  1. I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
  2. For what portion of God is there from above? and what inheritance of the Almighty from on high?
  3. Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?
  4. Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
  5. If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot hath hasted to deceit;
  1. 我與眼睛立約、怎能戀戀瞻望處女呢。
  2. 從至上的 神所得之分、從至高全能者所得之業、是甚麼呢。
  3. 豈不是禍患臨到不義的、災害臨到作孽的呢。
  4.  神豈不是察看我的道路、數點我的腳步呢。
  5. 我若與虛謊同行、腳若追隨詭詐.
 
 
  1. Let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know mine integrity.
  2. If my step hath turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after mine eyes, and if any blot hath cleaved to mine hands;
  3. Then let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my offspring be rooted out.
  4. If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour's door;
  5. Then let my wife grind unto another, and let others bow down upon her.
  1. 我若被公道的天平稱度、使 神可以知道我的純正.
  2. 我的腳步若偏離正路、我的心若隨著我的眼目、若有玷污粘在我手上.
  3. 就願我所種的、有別人喫.我田所產的、被拔出來。
  4. 我若受迷惑、向婦人起淫念、在鄰舍的門外蹲伏.
  5. 就願我的妻子給別人推磨、別人也與他同室。
 
 
  1. For this is an heinous crime; yea, it is an iniquity to be punished by the judges.
  2. For it is a fire that consumeth to destruction, and would root out all mine increase.
  3. If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me;
  4. What then shall I do when God riseth up? and when he visiteth, what shall I answer him?
  5. Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?
  1. 因為這是大罪、是審判官當罰的罪孽。
  2. 這本是火焚燒、直到燬滅、必拔除我所有的家產。
  3. 我的僕婢與我爭辯的時候、我若藐視不聽他們的情節.
  4.  神興起、我怎樣行呢.他察問、我怎樣回答呢。
  5. 造我在腹中的、不也是造他麼.將他與我摶在腹中的、豈不是一位麼。
 
 
  1. If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail;
  2. Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, and the fatherless hath not eaten thereof;
  3. (For from my youth he was brought up with me, as with a father, and I have guided her from my mother's womb;)
  4. If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or any poor without covering;
  5. If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the fleece of my sheep;
  1. 我若不容貧寒人得其所願、或叫寡婦眼中失望、
  2. 或獨自喫我一點食物、孤兒沒有與我同喫.
  3. (從幼年時孤兒與我同長、好像父子一樣.我從出母腹就扶助寡婦.〔扶助原文作引領〕)
  4. 我若見人因無衣死亡、或見窮乏人身無遮蓋.
  5. 我若不使他因我羊的毛得煖、為我祝福.
 
 
  1. If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate:
  2. Then let mine arm fall from my shoulder blade, and mine arm be broken from the bone.
  3. For destruction from God was a terror to me, and by reason of his highness I could not endure.
  4. If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine gold, Thou art my confidence;
  5. If I rejoice because my wealth was great, and because mine hand had gotten much;
  1. 我若在城門口見有幫助我的、舉手攻擊孤兒.
  2. 情願我的肩頭從缺盆骨脫落、我的膀臂從羊矢骨折斷。
  3. 因 神降的災禍、使我恐懼、因他的威嚴、我不能妄為。
  4. 我若以黃金為指望、對精金說、你是我的倚靠.
  5. 我若因財物豐裕、因我手多得資財而歡喜.
 
 
  1. If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;
  2. And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand:
  3. This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above.
  4. If I rejoice at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him:
  5. Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.
  1. 我若見太陽發光、明月行在空中、
  2. 心就暗暗被引誘、口便親手.
  3. 這也是審判官當罰的罪孽、又是我背棄在上的 神。
  4. 我若見恨我的遭報就歡喜、見他遭災便高興.
  5. (我沒有容口犯罪、咒詛他的生命)
 
 
  1. If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.
  2. The stranger did not lodge in the street: but I opened my doors to the traveller.
  3. If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:
  4. Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door?
  5. Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, and that mine adversary had written a book.
  1. 若我帳棚的人未嘗說、誰不以主人的食物喫飽呢.
  2. (從來我沒有容客旅在街上住宿、卻開門迎接行路的人.)
  3. 我若像亞當〔亞當或作別人〕遮掩我的過犯、將罪孽藏在懷中、
  4. 因懼怕大眾、又因宗族藐視我使我驚恐、以致閉口無言、杜門不出.
  5. 惟願有一位肯聽我、(看哪、在這裡有我所劃的押、願全能者回答我)
 
 
  1. Surely I would take it upon my shoulder, and bind it as a crown to me.
  2. I would declare unto him the number of my steps; as a prince would I go near unto him.
  3. If my land cry against me, or that the furrows likewise thereof complain;
  4. If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money, or have caused the owners thereof to lose their life:
  5. Let thistles grow instead of wheat, and cockle instead of barley. The words of Job are ended.
  1. 願那敵我者所寫的狀詞在我這裡我必帶在肩上、又綁在頭上為冠冕.
  2. 我必向他述說我腳步的數目、必如君王進到他面前。
  3. 我若奪取田地、這地向我喊冤、犁溝一同哭泣.
  4. 我若喫地的出產不給價值、或叫原主喪命.
  5. 願這地長蒺藜代替麥子、長惡草代替大麥.約伯的話說完了。
