다니엘 10:1-12:13

 다니엘은 힛데겔 강가에서 금식 기도하던 중 인자의 환상을 보았다. 이 때 다니엘은 천사로부터 바사 제국의 멸망과 헬라의 등장, 헬라의 부흥과 멸망, 남방과 북방간의 전쟁, 새로운 북방 왕이 유대인을 박해하고 성전을 모독할 것에 대한 예언과 마지막 날에 있을 일들에 대한 예언을 받았다.
  
  힛데겔 강가의 묵시(10:1-12:13)    
 
  1. 페르시아 왕 고레스 제삼년에 일명 벨트사살이라고도 하는 다니엘은 계시를 받아 틀림없이 큰 싸움이 일어나리라는 것을 알게 되었다. 그는 환상을 보고 그 뜻을 분명하게 깨달았다.
  2. 그 때 나 다니엘은 삼 주간 동안 고행을 하고 있었다.
  3. 맛있는 음식을 먹지 않았고 고기나 포도주도 입에 대지 않았으며, 머리에는 기름을 바르지 않은 채 예정된 삼 주간을 채웠다.
  4. 때는 정월 이십사일, 내가 티그리스 큰 강 가에 서서
  5. 바라보니 한 사람이 모시옷을 입고 순금띠를 띠고 있었다.
  1. In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.
  2. In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.
  3. I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
  4. And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel;
  5. Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:
  1. 몸은 감람석 같았고 얼굴은 번갯불처럼 빛났으며 눈은 등불 같았고 팔다리는 놋쇠처럼 윤이 났으며 음성은 뭇 사람이 아우성치는 것 같았다.
  2. 같이 있던 사람들은 그 모습을 쳐다보지도 못하고 겁이 나서 달아나 숨었지만 나 다니엘은 그 모습을 바라보고 있었다.
  3. 혼자 남아서 그 장엄한 모습을 보다가 나는 사색이 되었다. 맥이 빠져 꼼짝할 수 없게 되었다.
  4. 그러는데 음성이 들려왔다. 그 음성을 듣고 나는 그만 정신을 잃고 땅에 쓰러졌다.
  5. 누군가 흔들어 깨우기에 손으로 땅을 짚으며 무릎을 꿇고 일어나 앉으니,
  1. His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
  2. And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
  3. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
  4. Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.
  5. And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
  1. 그가 말하는 것이었다. "다니엘아, 너 하느님께서 귀엽게 보아주시는 사람아, 내가 일러주는 말을 듣고 깨달아라. 나는 너에게 가보라시는 명령을 받고 이렇게 왔다. 일어서라." 내가 그 소리를 듣고 떨면서 일어서자,
  2. 그는 말했다. "다니엘아, 두려워 마라. 네가 알고 싶은 일이 있어서 네 하느님 앞에서 고행을 시작하던 그 첫날 하느님께서는 이미 네 기도를 들으시고 대답을 내리셨다. 그 대답을 가지고 내가 너를 찾아온 것이다.
  3. 이리로 오는 길에 나는 페르시아 호국신에게 길이 막혀 이십일 일이나 지체해 있었다. 마침 일곱 수호신 가운데 한 분인 미가엘이 도우러 왔기에 나는 그를 거기 남겨두어 페르시아 호국신과 겨루게 하고는
  4. 너의 겨레가 훗날에 당할 일을 일러주려고 왔다. 또 그 때 일을 환상으로 보여줄 것도 있다."
  5. 그의 말을 들으며 나는 아무 말도 못하고 땅에 엎드려 있었다.
  1. And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
  2. Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
  3. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
  4. Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.
  5. And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.
  1. 그런데 사람처럼 생긴 이가 내 입술에 손을 대자 입이 열려 나는 앞에 서 있는 그분에게 말을 건네었다. "장군님, 소인은 이 환상을 보고 너무 충격을 받아 맥이 모두 빠져버렸습니다.
  2. 소인은 기운이 진하고 숨이 막혀 장군님과 이야기할 힘조차 없습니다."
  3. 사람처럼 생긴 그분이 다시 나에게 손을 대며 힘을 내라고 하였다.
  4. "하느님의 사랑을 받는 사람아, 안심하여라. 두려워 말고 힘을 내어라. 힘을 내어라." 그 말을 듣고 나는 힘을 얻어 말했다. "장군님, 이제 힘을 얻었으니 말씀하십시오."
  5. 그러자 그가 말했다. "너는 내가 어찌하여 너를 찾아왔는지 아느냐? 나는 이제 곧 페르시아의 호국신과 싸워야 한다. 그리고 돌아서면 그리스 호국신이 달려들 것이다.
  1. And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.
  2. For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me.
  3. Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,
  4. And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.
  5. Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.
  1. 나는 반드시 이루어질 일을 기록한 책에 있는 것을 너에게 일러준다. 그들과 대항하는데 지금은 너희의 수호신 미가엘 외에 나를 도울 이가 없다.
  1. But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.
 
