  1. 弟兄們、我現在對明白律法的人說、你們豈不曉得律法管人是在活著的時候麼。
  2. 就如女人有了丈夫、丈夫還活著、就被律法約束．丈夫若死了、就脫離了丈夫的律法。
  3. 所以丈夫活著、他若歸於別人、便叫淫婦．丈夫若死了、他就脫離了丈夫的律法、雖然歸於別人、也不是淫婦。
  4. 我的弟兄們、這樣說來、你們藉著基督的身體、在律法上也是死了．叫你們歸於別人、就是歸於那從死裡復活的、叫我們結果子給　神。
  5. 因為我們屬肉體的時候、那因律法而生的惡慾、就在我們肢體中發動、以致結成死亡的果子．
  1. Or do you not know, brethren (for I am speaking to those who know the law), that the law has jurisdiction over a person as long as he lives?
  2. For the married woman is bound by law to her husband while he is living; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband.
  3. So then, if while her husband is living she is joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress though she is joined to another man.
  4. Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.
  5. For while we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were aroused by the Law, were at work in the members of our body to bear fruit for death.
 
 
  1. 但我們既然在捆我們的律法上死了、現今就脫離了律法．叫我們服事主、要按著心靈的新樣、不按著儀文的舊樣。〔心靈或作聖靈〕
  2. 這樣、我們可說甚麼呢．律法是罪麼．斷乎不是．只是非因律法、我就不知何為罪．非律法說、『不可起貪心。』我就不知何為貪心。
  3. 然而罪趁著機會、就藉著誡命叫諸般的貪心在我裡頭發動．因為沒有律法罪是死的。
  4. 我以前沒有律法是活著的、但是誡命來到、罪又活了、我就死了。
  5. 那本來叫人活的誡命、反倒叫我死．
  1. But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.
  2. What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, "YOU SHALL NOT COVET."
  3. But sin, taking opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind; for apart from the Law sin is dead.
  4. I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin became alive and I died;
  5. and this commandment, which was to result in life, proved to result in death for me;
 
 
  1. 因為罪趁著機會、就藉著誡命引誘我、並且殺了我。
  2. 這樣看來、律法是聖潔的、誡命也是聖潔、公義、良善的。
  3. 既然如此、那良善的是叫我死麼．斷乎不是．叫我死的乃是罪。但罪藉著那良善的叫我死、就顯出真是罪．叫罪因著誡命更顯出是惡極了。
  4. 我們原曉得律法是屬乎靈的、但我是屬乎肉體的、是已經賣給罪了。
  5. 因為我所作的、我自己不明白．我所願意的、我並不作．我所恨惡的、我倒去作。
  1. for sin, taking an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me.
  2. So then, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.
  3. Therefore did that which is good become a cause of death for me? May it never be! Rather it was sin, in order that it might be shown to be sin by effecting my death through that which is good, so that through the commandment sin would become utterly sinful.
  4. For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin.
  5. For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.
 
 
  1. 若我所作的、是我所不願意的、我就應承律法是善的。
  2. 既是這樣、就不是我作的、乃是住在我裡頭的罪作的。
  3. 我也知道、在我裡頭、就是我肉體之中、沒有良善．因為立志為善由得我、只是行出來由不得我。
  4. 故此、我所願意的善、我反不作．我所不願意的惡、我倒去作。
  5. 若我去作所不願意作的、就不是我作的、乃是住在我裡頭的罪作的。
  1. But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good.
  2. So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.
  3. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.
  4. For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want.
  5. But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.
 
 
  1. 我覺得有個律、就是我願意為善的時候、便有惡與我同在。
  2. 因為按著我裡面的意思。〔原文作人〕我是喜歡　神的律．
  3. 但我覺得肢體中另有個律、和我心中的律交戰、把我擄去叫我附從那肢體中犯罪的律。
  4. 我真是苦阿、誰能救我脫離這取死的身體呢。
  5. 感謝　神、靠著我們的主耶穌基督就能脫離了。這樣看來、我以內心順服　神的律．我肉體卻順服罪的律了。
  1. I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.
  2. For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man,
  3. but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.
  4. Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?
  5. Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.
