이사야 64:1-66:24

 이사야는 이스라엘이 바벨론에서 해방되도록 하나님께 간구하였다. 이에 하나님께서는 이스라엘의 죄로 인한 심판의 필연성을 선포하셨다. 그리고 신앙을 지킨 남은 자들의 구원과 이들을 중심으로 한 예루살렘의 평화와 번영을 약속하셨다. 또한 구원이 이방인에게 확대될 것과 그리스도의 재림, 죄인의 최후 심판을 예고하셨다.
  
  도움을 구하는 기도(64:1-64:12)    
 
  1. 나뭇가지가 불에 활활 타듯, 물이 펄펄 끓듯, 당신의 원수들은 당신의 이름을 알게 되고 민족들은 당신 앞에서 떨 것입니다.
  2. 당신께서 하신 놀라운 일들은 우리가 생각지도 못했던 일들입니다.
  3. 일찍이 아무도 들어보지 못한 일, 일찍이 아무도 보지 못한 일, 당신밖에 그 어느 신이 자기를 바라보는 자에게 이런 일들을 하였습니까?
  4. 정의를 실천하고 당신의 길을 잊지 않는 사람이 당신 눈에 띄었으면 얼마나 좋았겠습니까? 당신께서 이렇듯이 화를 내신 것은 우리가 잘못을 저지르고 처음부터 당신께 반역하였기 때문입니다.
  5. 우리는 모두 부정한 사람처럼 되었습니다. 기껏 잘했다는 것도 개짐처럼 더럽습니다. 우리는 모두 나뭇잎처럼 시들었고 우리의 죄가 바람이 되어 우리를 휩쓸어갔습니다.
  1. Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,
  2. As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!
  3. When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.
  4. For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
  5. Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.
  1. 당신의 이름을 불러 예배하는 자도 없고 당신께 의지하려고 마음을 쓰는 자도 없습니다. 당신께서 우리를 외면하시므로 우리는 각자 자기의 죄에 깔려 스러져가고 있습니다.
  2. 그래도 야훼여, 당신께서는 우리의 아버지이십니다. 우리는 진흙, 당신은 우리를 빚으신 이, 우리는 모두 당신의 작품입니다.
  3. 야훼여, 너무 노여워 마십시오. 우리 죄를 영원히 기억하지는 마십시오. 굽어살펴 주십시오. 우리는 모두 당신의 백성입니다.
  4. 당신의 거룩한 성읍들은 폐허가 되었습니다. 시온은 무인지경이 되었고 예루살렘은 쑥밭이 되었습니다.
  5. 우리 선조들이 모여 당신을 찬양하던 곳, 그 웅대하던 우리의 성전이 불에 타버렸고 귀중하게 여기던 모든 것이 망그러졌습니다.
  1. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
  2. And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.
  3. But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
  4. Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.
  5. Thy holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.
  1. 야훼여, 이렇게 되었는데도 당신께서는 무심하십니까? 우리가 이렇듯이 말못하게 고생하는데도 보고만 계시렵니까?
  1. Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste.
  2. Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?
 
  심판과 구원(65:1-65:16)    
 