 
  1. 그만은 나에게 힘이 되어 나를 도와줄 것이다.
  2. 이제 나는 반드시 이루어질 일을 알려주겠다. 페르시아에는 앞으로 세 임금이 일어날 것이다. 넷째 임금은 어느 임금보다도 훨씬 부요해질 것이다. 이렇게 부요해지고 힘이 강해지면 그는 모든 사람을 동원하여 그리스를 칠 것이다.
  3. 그렇지만 그리스에는 용감한 왕이 일어나 큰 나라를 이루어 다스리며 만사를 마음대로 할 것이다.
  4. 그러다가 이 신흥 국가도 무너지고 천하는 네 나라로 갈라져 그의 후손 아닌 다른 사람들의 손에 넘어갈 것이다. 그의 통치가 끝난 다음, 나라는 전과 같지 않을 것이다.
  5. 그 가운데서 남쪽을 차지한 왕이 득세하리라. 그러나 그의 장군들 가운데 왕보다도 더 힘있는 자가 일어나 왕보다도 훨씬 큰 나라를 다스리게 될 것이다.
  1. Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.
  2. And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.
  3. And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.
  4. And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.
  5. And the king of the south shall be strong, and one of his princes; and he shall be strong above him, and have dominion; his dominion shall be a great dominion.
  1. 몇 해가 지나면 그들은 서로 우호 조약을 맺고 남쪽 나라 공주가 북쪽 나라 왕비로 들어와 서로 가까워질 것이다. 그러나 그 왕비는 세력을 유지하지 못하고 그의 친자식도 그 자리를 지키지 못할 것이다. 왕비는 왕과 왕자와 시종들과 함께 적의 손에 넘어가고 말 것이다.
  2. 그 무렵 그의 친정 조카가 왕위에 올라 북쪽 나라 진영으로 쳐들어와 왕도의 요새를 쳐서 승리를 거둘 것이다.
  3. 그리고 그들이 모시는 신들을, 우상과 금은으로 만든 귀중한 그릇들과 함께 이집트로 거두어간 다음 얼마 동안은 북국 왕을 괴롭히지 않고 내버려둘 것이다.
  4. 그 뒤에 북국 왕이 도리어 남쪽 나라를 공격하고 나서 제 나라로 돌아갈 것이다.
  5. 그러나 그 아들 대에 가서 다시 전쟁 준비를 서둘러 대군을 모아서 물밀듯 쳐 내려갈 것이다. 이렇게 다시 공격할 때는 왕도 요새까지 밀고 들어가겠지만
  1. And in the end of years they shall join themselves together; for the king's daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the power of the arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm: but she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he that begat her, and he that strengthened her in these times.
  2. But out of a branch of her roots shall one stand up in his estate, which shall come with an army, and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and shall deal against them, and shall prevail:
  3. And shall also carry captives into Egypt their gods, with their princes, and with their precious vessels of silver and of gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the north.
  4. So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.
  5. But his sons shall be stirred up, and shall assemble a multitude of great forces: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: then shall he return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress.
  1. 남국 왕은 화가 나서 출동하여 북국 왕과 싸워, 대군을 이끌고 온 북국 왕을 쳐부술 것이다.
  2. 남국 왕은 의기 양양하여 적군 수만 명을 죽이겠지만, 그의 힘은 그대로 지탱되지 못할 것이다.
  3. 북국 왕은 처음보다 더 많은 군인을 다시 동원해 두었다가 몇 해가 지나면 막강한 보병과 기병을 이끌고 쳐 내려갈 것이다.
  4. 그 동안 남국 왕에게 반기를 드는 세력이 많아질 것이다. 너의 겨레 가운데서도 극렬 분자들은 하늘이 보여주신 대로 되는 줄 알고 들고일어나겠지만 모두 실패할 것이다.
  5. 북국 왕은 쳐 내려가서 그 견고한 성을 포위하여 점령할 것이다. 남쪽은 힘이 모자라 버티지 못할 것이다. 정예부대도 힘이 꺾여 대항하지 못할 것이다.
  1. And the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: and he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand.
  2. And when he hath taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by it.
  3. For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.
  4. And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south: also the robbers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.
  5. So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to withstand.
  1. 북국 왕은 아무런 저항도 받지 않고 마구 횡포를 부릴 것이다. 그는 영광스러운 나라에 주둔하면서 아무것이나 닥치는 대로 수중에 넣을 것이다.
  2. 그는 남국 왕의 전 영토를 점령할 마음으로 화친하려는 것처럼 꾸며 젊은 여인을 남국 왕에게 보내어 남쪽 나라를 멸망시키려고 할 것이다. 그러나 뜻대로 되지 않을 것이다.
  3. 그래서 그는 해안 지대로 발길을 돌려 많은 나라를 점령할 것이다. 그러나 한 장군이 나타나 다시는 행패를 부리지 못하도록 그를 꺾어버릴 것이다.
  4. 그는 자기 나라 요새로 피하려고 발길을 돌리다가 실패한 채 영원히 망하고 말 것이다.
  5. 그의 후계자는 세금 징수원을 전국에 보내어 돈을 모아들이게 하겠지만 며칠 안 가서 쥐도 새도 모르게 죽고 말 것이다.
  1. But he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him: and he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed.
  2. He shall also set his face to enter with the strength of his whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; thus shall he do: and he shall give him the daughter of women, corrupting her: but she shall not stand on his side, neither be for him.
