Psalms 57 [NASB:NIV]

  1. Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, For my soul takes refuge in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge Until destruction passes by.
  2. I will cry to God Most High, To God who accomplishes all things for me.
  3. He will send from heaven and save me; He reproaches him who tramples upon me Selah God will send forth His lovingkindness and His truth.
  4. My soul is among lions; I must lie among those who breathe forth fire, Even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows And their tongue a sharp sword.
  5. Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth.
  1. Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.
  2. I cry out to God Most High, to God, who fulfills {his purpose} for me.
  3. He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me; Selah God sends his love and his faithfulness.
  4. I am in the midst of lions; I lie among ravenous beasts-- men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.
  5. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.

  1. They have prepared a net for my steps; My soul is bowed down; They dug a pit before me; They themselves have fallen into the midst of it. Selah.
  2. My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises!
  3. Awake, my glory! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
  4. I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations.
  5. For Your lovingkindness is great to the heavens And Your truth to the clouds.
  1. They spread a net for my feet-- I was bowed down in distress. They dug a pit in my path-- but they have fallen into it themselves. Selah
  2. My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.
  3. Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
  4. I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.
  5. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

  1. Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth.
  1. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.
