호세아

  호세아는 아모스 사역 직후 북왕국 이스라엘 왕 여로보암 2세의 통치 말기부터 유다의 히스기야 왕 때까지 약 40년 간 북이스라엘에서 활동한 예언자이다. 그는 자신의 결혼 생활을 통해, 하나님의 품을 떠나 우상을 섬기는 패역한 이스라엘에게 하나님의 끊임없는 사랑을 보여 주고 회개를 촉구하였다.

  본서에서 호세아가 계속 음란죄를 저지르는 아내 고멜을 받아들인 것은 영적으로 간음한 이스라엘을 향한 하나님의 사랑을 보여 주는 것이다. 그러나 이스라엘은 계속 우상을 숭배하고 강퍅히 행함으로 스스로 멸망을 재촉한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 하나님께서는 돌이키는 자들에게 사랑을 쏟으시고 풍성한 복을 더하실 것을 약속하신다.

 

 

호세아 1:1-4:19

 호세아는 음란한 아내를 취해 음란한 자식들을 낳으라는 하나님의 말씀에 따라 고멜을 취해 세 자녀를 낳았다. 하나님께서는 고멜의 부정한 행동에 빗대어 범죄한 이스라엘의 죄악과 심판을 말씀하셨고, 부정한 아내 고멜을 다시 취한 호세아의 행동을 통해 심판 후에 있을 하나님의 회복을 예시하셨다.
  
  호세아의 결혼(1:1-1:11)    
 
  1. 브에리의 아들 호세아에게 내린 야훼의 말씀. 유다에서 우찌야와 요담과 아하즈와 히즈키야가 왕노릇 하던 때요, 이스라엘에서 요아스의 아들 여로보암이 왕노릇 하던 때였다.
  2. 야훼께서 호세아를 시켜 하신 말씀은 이렇게 시작되었다. "너는 바람기 있는 여자와 결혼하여 음란한 자식을 낳아라. 이 나라가 야훼를 저버리고 음란을 피우고 있구나." 호세아는 야훼께 이 말씀을 받고
  3. 디블라임의 딸 고멜을 아내로 맞았다. 고멜이 임신하여 아들을 낳자
  4. 야훼께서 호세아에게 이르셨다. "아기의 이름을 이즈르엘이라고 하여라. 나는 오래지 않아 예후가 이즈르엘에서 죄없는 사람들을 죽인 죗값을 예후 왕조에 갚아 이스라엘 나라를 멸망시키겠다.
  5. 그 날이 오면, 이즈르엘 평지에서 이스라엘의 활을 꺾어버리겠다."
  1. The word of the LORD that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
  2. The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.
  3. So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.
  4. And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.
  5. And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel, in the valley of Jezreel.
  1. 고멜이 또 임신하여 딸을 낳자 야훼께서 호세아에게 이렇게 이르셨다. "이 아기의 이름을 로루하마라고 하여라. 내가 다시는 이스라엘 가문을 불쌍히 여겨 용서해 주지 않을 것이다.
  2. 그러나 유다 가문은 불쌍히 여겨 구원해 주리라. 활과 칼을 쓰거나, 기마와 기병을 내세우는 일 없이 이 야훼가 손수 구원해 주리라. 나는 그들의 하느님이다."
  3. 고멜이 로루하마를 젖 떼고 또 임신하여 아들을 낳자
  4. 야훼께서 이렇게 이르셨다. "이 아기의 이름을 로암미라고 하여라. 너희는 이미 내 백성이 아니요, 나는 너희의 하느님이 아니다."
  1. And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away.
  2. But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.
  3. Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.
  4. Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.
  5. Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
  1. Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
 
  고멜의 부정(2:1-4:19)    
 