  3. After this shall he turn his face unto the isles, and shall take many: but a prince for his own behalf shall cause the reproach offered by him to cease; without his own reproach he shall cause it to turn upon him.
  4. Then he shall turn his face toward the fort of his own land: but he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.
  5. Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.
  1. 다음 후계자는 변변치 못한 사람이라 남한테 왕으로 인정받을 만한 위인이 못되지만, 모략으로 슬며시 나라를 차지할 것이다.
  2. 그는 맞서는 세력을 하나하나 부수어 물리치고 마침내 계약으로 세운 수령마저 죽일 것이다.
  3. 비록 따르는 자들은 많지 않지만 자기와 동맹을 맺은 사람을 하나하나 속여가며 세력을 잡고 올라설 것이다.
  4. 그리고 슬며시 비옥한 지방에 쳐들어가 조상도 선조들도 해보지 못한 일을 할 것이다. 그래서 노략품과 전리품 같은 재물을 자기의 추종자들에게 나누어주며 한때나마 요새들을 무너뜨릴 계획을 세울 것이다.
  5. 그는 남국 왕을 치려고 있는 힘과 용기를 다 내어 대군을 이끌고 내려갈 것이다. 그러면 남국 왕도 막강한 대군을 동원하여 싸울 것이지만 상대가 되지 않을 것이다. 게다가 모반을 꾸미는 사람마저 생길 것이다.
  1. And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
  2. And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.
  3. And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.
  4. He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.
  5. And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.
  1. 한 식탁에서 먹던 사람들이 그를 거꾸러뜨리려고 할 것이며, 그 군대는 몰리다가 많은 전사자를 낼 것이다.
  2. 두 왕은 한 식탁에 앉아 먹으면서도 속으로는 음흉한 계획을 저마다 꾸미겠으나 속셈대로 되지 않을 것이다. 아직도 정한 때가 되지 않았기 때문이다.
  3. 북국 왕은 많은 재물을 빼앗아가지고 본국으로 돌아가다가 거룩한 계약을 부술 마음이 일어나서 그대로 한 다음에야 본국으로 돌아갈 것이다.
  4. 때가 되면 북국 왕은 다시 남쪽을 치러 가겠지만 먼젓번만큼 성공하지는 못할 것이다.
  5. 키프로스 쪽에서 해군이 쳐들어오는 바람에 겁이 나 되돌아서서 분풀이로 거룩한 계약을 때려부술 것이다. 이미 거룩한 계약을 저버렸던 사람들은 다시 그의 환심을 사려고 할 것이다.
  1. Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain.
  2. And both of these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.
  3. Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land.
  4. At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.
  5. For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.
  1. 그는 군대를 보내어 성소와 요새를 짓밟고 정기 제사를 폐지시키고 파괴자의 우상을 세울 것이다.
  2. 계약을 배반하는 자들은 그의 감언이설에 넘어가겠지만 하느님께 충성을 바치는 사람들은 용감하게 나설 것이다.
  3. 민중의 지도자들은 민중을 깨우쳐주려다가 한때는 칼에 맞아 죽기도 하고 불에 타 죽거나 귀양가거나 재산을 몰수당하게도 될 것이다.
  4. 그들이 이렇게 거꾸러져도 도우려는 사람은 별로 없고 걸어 넘어뜨리려는 자들만이 득시글거릴 것이다.
  5. 정한 때가 되어 마지막이 올 때까지 지도자들이 이런 고난을 겪는 것을 보고 어떤 사람은 단련을 받아 깨끗해지고 빛날 것이다.
  1. And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
  2. And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
  3. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
  4. Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
  5. And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.
  1. 그는 모든 신을 눈 아래 두고 업신여기며 거만해져서 무슨 짓이든지 다 할 것이다. 지극히 높으신 하느님마저 업신여기고 큰소리를 치며 멋대로 굴다가 마침내는 하느님의 진노를 받아 망할 것이다. 하느님께서 정하신 일이니 기어이 이루어지리라.
  2. 왕은 저밖에는 없다고 잘난 체하며 모든 신을 모른다고 할 것이다. 조상이 받들던 신도, 첩들이 받드는 신도 모른다고 하며
  3. 바다의 수호신을 공경할 것이다. 조상이 받들지 않던 그 신을 금은과 보석과 값진 물건을 바쳐가며 받들 것이다.
  4. 그 외국신을 위하는 자들을 요새의 수비대로 배치할 것이다. 그리고 자기가 좋아하는 사람이면 높이 들어 백성을 다스리게 하고 조세를 받아들이도록 땅을 나누어줄 것이다.
  5. 마지막 때가 오면 남국 왕이 싸움을 걸어올 것이다. 그러면 북국 왕이 병거와 기병과 많은 배를 동원하여 폭풍처럼 몰아치며 큰물처럼 온 세상을 휩쓸 것이다.
  1. And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
  2. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
  3. But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
  4. Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.
  5. And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
  1. 그 바람에 영광스러운 나라에서 많은 사람이 쓰러질 것이다. 그러나 에돔 백성과 모압 백성과 암몬의 지도층은 난을 면할 것이다.
  2. 그는 나라마다 돌아가며 휩쓸 터인데 이집트도 그 난을 면하지 못할 것이다.
  3. 이집트에 숨겨둔 금은과 온갖 보화를 마음대로 손에 넣고 리비야와 에티오피아도 손아귀에 넣을 것이다.
  4. 그러다가 동쪽과 북쪽에서 두려운 풍문이 들어오면 화가 나서 돌아가며 사람들을 마구 잡아 죽일 것이다.
  5. 그는 영광스러운 거룩한 산과 지중해 사이에 왕이 머무를 천막을 쳤다가 거기에서 마지막 날을 맞이할 터인데 그를 도와줄 사람은 하나도 없을 것이다.
  1. He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
  2. He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
  3. But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
  4. But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
  5. And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
 
