Psalms 4 [NIV:NASB]

  1. Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer.
  2. How long, O men, will you turn my glory into shame ? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods ? Selah
  3. Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD will hear when I call to him.
  4. In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Selah
  5. Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD.
  1. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Be gracious to me and hear my prayer.
  2. O sons of men, how long will my honor become a reproach? How long will you love what is worthless and aim at deception? Selah.
  3. But know that the LORD has set apart the godly man for Himself; The LORD hears when I call to Him.
  4. Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
  5. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And trust in the LORD.

  1. Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?" Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.
  2. You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound.
  3. I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
  1. Many are saying, "Who will show us any good?" Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O LORD!
  2. You have put gladness in my heart, More than when their grain and new wine abound.
  3. In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety.