  1. 이스라엘 백성은 바다의 모래같이 불어나 셀 수도 없고 잴 수도 없이 되리라. 너희를 버린 자식이라 하였지만, 이제는 살아 계시는 하느님의 자녀라 하리라.
  2. 유다 백성과 이스라엘 백성이 어울려 한 영도자를 받들고 세상을 지배하리라. 이렇게 이즈르엘에 승리의 날이 동트거든,
  3. 너희 아우를 암미라 부르고 너희 누이를 루하마라 불러라.
  4. 너희 어미를 고발하여라. 너희 어미는 이미 내 아내가 아니다. 나는 너희 어미의 지아비가 아니다. 그 얼굴에서 색욕을 지워버리고 그 젖가슴에서 정부를 떼어버리라고 하여라.
  5. 그렇지 아니하면 세상에 태어나던 날처럼 알몸을 만들어 허허벌판에 내던져 메마른 땅을 헤매다가 목이 타 죽게 하리라.
  1. Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
  2. Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
  3. Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.
  4. And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms.
  5. For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.
  1. 자식들도 바람 피우니 조금도 불쌍히 여길 데가 없다.
  2. 그들을 배었던 몸은 부끄러운 줄도 모르고 놀아난 계집이라, "빵과 물을 주고, 양털과 모시를 주고, 기름과 술을 줄 그이에게 가야지." 한다마는,
  3. 내가 그 앞을 가시로 막고, 담을 둘러쳐 빠져 나가지 못하게 하리라.
  4. 정부들을 찾아다녀 보아야 만나지도 못하고 허탕만 치리라. 그제야 제 정신이 들어 "남편에게 돌아가야겠다. 그때의 내 신세가 지금보다 나았지." 하리라.
  5. 내가 곡식과 햇포도주와 기름을 주었으나 그것도 모르고, 재산을 불려주었더니, 금과 은으로 바알을 만들었다.
  1. Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.
  2. And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.
  3. For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.
  4. Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.
  5. And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.
  1. 그러므로 곡식이 익을 무렵에 내가 그것을 빼앗고 포도주가 맛이 들 무렵에 쏟아버리리라. 몸을 가렸던 양털과 모시옷을 벗겨버리리라.
  2. 나 이제 그의 부끄러운 데마저 벗겨 정부들 눈앞에 드러내리니, 아무도 내 손에서 그를 빼내지 못하리라.
  3. 순례절이나 초하루나 안식일 등 절기를 따라 지키는 갖가지 축제를 폐지하여 모든 즐거움을 앗아가리라.
  4. 애인들에게서 선물로 받았다고 자랑하던 포도원과 무화과 동산을 쑥밭으로 만들리니, 모두 잡초만 우거져 들짐승들이나 들끓게 되리라.
  5. 바알 축제일만 되면 내 생각은 하지도 않고 바알에게 향을 태워 올리며 귀고리, 목걸이로 몸을 단장하고 정부들을 따라 나서는 것들을 나 어찌 벌하지 않으랴. -야훼의 말씀이시다.
  1. I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.
  2. And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.
  3. And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD.
  4. Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.
  5. And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
  1. 그러나 이제 나는 그를 꾀어내어 빈들로 나가 사랑을 속삭여주리라.
  2. 거기에 포도원을 마련해 주고 아골 골짜기를 희망의 문으로 바꾸어주리라. 그제야 내 사랑이 그 마음에 메아리 치리라 이집트에서 나오던 때, 한창 피어나던 시절같이.
  3. 그 날이 오면, 너는 나를 주인이라 부르지 아니하고, 낭군이라고 부르리라. -야훼의 말씀이시다.
  4. 바알이란 말을 그의 입에서 씻어버려 다시는 그 이름을 부르지 못하게 하리라.
  5. 그 날 나는 이스라엘을 해치지 못하도록 들짐승과 공중의 새와 밭의 해충에게 다짐을 받고 활이나 칼 같은 무기를 이 땅에서 부수어, 이스라엘이 다리 뻗고 자게 하리라.
  1. And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.
  2. For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.
  3. And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.
  4. And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
  5. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.
  1. 너와 나는 약혼한 사이. 우리 사이는 영원히 변할 수 없다. 나의 약혼 선물은 정의와 공평, 한결같은 사랑과 뜨거운 애정이다.
  2. 진실도 나의 약혼 선물이다. 이것을 받고 나 야훼의 마음을 알아다오.
  3. 그 날이 오면, 나는 들어주리라. -야훼의 말씀이시다. 내가 하늘의 청을 들어주면 하늘은 땅의 청을 들어주고
  4. 땅은 곡식과 포도주와 기름의 청을 들어주고 이 모든 것은 이즈르엘의 청을 들어주리라.
  5. 나는 이스라엘을 내 것으로 이 땅에 심으리라. 로루하마를 귀여워해 주고 버린 자식을 "내 자식"이라 하리니, 그제야 입을 열어 "나의 하느님" 하고 부르리라.
  1. And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;
  2. And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.
  3. And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
 
 
  1. 야훼께서 나에게 이르셨다. "너는 정부와 놀아난 네 아내를 찾아가 다시 사랑해 주어라. 이스라엘 백성이 다른 신에게 마음이 팔려 건포도 과자 따위나 좋아하는데도 이 야훼가 여전히 사랑하는 것처럼, 사랑해 주어라."
  2. 나는 은 열다섯 세겔과 보리 한 호멜 반을 가지고 가서 그 여인을 산 뒤에
  3. 이렇게 일렀다. "당신은 내 아내니, 다른 남자와 어울려 불의한 관계를 맺지 말고 들어앉아 있으시오. 그렇게 오래 지낸 뒤에야 당신과 한 자리에 들리다."
  4. 이스라엘 백성도 그처럼 오랫동안 왕도 대신도 없고 희생제물도 석상도 없으며 에봇도 수호신도 없이 지낼 것이다.
  5. 그런 뒤에야 이스라엘 백성은 다시 저희 하느님인 야훼를 찾고, 저희 왕 다윗도 찾아오게 되리라. 먼 훗날 그 때가 되면, 이스라엘은 벅찬 마음으로 야훼께 돌아와 온갖 좋은 것을 다 받으리라.
  1. Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.
  2. So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:
  3. And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.
  4. For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
  5. Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
 
