  1. Six days before the Passover, Jesus arrived at Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.
  2. Here a dinner was given in Jesus' honor. Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him.
  3. Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
  4. But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected,
  5. "Why wasn't this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year's wages."
  1. 逾越節前六日、耶穌來到伯大尼、就是他叫拉撒路從死裡復活之處。
  2. 有人在那裡給耶穌豫備筵席.馬大伺候、拉撒路也在那同耶穌坐席的人中。
  3. 馬利亞就拿著一斤極貴的真哪噠香膏、抹耶穌的腳、又用自己頭髮去擦.屋裡就滿了膏的香氣。
  4. 有一個門徒、就是那將要賣耶穌的加略人猶大、
  5. 說、這香膏為甚麼不賣三十兩銀子賙濟窮人呢。
 
 
  1. He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.
  2. "Leave her alone," Jesus replied. " It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial.
  3. You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me."
  4. Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.
  5. So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well,
  1. 他說這話、並不是掛念窮人、乃因他是個賊、又帶著錢囊、常取其中所存的。
  2. 耶穌說、由他罷、他是為我安葬之日存留的。
  3. 因為常有窮人和你們同在.只是你們不常有我。
  4. 有許多猶太人知道耶穌在那裡、就來了、不但是為耶穌的緣故、也是要看他從死裡所復活的拉撒路。
  5. 但祭司長商議連拉撒路也要殺了.
 
 
  1. for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and putting their faith in him.
  2. The next day the great crowd that had come for the Feast heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem.
  3. They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, "Hosanna!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Blessed is the King of Israel!"
  4. Jesus found a young donkey and sat upon it, as it is written,
  5. "Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey's colt."
  1. 因有好些猶太人、為拉撒路的緣故、回去信了耶穌。
  2. 第二天有許多上來過節的人、聽見耶穌將到耶路撒冷、
  3. 就拿著棕樹枝、出去迎接他、喊著說、和散那、奉主名來的以色列王、是應當稱頌的。
  4. 耶穌得了一個驢駒、就騎上.如經上所記的說、
  5. 『錫安的民哪、〔民原文作女子〕不要懼怕、你的王騎著驢駒來了。』
 
 
  1. At first his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about him and that they had done these things to him.
  2. Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word.
  3. Many people, because they had heard that he had given this miraculous sign, went out to meet him.
  4. So the Pharisees said to one another, "See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!"
  5. Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the Feast.
  1. 這些事門徒起先不明白.等到耶穌得了榮耀以後、纔想起這話是指著他寫的、並且眾人果然向他這樣行了。
  2. 當耶穌呼喚拉撒路叫他從死復活出墳墓的時候、同耶穌在那裡的眾人、就作見證。
  3. 眾人因聽見耶穌行了這神蹟、就去迎接他。
  4. 法利賽人彼此說、看哪、你們是徒勞無益、世人都隨從他去了。
  5. 那時、上來過節禮拜的人中、有幾個希利尼人。
 
 
  1. They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request. "Sir," they said, "we would like to see Jesus."
  2. Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus.
  3. Jesus replied, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
  4. I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
  5. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
  1. 他們來見加利利伯賽大的腓力、求他說、先生、我們願意見耶穌。
  2. 腓力去告訴安得烈、安得烈同腓力去告訴耶穌。
  3. 耶穌說、人子得榮耀的時候到了。
  4. 我實實在在的告訴你們、一粒麥子不落在地裡死了、仍舊是一粒.若是死了、就結出許多子粒來。
  5. 愛惜自己生命的、就失喪生命.在這世上恨惡自己生命的、就要保守生命到永生。
 
 
  1. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
  2. "Now my heart is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour.
  3. Father, glorify your name!" Then a voice came from heaven, "I have glorified it, and will glorify it again."
  4. The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him.
  5. Jesus said, "This voice was for your benefit, not mine.
  1. 若有人服事我、就當跟從我.我在那裡、服事我的人、也要在那裡.若有人服事我、我父必尊重他。
  2. 我現在心裡憂愁、我說甚麼纔好呢.父阿、救我脫離這時候.但我原是為這時候來的。
  3. 父阿、願你榮耀你的名.當時就有聲音從天上來說、我已經榮耀了我的名、還要再榮耀。
  4. 站在旁邊的眾人聽見、就說、打雷了.還有人說、有天使對他說話。
  5. 耶穌說、這聲音不是為我、是為你們來的。
 
 
  1. Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out.
  2. But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself."
  3. He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.
  4. The crowd spoke up, "We have heard from the Law that the Christ will remain forever, so how can you say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up'? Who is this 'Son of Man'?"
  5. Then Jesus told them, "You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. The man who walks in the dark does not know where he is going.
  1. 現在這世界受審判.這世界的王要被趕出去。
  2. 我若從地上被舉起來、就要吸引萬人來歸我。
  3. 耶穌這話原是指著自己將要怎樣死說的。
  4. 眾人回答說、我們聽見律法上有話說基督是永存的.你怎麼說人子必須被舉起來呢.這人子是誰呢。
  5. 耶穌對他們說、光在你們中間、還有不多的時候、應當趁著有光行走、免得黑暗臨到你們.那在黑暗裡行走的、不知道往何處去。
 
 
  1. Put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light." When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them.
  2. Even after Jesus had done all these miraculous signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him.
  3. This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: "Lord, who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?"
  4. For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere:
  5. "He has blinded their eyes and deadened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn--and I would heal them."
  1. 你們應當趁著有光、信從這光、使你們成為光明之子。
  2. 耶穌說了這話、就離開他們、隱藏了。他雖然在他們面前行了許多神蹟、他們還是不信他。
  3. 這是要應驗先知以賽亞的話、說、『主阿、我們所傳的、有誰信呢.主的膀臂向誰顯露呢。』
  4. 他們所以不能信、因為以賽亞又說、
  5. 『主叫他們瞎了眼、硬了心、免得他們眼睛看見、心裡明白、回轉過來、我就醫治他們。』
 
 
  1. Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus' glory and spoke about him.
  2. Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue;
  3. for they loved praise from men more than praise from God.
  4. Then Jesus cried out, "When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me.
  5. When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me.
  1. 以賽亞因為看見他的榮耀、就指著他說這話。
  2. 雖然如此、官長中卻有好些信他的.只因法利賽人的緣故、就不承認、恐怕被趕出會堂。
  3. 這是因他們愛人的榮耀、過於愛 神的榮耀。
  4. 耶穌大聲說、信我的、不是信我、乃是信那差我來的。
  5. 人看見我、就是看見那差我來的。
 
 
  1. I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.
  2. "As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it.
  3. There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.
  4. For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it.
  5. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say."
  1. 我到世上來、乃是光、叫凡信我的不住在黑暗裡。
  2. 若有人聽見我的話不遵守、我不審判他.我來本不是要審判世界、乃是要拯救世界。
  3. 棄絕我不領受我話的人、有審判他的.就是我所講的道、在末日要審判他。
  4. 因為我沒有憑著自己講.惟有差我來的父、已經給我命令、叫我說甚麼、講甚麼。
  5. 我也知道他的命令就是永生.故此我所講的話、正是照著父對我所說的。