  1. "나에게 빌지도 않던 자의 청까지도 나는 들어주었고, 나를 찾지도 않던 자 또한 만나주었다. 나의 이름을 부르지도 않던 민족에게 '나 여기 있다, 나 여기 있다.' 하고 말해 주었다.
  2. 날마다 나는 배신하는 백성을 두 팔 벌려 기다렸다. 좋지 않은 길을 제멋대로 걷는 그들,
  3. 언제나 맞대놓고 나의 화를 돋우는 백성들, 동산에서 이방신에게 제사하고 벽돌 제단 위에 분향하는 것들,
  4. 굴무덤 속에 들어가 살며 으슥한 곳에서 밤을 지내는 것들, 돼지고기를 먹고 부정한 음식을 그릇에 담는 것들,
  5. '물러서 있어라, 부정탈라, 가까이 오지 마라.' 하며 거만하게 떠드는 것들, 이런 것들은 날마다 나의 콧구멍에서 솟는 연기, 활활 타오르는 불길이다.
  1. I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
  2. I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
  3. A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
  4. Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
  5. Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.
  1. 모든 행실이 저렇게 기록되어 나의 눈앞에 있는데 나 어찌 벌하지 않고 가만히 있으랴?
  2. 산들 위에서 분향하고 언덕들 위에서 나를 모욕하는 그들의 죄를 조상들의 죄와 겸하여 벌하지 않을 수 없다. 야훼의 말이다. 내가 그들의 소행대로 톡톡히 벌하리라."
  3. 야훼께서 말씀하신다. "즙이 배어 나올 듯 싱싱한 포도송이를 보면 '복이 담뿍 들었다. 터뜨리지 마라.' 하지 않느냐? 나도 나의 종들을 그렇게 아껴 망그러뜨리지 아니하고 그대로 위하리라.
  4. 내가 야곱에게서 후손을 일으키고 유다에게서 자손을 일으켜 나의 산들을 차지하게 하리라. 그리하여 내가 뽑은 자들이 그 땅을 차지하고 나의 종들이 거기에서 살게 하리라.
  5. 사론 평야는 양들이 풀을 뜯는 목장이 되고 아골 골짜기는 소들의 휴식처가 되리라. 나를 찾는 나의 백성에게 이렇게 해주리라.
  1. Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,
  2. Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
  3. Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
  4. And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
  5. And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.
  1. 그러나 너희는 야훼를 저버렸고 나의 거룩한 산은 알은체도 않으면서 행운의 신에게는 제사 상을 차려 올렸고 운명의 여신에게는 제주를 부어 바쳤다.
  2. 내가 너희를 꿇어 엎드리게 하고 모두 칼에 맞아 죽게 하리라. 내가 불렀으나 너희는 대답을 아니하였고 내가 말하였으나 너희는 듣지 아니하였다. 너희는 내 눈에 거슬리는 일을 하였고 내가 싫어하는 것을 오히려 골라 하였다!"
  3. 그런즉, 주 야훼께서 말씀하신다. "나의 종들은 먹겠으나 너희는 굶주리리라. 나의 종들은 마시겠으나 너희는 목이 타리라. 나의 종들은 기뻐하겠으나 너희는 창피를 당하리라.
  4. 나의 종들은 가슴이 벅차 환성을 올리겠으나 너희는 가슴이 쓰려 아우성치고 마음이 찢겨 울부짖으리라.
  5. 너희가 남긴 이름은 내가 뽑은 자들이 '주 야훼께 천벌을 받아 죽어라.' 하고 저주하면서 부를 그 이름이다. 그러나 나의 종들은 새 이름을 받으리라.
  1. But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
  2. Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
  3. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
  4. Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
  5. And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:
  1. 그리하여 지난날 암담하던 일은 기억에서 사라지고 내 눈앞에서 스러지리니 땅에서 복을 비는 사람은 미쁘신 하느님을 부르며 복을 빌겠고 땅에서 맹세하는 사람은 미쁘신 하느님을 부르며 맹세하리라.
  1. That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
 
  심판과 소망(65:17-66:24)    
 
