  1. 掃羅的兒子伊施波設聽見押尼珥死在希伯崙、手就發軟．以色列眾人也都驚惶。
  2. 掃羅的兒子伊施波設有兩個軍長、一名巴拿、一名利甲、是便雅憫支派、比錄人臨門的兒子．比錄也屬便雅憫。
  3. 比錄人早先逃到基他音、在那裡寄居、直到今日。
  4. 掃羅的兒子約拿單有一個兒子名叫米非波設、是瘸腿的．掃羅和約拿單死亡的消息從耶斯列傳到的時候、他纔五歲．他乳母抱著他逃跑、因為跑得太急、孩子掉在地上、腿就瘸了。
  5. 一日、比錄人臨門的兩個兒子、利甲和巴拿出去、約在午熱的時候、到了伊施波設的家、伊施波設正睡午覺。
  1. And when Saul's son heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands were feeble, and all the Israelites were troubled.
  2. And Saul's son had two men that were captains of bands: the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin: (for Beeroth also was reckoned to Benjamin.
  3. And the Beerothites fled to Gittaim, and were sojourners there until this day.)
  4. And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.
  5. And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth, who lay on a bed at noon.
 
 
  1. 他們進了房子、假作要取麥子、就刺透伊施波設的肚腹、逃跑了。
  2. 他們進房子的時候、伊施波設正在臥房裡躺在床上、他們將他殺死、割了他的首級、拿著首級在亞拉巴走了一夜．
  3. 將伊施波設的首級拿到希伯崙見大衛王、說、王的仇敵掃羅、曾尋索王的性命、看哪、這是他兒子伊施波設的首級、耶和華今日為我主我王、在掃羅和他後裔的身上報了仇。
  4. 大衛對比錄人臨門的兒子利甲和他兄弟巴拿說、我指著救我性命脫離一切苦難、永生的耶和華起誓、
  5. 從前有人報告我說、掃羅死了、他自以為報好消息．我就拿住他、將他殺在洗革拉、這就作了他報消息的賞賜．
  1. And they came thither into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they smote him under the fifth rib: and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.
  2. For when they came into the house, he lay on his bed in his bedchamber, and they smote him, and slew him, and beheaded him, and took his head, and gat them away through the plain all night.
  3. And they brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul thine enemy, which sought thy life; and the LORD hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.
  4. And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them, As the LORD liveth, who hath redeemed my soul out of all adversity,
  5. When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his tidings:
 
 
  1. 何況惡人將義人殺在他的床上、我豈不向你們討流他血的罪、從世上除滅你們呢。
  2. 於是大衛吩咐少年人將他們殺了、砍斷他們的手腳、挂在希伯崙的池旁．卻將伊施波設的首級、葬在希伯崙押尼珥的墳墓裡。
  1. How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed? shall I not therefore now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth?
  2. And David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged them up over the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ishbosheth, and buried it in the sepulchre of Abner in Hebron.
