箴言 16 [繁體:NIV]   
 
  1. 心中的謀算在乎人.舌頭的應對、由於耶和華。
  2. 人一切所行的、在自己眼中看為清潔.惟有耶和華衡量人心。
  3. 你所作的、要交託耶和華、你所謀的、就必成立。
  4. 耶和華所造的、各適其用.就是惡人、也為禍患的日子所造。
  5. 凡心裡驕傲的、為耶和華所憎惡.雖然連手、他必不免受罰。
  1. To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue.
  2. All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD.
  3. Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.
  4. The LORD works out everything for his own ends-- even the wicked for a day of disaster.
  5. The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.
 
 
  1. 因憐憫誠實、罪孽得贖.敬畏耶和華的、遠離惡事。
  2. 人所行的若蒙耶和華喜悅、耶和華也使他的仇敵與他和好。
  3. 多有財利、行事不義、不如少有財利、行事公義。
  4. 人心籌算自己的道路.惟耶和華指引他的腳步。
  5. 王的嘴中有神語.審判之時、他的口、必不差錯。
  1. Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the LORD a man avoids evil.
  2. When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.
  3. Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice.
  4. In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.
  5. The lips of a king speak as an oracle, and his mouth should not betray justice.
 
 
  1. 公道的天平和秤、都屬耶和華.囊中一切法碼、都為他所定。
  2. 作惡為王所憎惡.因國位是靠公義堅立。
  3. 公義的嘴、為王所喜悅.說正直話的、為王所喜愛。
  4. 王的震怒、如殺人的使者.但智慧人能止息王怒。
  5. 王的臉光、使人有生命.王的恩典、好像春雲時雨。
  1. Honest scales and balances are from the LORD; all the weights in the bag are of his making.
  2. Kings detest wrongdoing, for a throne is established through righteousness.
  3. Kings take pleasure in honest lips; they value a man who speaks the truth.
  4. A king's wrath is a messenger of death, but a wise man will appease it.
  5. When a king's face brightens, it means life; his favor is like a rain cloud in spring.
 
 
  1. 得智慧勝似得金子.選聰明強如選銀子。
  2. 正直人的道、是遠離惡事.謹守己路的、是保全性命。
  3. 驕傲在敗壞以先.狂心在跌倒之前。
  4. 心裡謙卑與窮乏人來往、強如將擄物與驕傲人同分。
  5. 謹守訓言的、必得好處.倚靠耶和華的、便為有福。
  1. How much better to get wisdom than gold, to choose understanding rather than silver!
  2. The highway of the upright avoids evil; he who guards his way guards his life.
  3. Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.
  4. Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud.
  5. Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.
 
 
  1. 心中有智慧、必稱為通達人.嘴中的甜言、加增人的學問。
  2. 人有智慧就有生命的泉源.愚昧人必被愚昧懲治。
  3. 智慧人的心、教訓他的口、又使他的嘴、增長學問。
  4. 良言如同蜂房、使心覺甘甜、使骨得醫治。
  5. 有一條路、人以為正、至終成為死亡之路。
  1. The wise in heart are called discerning, and pleasant words promote instruction.
  2. Understanding is a fountain of life to those who have it, but folly brings punishment to fools.
  3. A wise man's heart guides his mouth, and his lips promote instruction.
  4. Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
  5. There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
 
 
  1. 勞力人的胃口、使他勞力、因為他的口腹催逼他。
  2. 匪徒圖謀奸惡、嘴上彷彿有燒焦的火。
  3. 乖僻人播散分爭.傳舌的離間密友。
  4. 強暴人誘惑鄰舍、領他走不善之道。
  5. 眼目緊合的、圖謀乖僻、嘴唇緊閉的、成就邪惡。
  1. The laborer's appetite works for him; his hunger drives him on.
  2. A scoundrel plots evil, and his speech is like a scorching fire.
  3. A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends.
  4. A violent man entices his neighbor and leads him down a path that is not good.
  5. He who winks with his eye is plotting perversity; he who purses his lips is bent on evil.
 
 
  1. 白髮是榮耀的冠冕.在公義的道上、必能得著。
  2. 不輕易發怒的、勝過勇士.治服己心的、強如取城。
  3. 籤放在懷裡.定事由耶和華。
  1. Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained by a righteous life.
  2. Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city.
  3. The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.