  1. 보아라, 나 이제 새 하늘과 새 땅을 창조한다. 지난 일은 기억에서 사라져 생각나지도 아니하리라.
  2. 내가 창조하는 것을 영원히 기뻐하고 즐거워하여라. 나는 '나의 즐거움' 예루살렘을 새로 세우고 '나의 기쁨' 예루살렘 시민을 새로 나게 하리라.
  3. 예루살렘은 나의 기쁨이요 그 시민은 나의 즐거움이라, 예루살렘 안에서 다시는 울음 소리가 나지 않겠고 부르짖는 소리도 들리지 아니하리라.
  4. 거기에는 며칠 살지 못하고 죽는 아기가 없을 것이며 명을 다하지 못하고 죽는 노인도 없으리라. 백 세에 죽으면 한창 나이에 죽었다 하고, 백 세를 채우지 못하고 죽으면 벌을 받은 자라 할 것이다.
  5. 사람들이 제 손으로 지은 집에 들어가 살겠고 제 손으로 가꾼 포도를 따 먹으리라.
  1. For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
  2. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
  3. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
  4. There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
  5. And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
  1. 제가 지은 집에 남이 들어와 사는 것을 보지 않겠고 제가 가꾼 과일을 남이 따 먹는 것도 보지 아니하리라. 나의 백성은 나무처럼 오래 살겠고 내가 뽑은 자들은 제 손으로 만든 것을 닳도록 쓰리라.
  2. 아무도 헛수고하지 아니하겠고 자식을 낳아 참혹한 일을 당하지도 아니하리라. 그들은 야훼께 복받은 종족, 후손을 거느리고 살리라.
  3. 그들이 부르기 전에 내가 대답하고 말을 마치기 전에 들어주리라.
  4. 늑대와 어린 양이 함께 풀을 뜯고 사자가 소처럼 여물을 먹으며 뱀이 흙을 먹고 살리라. 나의 거룩한 산 어디에서나 서로 해치고 죽이는 일이 없으리라." 야훼의 말씀이시다.
  1. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
  2. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
  3. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
  4. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
 
