- 이집트에서 뺏어온 포도나무, 이민족들을 쫓아내시고 그 자리에 심으신 후
- 그 앞에 땅을 가꾸시니 뿌리박고 널리 퍼졌사옵니다.
- 산들이 그 그늘에 덮이고 울창한 송백숲도 그 덩굴에 가려 있으며
- 그 가지는 바다에까지 뻗었고 햇순은 강가에까지 미쳤사옵니다.
- 어찌하여 그 울타리를 부수시어 지나는 사람마다 그 열매를 따먹게 하시옵니까?

- You brought a vine out of Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it.
- You cleared the ground for it, and it took root and filled the land.
- The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches.
- It sent out its boughs to the Sea, its shoots as far as the River.
- Why have you broken down its walls so that all who pass by pick its grapes?

- 멧돼지들이 나와서 휩쓸게 하시며 들짐승들이 먹어 치우게 하시옵니까?
- 만군의 야훼여, 다시 한번 돌이키시어 하늘에서 굽어보시고 이 포도나무를
- 지켜주소서. 손수 심으신 이 줄기, 몸소 굳건히 세우신 이 햇가지를 붙드소서.
- 이 포도나무에 불지르고 베어버린 자들이 당신의 노하신 얼굴 앞에서 멸망하게 하소서.
- 당신 오른편에 계시는 그분, 몸소 굳건히 세워주신 그분을 붙드소서.

- Boars from the forest ravage it and the creatures of the field feed on it.
- Return to us, O God Almighty! Look down from heaven and see! Watch over this vine,
- the root your right hand has planted, the son you have raised up for yourself.
- Your vine is cut down, it is burned with fire; at your rebuke your people perish.
- Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand, the son of man you have raised up for yourself.

- 다시는 당신을 떠나지 않으리이다. 우리를 살려주소서. 당신의 이름을 불러 예배하리이다.
- 만군의 하느님, 야훼여 우리를 다시 일으키소서. 당신의 밝은 얼굴 보여주시면 우리가 살아나리이다.

- Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name.
- Restore us, O LORD God Almighty; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.
