業.那時他還沒有兒子。
  1. The high priest said, "Are these things so?"
  2. And he said, "Hear me, brethren and fathers! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran,
  3. and said to him, 'LEAVE YOUR COUNTRY AND YOUR RELATIVES, AND COME INTO THE LAND THAT I WILL SHOW YOU.'
  4. "Then he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran From there, after his father died, God had him move to this country in which you are now living.
  5. "But He gave him no inheritance in it, not even a foot of ground, and yet, even when he had no child, He promised that HE WOULD GIVE IT TO HIM AS A POSSESSION, AND TO HIS DESCENDANTS AFTER HIM.
 
 
  1.  神說、他的後裔、必寄居外邦、那裡的人、要叫他們作奴僕、苦待他們四百年。
  2.  神又說、使他們作奴僕的那國、我要懲罰、以後他們要出來、在這地方事奉我。
  3.  神又賜他割禮的約.於是亞伯拉罕生了以撒、第八日姶他行了割禮.以撒生雅各、雅各生十二位先祖。
  4. 先祖嫉妒約瑟、把他賣到埃及去. 神卻與他同在、
  5. 救他脫離一切苦難、又使他在埃及王法老面前、得恩典有智慧.法老就派他作埃及國的宰相兼管全家。
  1. "But God spoke to this effect, that his DESCENDANTS WOULD BE ALIENS IN A FOREIGN LAND, AND THAT THEY WOULD BE ENSLAVED AND MISTREATED FOR FOUR HUNDRED YEARS.
  2. " 'AND WHATEVER NATION TO WHICH THEY WILL BE IN BONDAGE I MYSELF WILL JUDGE,' said God, 'AND AFTER THAT THEY WILL COME OUT AND SERVE ME IN THIS PLACE.'
  3. "And He gave him the covenant of circumcision; and so Abraham became the father of Isaac, and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob of the twelve patriarchs.
  4. "The patriarchs became jealous of Joseph and sold him into Egypt. Yet God was with him,
  5. and rescued him from all his afflictions, and granted him favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he made him governor over Egypt and all his household.
 
 
  1. 後來埃及和迦南全地遭遇饑荒、大受艱難、我們的祖宗、就絕了糧。
  2. 雅各聽見在埃及有糧、就打發我們的祖宗、初次往那裡去。
  3. 第二次約瑟與弟兄們相認、他的親族也被法老知道了。
  4. 約瑟就打發弟兄請父親雅各、和全家七十五個人都來。
  5. 於是雅各下了埃及、後來他和我們的祖宗都死在那裡。
  1. "Now a famine came over all Egypt and Canaan, and great affliction with it, and our fathers could find no food.
  2. "But when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent our fathers there the first time.
  3. "On the second visit Joseph made himself known to his brothers, and Joseph's family was disclosed to Pharaoh.
  4. "Then Joseph sent word and invited Jacob his father and all his relatives to come to him, seventy-five persons in all.
  5. "And Jacob went down to Egypt and there he and our fathers died.
 
 
  1. 又被帶到示劍、葬於亞伯拉罕在示劍用銀子從哈抹子孫買來的墳墓裡。
  2. 及至 神應許亞伯拉罕的日期將到、以色列民在埃及興盛眾多、
  3. 直到有不曉得約瑟的新王興起.
  4. 他用詭計待我們的宗族、苦害我們的祖宗、叫他們丟棄嬰孩、使嬰孩不能存活。
  5. 那時、摩西生下來、俊美非凡、在他父親家裡撫養了三個月。
  1. "From there they were removed to Shechem and laid in the tomb which Abraham had purchased for a sum of money from the sons of Hamor in Shechem.
  2. "But as the time of the promise was approaching which God had assured to Abraham, the people increased and multiplied in Egypt,
  3. until THERE AROSE ANOTHER KING OVER EGYPT WHO KNEW NOTHING ABOUT JOSEPH.
  4. "It was he who took shrewd advantage of our race and mistreated our fathers so that they would expose their infants and they would not survive.
  5. "It was at this time that Moses was born; and he was lovely in the sight of God, and he was nurtured three months in his father's home.
 
 
  1. 他被丟棄的時候、法老的女兒拾了去、養為自己的兒子。
  2. 摩西學了埃及人一切的學問、說話行事、都有才能。
  3. 他將到四十歲、心中起意、去看望他的弟兄以色列人.
  4. 到了那裡、見他們一個人受冤屈、就護庇他、為那受欺壓的人報仇、打死了那埃及人。
  5. 他以為弟兄必明白 神是藉他的手搭救他們.他們卻不明白。
  1. "And after he had been set outside, Pharaoh's daughter took him away and nurtured him as her own son.
  2. "Moses was educated in all the learning of the Egyptians, and he was a man of power in words and deeds.
  3. "But when he was approaching the age of forty, it entered his mind to visit his brethren, the sons of Israel.
  4. "And when he saw one of them being treated unjustly, he defended him and took vengeance for the oppressed by striking down the Egyptian.
  5. "And he supposed that his brethren understood that God was granting them deliverance through him, but they did not understand.
 
