- 안식일이 지나고 그 이튿날 동틀 무렵에 막달라 여자 마리아와 다른 마리아가 무덤을 보러갔다.
- 그런데 갑자기 큰 지진이 일어나면서 하늘에서 주의 천사가 내려와 그 돌을 굴려내고 그 위에 앉았다.
- 그 천사의 모습은 번개처럼 빛났고 옷은 눈같이 희었다.
- 이 광경을 본 경비병들은 겁에 질려 떨다가 까무러쳤다.
- 그 때 천사가 여자들에게 이렇게 말하였다. "무서워하지 마라. 너희는 십자가에 달리셨던 예수를 찾고 있으나

- In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
- And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
- His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
- And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
- And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

- 그분은 여기 계시지 않다. 전에 말씀하신 대로 다시 살아나셨다. 그분이 누우셨던 곳을 와서 보아라.
- 그리고 빨리 제자들에게 가서 '예수께서는 죽었다가 다시 살아나셨고 당신들보다 먼저 갈릴래아로 가실 터이니 거기에서 그분을 뵙게 될 것이오.' 하고 알려라. 나는 이 말을 전하러 왔다."
- 여자들은 무서우면서도 기쁨에 넘쳐서 제자들에게 이 소식을 전하려고 무덤을 떠나 급히 달려갔다.
- 그런데 뜻밖에도 예수께서 그 여자들을 향하여 걸어오셔서 "평안하냐?" 하고 말씀하셨다. 여자들은 가까이 가서 그의 두 발을 붙잡고 엎드려 절하였다.
- 그러자 예수께서는 그 여자들에게 "두려워하지 마라. 가서 내 형제들에게 갈릴래아로 가라고 전하여라. 그들은 거기서 나를 만나게 될 것이다." 하고 말씀하셨다.

- He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
- And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
- And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
- And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
- Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

- 여자들이 떠나간 뒤에 경비병 중 몇 사람이 성안으로 들어가 그 동안에 일어난 일들을 대사제들에게 낱낱이 보고하였다.
- 대사제들은 원로들과 만나 의논한 끝에 병사들에게 많은 돈을 집어주며
- "너희가 잠든 사이에 예수의 제자들이 밤중에 와서 시체를 훔쳐 갔다고 말하여라.
- 이 소문이 총독의 귀에 들어가게 되더라도 우리가 잘 말해서 너희에게는 아무런 해가 없도록 하여주겠다." 하고 말하였다.
- 경비병들은 돈을 받고 시키는 대로 하였다. 이 이야기는 오늘날까지 유다인들 사이에 널리 퍼져 있다.

- Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
- And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
- Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
- And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
- So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

- 열한 제자는 예수께서 일러주신 대로 갈릴래아에 있는 산으로 갔다.
- 그들은 거기에서 예수를 뵙고 엎드려 절하였다. 그러나 의심하는 사람들도 있었다.
- 예수께서는 그들에게 가까이 오셔서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "나는 하늘과 땅의 모든 권한을 받았다.
- 그러므로 너희는 가서 이 세상 모든 사람들을 내 제자로 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 그들에게 세례를 베풀고
- 내가 너희에게 명한 모든 것을 지키도록 가르쳐라. 내가 세상 끝날까지 항상 너희와 함께 있겠다."

- Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
- And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
- And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
- Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
- Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
