Psalms 105 [NIV:KJV]

  1. Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.
  2. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.
  3. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
  4. Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.
  5. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,
  1. O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
  2. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
  3. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
  4. Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
  5. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

  1. O descendants of Abraham his servant, O sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.
  2. He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
  3. He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded, for a thousand generations,
  4. the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.
  5. He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant:
  1. O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
  2. He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
  3. He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
  4. Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
  5. And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

  1. "To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit."
  2. When they were but few in number, few indeed, and strangers in it,
  3. they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.
  4. He allowed no one to oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings:
  5. "Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm."
  1. Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
  2. When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
  3. When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
  4. He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
  5. Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

  1. He called down famine on the land and destroyed all their supplies of food;
  2. and he sent a man before them-- Joseph, sold as a slave.
  3. They bruised his feet with shackles, his neck was put in irons,
  4. till what he foretold came to pass, till the word of the LORD proved him true.
  5. The king sent and released him, the ruler of peoples set him free.
  1. Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
  2. He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
  3. Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
  4. Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
  5. The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

  1. He made him master of his household, ruler over all he possessed,
  2. to instruct his princes as he pleased and teach his elders wisdom.
  3. Then Israel entered Egypt; Jacob lived as an alien in the land of Ham.
  4. The LORD made his people very fruitful; he made them too numerous for their foes,
  5. whose hearts he turned to hate his people, to conspire against his servants.
  1. He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
  2. To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
  3. Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
  4. And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
  5. He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

  1. He sent Moses his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
  2. They performed his miraculous signs among them, his wonders in the land of Ham.
  3. He sent darkness and made the land dark-- for had they not rebelled against his words?
  4. He turned their waters into blood, causing their fish to die.
  5. Their land teemed with frogs, which went up into the bedrooms of their rulers.
  1. He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
  2. They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
  3. He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
  4. He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
  5. Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

  1. He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats throughout their country.
  2. He turned their rain into hail, with lightning throughout their land;
  3. he struck down their vines and fig trees and shattered the trees of their country.
  4. He spoke, and the locusts came, grasshoppers without number;
  5. they ate up every green thing in their land, ate up the produce of their soil.
  1. He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
  2. He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
  3. He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
  4. He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
  5. And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

  1. Then he struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their manhood.
  2. He brought out Israel, laden with silver and gold, and from among their tribes no one faltered.
  3. Egypt was glad when they left, because dread of Israel had fallen on them.
  4. He spread out a cloud as a covering, and a fire to give light at night.
  5. They asked, and he brought them quail and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
  1. He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
  2. He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
  3. Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
  4. He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
  5. The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

  1. He opened the rock, and water gushed out; like a river it flowed in the desert.
  2. For he remembered his holy promise given to his servant Abraham.
  3. He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy;
  4. he gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for-
  5. that they might keep his precepts and observe his laws. Praise the LORD.
  1. He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
  2. For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
  3. And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
  4. And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
  5. That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