 
  1. 第二天、遇見兩個以色列人爭鬥、就勸他們和睦、說、你們二位是弟兄、為甚麼彼此欺負呢。
  2. 那欺負鄰舍的、把他推開說、『誰立你作我們的首領、和審判官呢.
  3. 難道你要殺我、像昨天殺那埃及人麼。』
  4. 摩西聽見這話就逃走了、寄居於米甸.在那裡生了兩個兒子。
  5. 過了四十年、在西乃山的曠野、有一位天使、從荊棘火焰中、向摩西顯現。
  1. "On the following day he appeared to them as they were fighting together, and he tried to reconcile them in peace, saying, 'Men, you are brethren, why do you injure one another?'
  2. "But the one who was injuring his neighbor pushed him away, saying, 'WHO MADE YOU A RULER AND JUDGE OVER US?
  3. 'YOU DO NOT MEAN TO KILL ME AS YOU KILLED THE EGYPTIAN YESTERDAY, DO YOU?'
  4. "At this remark, MOSES FLED AND BECAME AN ALIEN IN THE LAND OF MIDIAN, where he became the father of two sons.
  5. "After forty years had passed, AN ANGEL APPEARED TO HIM IN THE WILDERNESS OF MOUNT Sinai, IN THE FLAME OF A BURNING THORN BUSH.
 
 
  1. 摩西見了那異象、便覺希奇.正進前觀看的時候、有主的聲音說、
  2. 『我是你列祖的 神、就是亞伯拉罕的 神、以撒的 神、雅各的 神。』摩西戰戰兢兢、不敢觀看。
  3. 主對他說、『把你腳上的鞋脫下來.因為你所站之地是聖地。
  4. 我的百姓在埃及所受的困苦、我實在看見了.他們悲歎的聲音、我也聽見了.我下來要救他們、你來、我要差你往埃及去。』
  5. 這摩西、就是百姓棄絕說、誰立你作我們的首領、和審判官的. 神卻藉那在荊棘中顯現之使者的手、差派他作首領、作救贖的。
  1. "When Moses saw it, he marveled at the sight; and as he approached to look more closely, there came the voice of the Lord:
  2. 'I AM THE GOD OF YOUR FATHERS, THE GOD OF ABRAHAM AND ISAAC AND JACOB.' Moses shook with fear and would not venture to look.
  3. "BUT THE LORD SAID TO HIM, 'TAKE OFF THE SANDALS FROM YOUR FEET, FOR THE PLACE ON WHICH YOU ARE STANDING IS HOLY GROUND.
  4. 'I HAVE CERTAINLY SEEN THE OPPRESSION OF MY PEOPLE IN EGYPT AND HAVE HEARD THEIR GROANS, AND I HAVE COME DOWN TO RESCUE THEM; COME NOW, AND I WILL SEND YOU TO EGYPT.'
  5. "This Moses whom they disowned, saying, 'WHO MADE YOU A RULER AND A JUDGE?' is the one whom God sent to be both a ruler and a deliverer with the help of the angel who appeared to him in the thorn bush.
 
 
  1. 這人領百姓出來、在埃及、在紅海、在曠野、四十年間行了奇事神蹟。
  2. 那曾對以色列人說、『 神要從你們弟兄中間、給你們興起一位先知像我的、』就是這位摩西。
  3. 這人曾在曠野會中、和西乃山上與那對他說話的天使同在、又與我們的祖宗同在、並且領受活潑的聖言傳給我們。
  4. 我們的祖宗不肯聽從、反棄絕他、心裡歸向埃及、
  5. 對亞倫說、『你且為我們造些神像、在我們前面引路.因為領我們出埃及地的那個摩西、我們不知道他遭了甚麼事。』
  1. "This man led them out, performing wonders and signs in the land of Egypt and in the Red Sea and in the wilderness for forty years.
  2. "This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel, 'GOD WILL RAISE UP FOR YOU A PROPHET LIKE ME FROM YOUR BRETHREN.'
  3. "This is the one who was in the congregation in the wilderness together with the angel who was speaking to him on Mount Sinai, and who was with our fathers; and he received living oracles to pass on to you.
  4. "Our fathers were unwilling to be obedient to him, but repudiated him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt,
  5. SAYING TO AARON, 'MAKE FOR US GODS WHO WILL GO BEFORE US; FOR THIS MOSES WHO LED US OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT--WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM.'
 
