  1. 主耶和华指示我一件事。为王割菜（或作草）之后，菜又发生，刚发生的时候，主造蝗虫。
  2. 蝗虫吃尽那地的青物，我就说，主耶和华阿，求你赦免。因为雅各微弱，他怎能站立得住呢。
  3. 耶和华就后悔说，这灾可以免了。
  4. 主耶和华又指示我一件事。他命火来惩罚以色列，火就吞灭深渊，险些将地烧灭。
  5. 我就说，主耶和华阿，求你止息。因为雅各微弱。他怎能站立得住呢。
  1. This is what the Sovereign LORD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts after the king's share had been harvested and just as the second crop was coming up.
  2. When they had stripped the land clean, I cried out, "Sovereign LORD, forgive! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!"
  3. So the LORD relented. "This will not happen," the LORD said.
  4. This is what the Sovereign LORD showed me: The Sovereign LORD was calling for judgment by fire; it dried up the great deep and devoured the land.
  5. Then I cried out, "Sovereign LORD, I beg you, stop! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!"
 
 
  1. 耶和华就后悔说，这灾也可免了。
  2. 他又指示我一件事。有一道墙是按准绳建筑的，主手拿准绳站在其上。
  3. 耶和华对我说，阿摩司阿，你看见什么。我说，看见准绳。主说，我要吊起准绳在我民以色列中。我必不再宽恕他们。
  4. 以撒的邱坛必然凄凉，以色列的圣所必然荒废。我必兴起，用刀攻击耶罗波安的家。
  5. 伯特利的祭司亚玛谢打发人，到以色列王耶罗波安那里，说，阿摩司在以色列家中图谋背叛你。他所说的一切话，这国担当不起。
  1. So the LORD relented. "This will not happen either," the Sovereign LORD said.
  2. This is what he showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall that had been built true to plumb, with a plumb line in his hand.
  3. And the LORD asked me, "What do you see, Amos?" "A plumb line," I replied. Then the Lord said, "Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.
  4. "The high places of Isaac will be destroyed and the sanctuaries of Israel will be ruined; with my sword I will rise against the house of Jeroboam."
  5. Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent a message to Jeroboam king of Israel: "Amos is raising a conspiracy against you in the very heart of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words.
 
 
  1. 因为阿摩司如此说，耶罗波安必被刀杀，以色列民定被掳去离开本地。
  2. 亚玛谢又对阿摩司说，你这先见哪，要逃往犹大地去，在那里糊口，在那里说预言。
  3. 却不要在伯特利再说预言，因为这里有王的圣所，有王的宫殿。
  4. 阿摩司对亚玛谢说，我原不是先知，也不是先知的门徒（原文作儿子）。我是牧人，又是修理桑树的。
  5. 耶和华选召我，使我不跟从羊群，对我说，你去向我民以色列说预言。
  1. For this is what Amos is saying: " 'Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land.' "
  2. Then Amaziah said to Amos, "Get out, you seer! Go back to the land of Judah. Earn your bread there and do your prophesying there.
  3. Don't prophesy anymore at Bethel, because this is the king's sanctuary and the temple of the kingdom."
  4. Amos answered Amaziah, "I was neither a prophet nor a prophet's son, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees.
  5. But the LORD took me from tending the flock and said to me, 'Go, prophesy to my people Israel.'
 
 
  1. 亚玛谢阿，现在你要听耶和华的话。你说，不要向以色列说预言，也不要向以撒家滴下预言。
  2. 所以耶和华如此说，你的妻子必在城中作妓女，你的儿女必倒在刀下，你的地必有人用绳子量了分取，你自己必死在污秽之地，以色列民定被掳去离开本地。
  1. Now then, hear the word of the LORD. You say, " 'Do not prophesy against Israel, and stop preaching against the house of Isaac.'
  2. "Therefore this is what the LORD says: " 'Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be measured and divided up, and you yourself will die in a pagan country. And Israel will certainly go into exile, away from their native land.' "