 
  1. 이스라엘 백성들아, 야훼의 말씀을 들어라. 야훼께서 이 땅 주민들을 걸어 논고를 펴신다.
  2. "이 땅에는 사랑하는 자도, 신실한 자도 없고 이 하느님을 알아주는 자 또한 없어 맹세하고도 지키지 않고 살인과 강도질은 꼬리를 물고 가는 데마다 간음과 강간이요, 유혈 참극이 그치지 않는다.
  3. 그래서 땅은 메마르고 주민은 모두 찌들어간다. 들짐승과 공중의 새도 함께 야위고 바다의 고기는 씨가 말라간다.
  4. 그렇다고 서로 탓하지는 마라. 서로 따지지도 마라. 사제야, 내 백성이 다 너희와 같은 꼴이 되었구나.
  5. 너희 사제라는 것들은 대낮에 거꾸러지고 밤에는 예언자도 함께 거꾸러지리라. 이 백성은 너희 때문에 망한다.
  1. Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
  2. By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
  3. Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
  4. Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest.
  5. Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother.
  1. 내 백성은 나를 알지 못해서 망한다. 너희 사제라는 것들이 나를 알려고 하지 않으니 나도 너희를 사제직에서 몰아낸다. 이 하느님의 가르침을 마음에 두지 않으니 나도 너희 자녀를 마음에 두지 않으리라.
  2. 이런 사제들이 많으면 많을수록 그만큼 나에게 짓는 죄가 많아진다. 그 자랑스런 직책을 부끄럽게도 밥벌이로 만드는 것들,
  3. 내 백성의 허물 덕분에 먹고 살며 내 백성이 짓는 죄에 침을 삼킨다.
  4. 백성은 사제를 닮게 마련, 그래서 나는 사제들을 그 행실을 따라 벌하고 그 행위를 따라 갚으리라.
  5. 나 야훼를 저버리고 음란을 조장하는 것들, 아무리 먹어도 배부르지 아니하고 아무리 음란을 피워도 자손이 불어나지 않으리라.
  1. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
  2. As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.
  3. They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity.
  4. And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings.
  5. For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD.
  1. 내 백성은 묵은 포도주 햇포도주에 마음을 빼앗겨
  2. 나무더러 물어보고 막대기더러 가르쳐달라고 하다가, 모두 음탕한 바람에 휩쓸려 제 하느님의 품을 벗어나 바람을 피우게 되었다.
  3. 산꼭대기에서도, 언덕 위에서도 제물을 잡아 살라 바친다. 상수리나무 버드나무 느티나무 그늘이 좋아서 그 아래서도 제물을 잡아 살라 바치다가 너희 딸은 바람을 피우고 너희 며느리는 외간남자와 놀아났다.
  4. 사내들이 성소의 창녀들을 찾고 제물을 드리며 으슥한 데를 찾는데, 너희 딸들이 바람을 피운다고 벌하겠느냐? 너희 며느리가 간음한다고 벌하겠느냐? 철없는 백성은 망하는 법이다.
  5. 너 이스라엘아, 속죄제를 바칠 생각도 마라. 너 유다야, 길갈로 갈 생각도 말고, 베다웬으로 올라갈 생각도 마라. '야훼께서 살아 계신다.'고 하며 맹세하지도 마라."
  1. Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart.
  2. My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.
  3. They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit adultery.
  4. I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that doth not understand shall fall.
  5. Though thou, Israel, play the harlot, yet let not Judah offend; and come not ye unto Gilgal, neither go ye up to Bethaven, nor swear, The LORD liveth.
  1. 이스라엘이 코가 센 암소 같은데, 야훼께서 어린 양을 풀밭에 놓아 먹이듯 하시겠느냐?
  2. 에브라임은 우상들과 단짝이다.
  3. 주정꾼들과 함께 뒹굴며 바람피우는 것들, 그 자랑스런 직책은 버리고 부끄러운 일이나 즐기는 것들,
  4. 바람 날개에 채여, 제단만 남기고 어이없이 사라지리라.
  1. For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large place.
  2. Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.
  3. Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom continually: her rulers with shame do love, Give ye.
  4. The wind hath bound her up in her wings, and they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices.