 
  1. 那時、他們造了一個牛犢、又拿祭物獻給那像、歡喜自己手中的工作。
  2.  神就轉臉不顧、任憑他們事奉天上的日月星辰、正如先知書上所寫的說、『以色列家阿、你們四十年間在曠野、豈是將犧牲和祭物獻給我麼。
  3. 你們抬著摩洛的帳幕、和理番神的星.就是你們所造為要敬拜的像.因此、我要把你們遷到巴比倫外去。』
  4. 我們的祖宗在曠野、有法櫃的帳幕、是 神吩咐摩西叫他照所看見的樣式作的。
  5. 這帳幕、我們的祖宗相繼承受、當 神在他們面前趕出外邦人去的時候、他們同約書亞把帳幕搬進承受為業之地、直存到大衛的日子。
  1. "At that time they made a calf and brought a sacrifice to the idol, and were rejoicing in the works of their hands.
  2. "But God turned away and delivered them up to serve the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, 'IT WAS NOT TO ME THAT YOU OFFERED VICTIMS AND SACRIFICES FORTY YEARS IN THE WILDERNESS, WAS IT, O HOUSE OF ISRAEL?
  3. 'YOU ALSO TOOK ALONG THE TABERNACLE OF MOLOCH AND THE STAR OF THE GOD ROMPHA, THE IMAGES WHICH YOU MADE TO WORSHIP. I ALSO WILL REMOVE YOU BEYOND BABYLON.'
  4. "Our fathers had the tabernacle of testimony in the wilderness, just as He who spoke to Moses directed him to make it according to the pattern which he had seen.
  5. "And having received it in their turn, our fathers brought it in with Joshua upon dispossessing the nations whom God drove out before our fathers, until the time of David.
 
 
  1. 大衛在 神面前蒙恩、祈求為雅各的 神豫備居所.
  2. 卻是所羅門為 神造成殿宇。
  3. 其實至高者並不住人手所造的.就如先知所言、
  4. 『主說、天是我的座位、地是我的腳凳.你們要為我造何等的殿宇、那裡是我安息的地方呢.
  5. 這一切不都是我手所造的麼。』
  1. "David found favor in God's sight, and asked that he might find a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.
  2. "But it was Solomon who built a house for Him.
  3. "However, the Most High does not dwell in houses made by human hands; as the prophet says:
  4. 'HEAVEN IS MY THRONE, AND EARTH IS THE FOOTSTOOL OF MY FEET; WHAT KIND OF HOUSE WILL YOU BUILD FOR ME?' says the Lord, 'OR WHAT PLACE IS THERE FOR MY REPOSE?
  5. 'WAS IT NOT MY HAND WHICH MADE ALL THESE THINGS?'
 
 
  1. 你們這硬著頸項、心與耳未受割禮的人、常時抗拒聖靈.你們的祖宗怎樣、你們也怎樣。
  2. 那一個先知、不是你們祖宗逼迫呢.他們也把豫先傳說那義者要來的人殺了.如今你們又把那義者賣了、殺了。
  3. 你們受了天使所傳的律法、竟不遵守
  4. 眾人聽見這話、就極其惱怒、向司提反咬牙切齒。
  5. 但司提反被聖靈充滿、定睛望天、看見 神的榮耀、又看見耶穌站在 神的右邊.
  1. "You men who are stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears are always resisting the Holy Spirit; you are doing just as your fathers did.
  2. "Which one of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? They killed those who had previously announced the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become;
  3. you who received the law as ordained by angels, and yet did not keep it."
  4. Now when they heard this, they were cut to the quick, and they began gnashing their teeth at him.
  5. But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God;
 
 
  1. 就說、我看見天開了、人子站在 神的右邊。
  2. 眾人大聲喊叫、摀著耳朵、齊心擁上前去.
  3. 把他推到城外、用石頭打他.作見證的人、把衣裳放在一個少年人名叫掃羅的腳前。
  4. 他們正用石頭打的時候、司提反呼籲主說、求主耶穌接收我的靈魂。
  5. 又跪下大聲喊著說、主阿、不要將這罪歸於他們。說了這話、就睡了.掃羅也喜悅他被害。
  1. and he said, "Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God."
  2. But they cried out with a loud voice, and covered their ears and rushed at him with one impulse.
  3. When they had driven him out of the city, they began stoning him; and the witnesses laid aside their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul.
  4. They went on stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!"
  5. Then falling on his knees, he cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them!" Having said this, he fell asleep.
