  1. 這是我第三次要到你們那裡去。憑兩三個人的口作見證、句句都要定準。
  2. 我從前說過、如今不在你們那裡又說、正如我第二次見你們的時候所說的一樣、就是對那犯了罪的、和其餘的人說、我若再來必不寬容。
  3. 你們既然尋求基督在我裡面說話的憑據、我必不寬容．因為基督在你們身上、不是軟弱的．在你們裡面、是有大能的。
  4. 他因軟弱被釘在十字架上、卻因　神的大能、仍然活著．我們也是這樣同他軟弱、但因　神向你們所顯的大能、也必與他同活。
  5. 你們總要自己省察有信心沒有．也要自己試驗．豈不知你們若不是可棄絕的、就有耶穌基督在你們心裡麼。
  1. This will be my third visit to you. "Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses."
  2. I already gave you a warning when I was with you the second time. I now repeat it while absent: On my return I will not spare those who sinned earlier or any of the others,
  3. since you are demanding proof that Christ is speaking through me. He is not weak in dealing with you, but is powerful among you.
  4. For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by God's power. Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by God's power we will live with him to serve you.
  5. Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?
 
 
  1. 我卻盼望你們曉得我們不是可棄絕的人。
  2. 我們求　神、叫你們一件惡事都不作．這不是要顯明我們是蒙悅納的、是要你們行事端正、任憑人看我們是被棄絕的罷。
  3. 我們凡事不能敵擋真理、只能扶助真理。
  4. 即使我們軟弱、你們剛強、我們也歡喜．並且我們所求的、就是你們作完全人。
  5. 所以我不在你們那裡的時候、把這話寫給你們、好叫我見你們的時候、不用照主所給我的權柄、嚴厲的待你們．這權柄原是為造就人、並不是為敗壞人。
  1. And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.
  2. Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong. Not that people will see that we have stood the test but that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed.
  3. For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.
  4. We are glad whenever we are weak but you are strong; and our prayer is for your perfection.
  5. This is why I write these things when I am absent, that when I come I may not have to be harsh in my use of authority--the authority the Lord gave me for building you up, not for tearing you down.
 
 
  1. 還有末了的話、願弟兄們都喜樂．要作完全人．要受安慰．要同心合意．要彼此和睦．如此仁愛和平的　神、必常與你們同在。
  2. 你們親嘴問安．彼此務要聖潔。
  3. 眾聖徒都問你們安。
  4. 願主耶穌基督的恩惠、　神的慈愛、聖靈的感動、常與你們眾人同在。
  1. Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
  2. Greet one another with a holy kiss.
  3. All the saints send their greetings.
  4. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