 
  1. 야훼께서 말씀하신다. "하늘은 나의 보좌요, 땅은 나의 발판이다. 너희가 나에게 무슨 집을 지어 바치겠다는 말이냐? 내가 머물러 쉴 곳을 어디에다 마련하겠다는 말이냐?
  2. 모두 내가 이 손으로 지은 것이 아니냐? 다 나의 것이 아니냐?" 야훼의 말씀이시다. "그러나 내가 굽어보는 사람은 억눌려 그 마음이 찢어지고 나의 말을 송구스럽게 받는 사람이다.
  3. 소를 죽여 바치는 자가 사람도 죽여 바치고 양을 희생제물로 바치는 자가 개의 목을 꺾어 바치는구나. 봉헌제물을 바치는 자가 돼지의 피도 바치고 분향제를 드리는 자가 우상을 찬양하는구나. 이렇게 제멋대로만 하려는 것들, 역겨운 우상에나 마음을 쏟는 것들,
  4. 나 또한 그들을 사정없이 괴롭히기로 하였다. 그들이 무서워하는 것을 끌어들이기로 하였다. 내가 불렀으나 아무도 대답하지 아니하였다. 내가 말하였으나 아무도 듣지 아니하였다. 나의 눈에 거슬리는 일을 하였고 오히려 내가 싫어하는 짓을 하였다."
  5. 야훼의 말씀을 들어라. 그의 말씀을 송구스럽게 받는 사람들아, "너희를 미워하는 너희 겨레는 나의 이름을 부른다고 하여 너희를 따돌리며, '어디, 야훼가 영광을 떨쳐 너희의 좋아하는 꼴이나 보자.' 하며 빈정대지만, 그러나 창피당할 것은 바로 그들이다."
  1. Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
  2. For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
  3. He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
  4. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
  5. Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
  1. 들어라, 저 도시의 아우성 소리, 성전의 저 울부짖는 소리. 그렇다, 야훼께서 당신의 원수들에게 보복하시는 소리다.
  2. 몸을 비틀 사이도 없이 해산하여 진통이 오기도 전에 사내아이를 낳는구나.
  3. 누가 이런 말을 일찍이 들어본 적이 있느냐? 이런 일을 본 적이 있느냐? 사람 살 땅이 어찌 하루 사이에 생겨나며 한 민족이 어찌 단번에 나겠느냐? 그런데 시온은 몸을 비틀기가 무섭게 자식들을 낳아놓았구나.
  4. "아기집을 터뜨리는 내가 어찌 아기가 태어나게 하지 못하겠느냐?" 야훼께서 말씀하신다. "아기를 내보내는 내가 어찌 나오지 못하게 막겠느냐?" 너희 하느님께서 말씀하신다.
  5. 예루살렘아, 즐거워하여라. 예루살렘을 사랑하는 자들아, 기뻐 뛰어라. 예루살렘이 망했다고 통곡하던 자들아, 이제 예루살렘과 함께 기뻐하고 기뻐하여라.
  1. A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.
  2. Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
  3. Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
  4. Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.
  5. Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
  1. 너희가 그 품에 안겨 귀염받으며 흡족하게 젖을 빨리라. 그 풍요한 젖을 빨며 흐뭇해 하리라.
  2. 야훼께서 말씀하신다. "나 이제 평화를 강물처럼 예루살렘에 끌어들이리라. 민족들의 평화를 개울처럼 쏟아져 들어오게 하리라. 젖먹이들은 그의 등에 업혀 다니고 무릎에서 귀염을 받으리라.
  3. 어미가 자식을 달래듯이 내가 너희를 위로하리니 너희가 예루살렘에서 위로를 받으리라.
  4. 이를 보고 너희는 마음이 흐뭇하며 뼈마디가 새로 돋은 풀잎처럼 싱싱하게 되리라." 당신의 종들에게는 야훼의 손길이 이렇게 나타나겠지만 원수들에게는 당신의 노여움이 폭발하리라.
  5. 보아라, 야훼께서 불을 타고 오신다. 폭풍같이 병거를 타고 오신다. 노기충천, 보복하러 오시어 불길을 내뿜으며 책망하신다.
  1. That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
  2. For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
  3. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
  4. And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
  5. For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
  1. 그렇다, 야훼께서는 몸소 온 세상을 불로, 모든 사람을 칼로 심판하신다. 이렇게 야훼께 벌받아 죽을 사람이 많으리라.
  2. "한 중간에 선 여사제의 뒤를 따라 동산에 들어가려고 목욕재계하는 자들, 돼지, 길짐승, 들쥐의 고기를 먹는 자들이 모두 함께 끝장나리라." 야훼의 말씀이시다. "그들이 하는 일과 그들이 꾸미는 것도 모두 끝장 나리라.
  3. 나는 가서 다른 말을 쓰는 모든 민족들을 모아오리라. 그들은 와서 나의 영광을 볼 것이다.
  4. 그들 가운데 난을 면할 자들에게 표를 주어 다르싯, 풋트, 룻, 모섹, 로스, 두발, 야반 등 여러 민족들, 나의 소문을 듣지도 못하고 나의 영광을 보지도 못한 먼 섬나라에 사는 사람들에게 보내어, 만방에 나의 영광을 전하게 하리라.
  5. 그들은 민족들 가운데서 너희 모든 겨레를 말과 수레와 포장마차와 노새와 낙타에 태워 나의 거룩한 산 예루살렘에 데려다가 선물로 야훼에게 바칠 것이다. 이스라엘 백성이 정한 그릇에 선물을 담아다가 야훼의 성전에 바치듯이 바칠 것이다. 야훼가 말한다.
  1. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
  2. They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
  3. For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
  4. And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
  5. And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
  1. 내가 그들 가운데서 더러는 사제로, 더러는 레위인으로 뽑아 세우리라. 야훼가 말한다.
  2. 그렇다, 내가 지을 새 하늘과 새 땅은 무너지지 아니하고 내 앞에 남아 있으리라." 야훼의 말씀이시다. "그처럼 너희의 자손과 이름도 이어가리라.
  3. 매달 초하루와 매주 안식일에 모든 사람이 내 앞에 나와서 나를 경배하리라. 야훼가 말한다.
  4. 사람들이 밖으로 나가 나를 거역하던 자들의 주검들을 보리라. 그들을 갉아먹는 구더기는 죽지 아니하고 그들을 사르는 불도 꺼지지 않으리니 모든 사람이 보고 역겨워하리라."
  1. And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.
  2. For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
  3. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
  4. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