 
  1. 그 때에 미가엘이 네 겨레를 지켜주려고 나설 것이다. 나라가 생긴 이래 일찍이 없었던 어려운 때가 올 것이다. 그런 때라도 네 겨레 중에서 이 책에 기록된 사람만은 난을 면할 것이다.
  2. 티끌로 돌아갔던 대중이 잠에서 깨어나 영원히 사는 이가 있는가 하면 영원한 모욕과 수치를 받을 사람도 있으리라.
  3. 슬기로운 지도자들은 밝은 하늘처럼 빛날 것이다. 대중을 바로 이끈 지도자들은 별처럼 길이길이 빛날 것이다.
  4. 너 다니엘아, 이 말씀을 비밀에 붙여 마지막 그 때가 오기까지 이 책을 봉해 두어라. 많은 사람들이 읽고 깨쳐 잘 알게 되는 날이 올 것이다. 그러나 갈팡질팡하는 사람도 많을 것이다."
  5. 나 다니엘이 바라보니 다른 두 분이 서 있는데 한 분은 강 이쪽에, 또 한 분은 강 저쪽에 서 있었다.
  1. And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
  2. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
  3. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
  4. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
  5. Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
  1. 그 중 한 분이, 모시옷을 입고 강물 윗쪽에 서 있는 다른 분에게 물었다. "언제쯤 마지막 때가 와서 이런 놀라운 일이 일어날 것입니까?"
  2. 모시옷을 입고 강물 윗쪽에 서 있던 분이 두 손을 하늘로 쳐들고는, 영원히 살아 계시는 이를 두고 맹세하는 말이 들렸다. "한 때, 두 때 하고 반 때가 지나 거룩한 백성의 군대를 부순 자가 죽으면 모든 일이 끝날 것이다."
  3. 이 말을 듣고 나는 무슨 말인지 몰라서 그 일이 어떻게 끝날 것이냐고 물었다.
  4. 그가 대답했다. "다니엘아, 물러가라. 이 말씀은 마지막 때가 오기까지 봉한 채 비밀에 붙여질 것이다.
  5. 그 동안 많은 사람들이 단련을 받아 깨끗해져서 빛날 것이다. 악한 사람들은 끝내 눈이 열리지 않아 악한 짓을 계속하겠지만 슬기로운 지도자들은 눈이 열려 환하게 알 것이다.

  5. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

  1. And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
  2. Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
  3. But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
