Psalms 107 [NASB:KJV]

  1. Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
  2. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary
  3. And gathered from the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.
  4. They wandered in the wilderness in a desert region; They did not find a way to an inhabited city.
  5. They were hungry and thirsty; Their soul fainted within them.
  1. O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
  2. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
  3. And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
  4. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
  5. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

  1. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He delivered them out of their distresses.
  2. He led them also by a straight way, To go to an inhabited city.
  3. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, And for His wonders to the sons of men!
  4. For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, And the hungry soul He has filled with what is good.
  5. There were those who dwelt in darkness and in the shadow of death, Prisoners in misery and chains,
  1. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
  2. And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
  3. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
  4. For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
  5. Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;

  1. Because they had rebelled against the words of God And spurned the counsel of the Most High.
  2. Therefore He humbled their heart with labor; They stumbled and there was none to help.
  3. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses.
  4. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death And broke their bands apart.
  5. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, And for His wonders to the sons of men!
  1. Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
  2. Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
  3. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
  4. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
  5. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

  1. For He has shattered gates of bronze And cut bars of iron asunder.
  2. Fools, because of their rebellious way, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.
  3. Their soul abhorred all kinds of food, And they drew near to the gates of death.
  4. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses.
  5. He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.
  1. For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
  2. Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
  3. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
  4. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
  5. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

  1. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, And for His wonders to the sons of men!
  2. Let them also offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, And tell of His works with joyful singing.
  3. Those who go down to the sea in ships, Who do business on great waters;
  4. They have seen the works of the LORD, And His wonders in the deep.
  5. For He spoke and raised up a stormy wind, Which lifted up the waves of the sea.
  1. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
  2. And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
  3. They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
  4. These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
  5. For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.

  1. They rose up to the heavens, they went down to the depths; Their soul melted away in their misery.
  2. They reeled and staggered like a drunken man, And were at their wits' end.
  3. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, And He brought them out of their distresses.
  4. He caused the storm to be still, So that the waves of the sea were hushed.
  5. Then they were glad because they were quiet, So He guided them to their desired haven.
  1. They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
  2. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.
  3. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
  4. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
  5. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

  1. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, And for His wonders to the sons of men!
  2. Let them extol Him also in the congregation of the people, And praise Him at the seat of the elders.
  3. He changes rivers into a wilderness And springs of water into a thirsty ground;
  4. A fruitful land into a salt waste, Because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it.
  5. He changes a wilderness into a pool of water And a dry land into springs of water;
  1. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
  2. Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
  3. He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
  4. A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
  5. He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.

  1. And there He makes the hungry to dwell, So that they may establish an inhabited city,
  2. And sow fields and plant vineyards, And gather a fruitful harvest.
  3. Also He blesses them and they multiply greatly, And He does not let their cattle decrease.
  4. When they are diminished and bowed down Through oppression, misery and sorrow,
  5. He pours contempt upon princes And makes them wander in a pathless waste.
  1. And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
  2. And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
  3. He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
  4. Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
  5. He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.

  1. But He sets the needy securely on high away from affliction, And makes his families like a flock.
  2. The upright see it and are glad; But all unrighteousness shuts its mouth.
  3. Who is wise? Let him give heed to these things, And consider the lovingkindnesses of the LORD.
  1. Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
  2. The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
  3. Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
