Psalms 50 [NASB:NIV]   
 
  1. The Mighty One, God, the LORD, has spoken, And summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
  2. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone forth.
  3. May our God come and not keep silence; Fire devours before Him, And it is very tempestuous around Him.
  4. He summons the heavens above, And the earth, to judge His people:
  5. "Gather My godly ones to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice."
  1. The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets.
  2. From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.
  3. Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.
  4. He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people:
  5. "Gather to me my consecrated ones, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice."
 
 
  1. And the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is judge. Selah.
  2. "Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you; I am God, your God.
  3. "I do not reprove you for your sacrifices, And your burnt offerings are continually before Me.
  4. "I shall take no young bull out of your house Nor male goats out of your folds.
  5. "For every beast of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a thousand hills.
  1. And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for God himself is judge. Selah
  2. "Hear, O my people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you: I am God, your God.
  3. I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices or your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.
  4. I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens,
  5. for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.
 
 
  1. "I know every bird of the mountains, And everything that moves in the field is Mine.
  2. "If I were hungry I would not tell you, For the world is Mine, and all it contains.
  3. "Shall I eat the flesh of bulls Or drink the blood of male goats?
  4. "Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving And pay your vows to the Most High;
  5. Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me."
  1. I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine.
  2. If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.
  3. Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?
  4. Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High,
  5. and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me."
 
 
  1. But to the wicked God says, "What right have you to tell of My statutes And to take My covenant in your mouth?
  2. "For you hate discipline, And you cast My words behind you.
  3. "When you see a thief, you are pleased with him, And you associate with adulterers.
  4. "You let your mouth loose in evil And your tongue frames deceit.
  5. "You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother's son.
  1. But to the wicked, God says: "What right have you to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips?
  2. You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you.
  3. When you see a thief, you join with him; you throw in your lot with adulterers.
  4. You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit.
  5. You speak continually against your brother and slander your own mother's son.
 
 
  1. "These things you have done and I kept silence; You thought that I was just like you; I will reprove you and state the case in order before your eyes.
  2. "Now consider this, you who forget God, Or I will tear you in pieces, and there will be none to deliver.
  3. "He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God."
  1. These things you have done and I kept silent; you thought I was altogether like you. But I will rebuke you and accuse you to your face.
  2. "Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with none to rescue:
  3. He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God."
