  1. And Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead, and strengthened himself against Israel.
  2. And he placed forces in all the fenced cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.
  3. And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;
  4. But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.
  5. Therefore the LORD stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.
  1. 亞撒的兒子約沙法接續他作王、奮勇自強、防備以色列人．
  2. 安置軍兵在猶大一切堅固城裡、又安置防兵在猶大地、和他父亞撒所得以法蓮的城邑中。
  3. 耶和華與約沙法同在、因為他行他祖大衛初行的道、不尋求巴力、
  4. 只尋求他父親的　神遵行他的誡命、不效法以色列人的行為。
  5. 所以耶和華堅定他的國、猶大眾人給他進貢．約沙法大有尊榮貲財。
 
 
  1. And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.
  2. Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes, even to Benhail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah.
  3. And with them he sent Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tobadonijah, Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, priests.
  4. And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.
  5. And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.
  1. 他高興遵行耶和華的道．並且從猶大除掉一切邱壇、和木偶。
  2. 他作王第三年就差遣臣子便亥伊勒、俄巴底、撒迦利雅、拿坦業、米該亞、往猶大各城去教訓百姓。
  3. 同著他們有利未人、示瑪雅、尼探雅、西巴第雅、亞撒黑、示米拉末、約拿單、亞多尼雅、多比雅、駝巴多尼雅．又有祭司以利沙瑪、約蘭、同著他們。
  4. 他們帶著耶和華的律法書、走遍猶大各城教訓百姓。
  5. 耶和華使猶大四圍的列國、都甚恐懼、不敢與約沙法爭戰。
 
 
  1. Also some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and tribute silver; and the Arabians brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred he goats.
  2. And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles, and cities of store.
  3. And he had much business in the cities of Judah: and the men of war, mighty men of valour, were in Jerusalem.
  4. And these are the numbers of them according to the house of their fathers: Of Judah, the captains of thousands; Adnah the chief, and with him mighty men of valour three hundred thousand.
  5. And next to him was Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred and fourscore thousand.
  1. 有些非利士人與約沙法送禮物、納貢銀．亞拉伯人也送他公綿羊七千七百隻、公山羊七千七百隻。
  2. 約沙法日漸強大．在猶大建造營寨、和積貨城。
  3. 他在猶大城邑中有許多工程．又在耶路撒冷有戰士、就是大能的勇士。
  4. 他們的數目、按著宗族記在下面．猶大族的千夫長押拿為首、率領大能的勇士三十萬．
  5. 其次是千夫長約哈難、率領大能的勇士二十八萬．
 
 
  1. And next him was Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself unto the LORD; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valour.
  2. And of Benjamin; Eliada a mighty man of valour, and with him armed men with bow and shield two hundred thousand.
  3. And next him was Jehozabad, and with him an hundred and fourscore thousand ready prepared for the war.
  4. These waited on the king, beside those whom the king put in the fenced cities throughout all Judah.
  1. 其次是細基利的兒子亞瑪斯雅．他為耶和華犧牲自己、率領大能的勇士二十萬．
  2. 便雅憫族、是大能的勇士以利雅大、率領拿弓箭和盾牌的二十萬．
  3. 其次是約薩拔、率領豫備打仗的十八萬。
  4. 這都是伺候王的。還有王在猶大全地堅固城所安置的不在其內。
