- 임금이 내리는 말은 하느님의 판결이니, 그 입으로 그릇된 언도를 내릴 수 없다.
- 저울과 천평은 야훼의 손 안에 있고 주머니 속의 저울추도 다 그가 만드신 것이다.
- 임금은 모름지기 나쁜 일을 미워해야 한다. 정의를 세워야 왕위가 든든하다.
- 임금은 옳은 말 하는 사람을 좋아하고 곧은 말 하는 사람을 사랑해야 한다.
- 임금의 노여움이 사형 선고와 같아도 지혜로운 사람은 그 노여움을 가라앉힌다.
