호세아 5:1-8:14

 호세아는 이스라엘 죄악의 근본 원인이 하나님을 아는 지식이 없기 때문이라는 야웨의 말씀을 전하면서 우상 숭배와 행음, 형식적인 제사와 번제, 제사장들의 타락 등 이스라엘의 죄악을 낱낱이 지적하였다. 그는 이로 인해 하나님의 징계와 심판이 있을 것이지만 그 후에는 치료하시는 하나님의 구원의 은총이 있을 것임을 예언하였다.
  
  이스라엘의 죄악상(5:1-8:14)    
 
  1. 사제들아, 이 말을 들어라. 예언자들아, 똑똑히 들어라. 왕족들아, 귀를 기울여라. 법을 세워야 할 너희가 미스바에 놓은 덫이요, 다볼에 친 그물이요,
  2. 시띰에 판 깊은 함정이 되었다. 그래서 내가 너희를 한데 몰아 벌하리라.
  3. 내가 에브라임을 모를 줄 아느냐? 이스라엘은 내 눈앞에서 숨지 못한다. 에브라임은 지금 바람을 피우고 있다. 이스라엘은 몸을 더럽히고 있다.
  4. 이런 짓들을 하면서 어떻게 저희 하느님께로 돌아오겠느냐? 음탕한 바람이 들어 야훼는 안중에도 없구나.
  5. 이스라엘은 거드름을 피우다가 납작해지리라. 에브라임이 제 죄에 걸려 넘어질 때, 유다도 함께 넘어지리라.
  1. Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
  2. And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.
  3. I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.
  4. They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.
  5. And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them.
  1. 양떼 소떼를 몰고 야훼를 찾아나선다 해도 이미 떠난 그분을 만나지는 못하리라.
  2. 야훼를 배신하고 사생아를 낳은 것들, 적군이 쳐들어와, 그 있는 재산과 함께 멸망시키리라.
  3. 기브아에서 뿔나팔이나 불어보아라. 라마에서 은나팔이나 불어보아라. 베다웬에서 고함이나 질러보아라. 내가 베냐민을 혼내주리라.
  4. 형벌이 떨어지는 그 날, 에브라임은 쑥밭이 되리라. 내가 이스라엘 온 지파가 정녕코 당할 일을 알려준다.
  5. 유다의 장군들이 경계선을 범하니 내가 물벼락 내리듯 그 위에 분노를 퍼부으리라.
  1. They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.
  2. They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.
  3. Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Bethaven, after thee, O Benjamin.
  4. Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.
  5. The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
  1. 에브라임은 우상을 따르다가 원수에게 짓밟히겠고 심판을 받아 산산조각이 나리라.
  2. 내가 에브라임을 좀먹은 나무같이 만들고 유다 가문은 속이 썩은 뼈같이 만들리라.
  3. 에브라임은 죽을 병이 든 줄 알아 아시리아를 찾아가고, 유다는 제 몸에 입은 상처를 보고 대왕에게 특사를 보내나, 그는 너희 병을 고치지 못하고 너희 상처를 아물게 하지 못하리라.
  4. 나는 젊은 사자처럼 에브라임에게 달려들고 힘이 한창 뻗친 사자처럼 유다 가문에 달려들어 그들을 물어다가 갈기갈기 찢으리니 아무도 내 입에서 빼내지 못하리라.
  5. 그리고는 내가 하늘로 돌아가 이 백성이 죄를 고백하며 나를 찾기까지 기다리리라. 이 백성은 괴로움을 참다 못해 마침내 나를 애타게 찾으리라.
  1. Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.
  2. Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
  3. When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.
  4. For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.
  5. I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
 
 
  1. "어서 야훼께로 돌아가자! 그분은 우리를 잡아 찢으시지만 아물게 해주시고, 우리를 치시지만 싸매주신다.
  2. 이틀이 멀다 하고 다시 살려주시며 사흘이 멀다 하고 다시 일으켜주시리니, 우리 다 그분 앞에서 복되게 살리라.
  3. 그러니 그리운 야훼님 찾아나서자. 그의 정의가 환히 빛나 오리라. 어김없이 동터 오는 새벽처럼 그는 오시고 단비가 내리듯 봄비가 촉촉이 뿌리듯 그렇게 오시리라."
  4. 그러나 에브라임아, 너를 어떻게 하면 좋겠느냐. 유다야, 너를 어떻게 하면 좋겠느냐. 너희 사랑은 아침 안개 같구나. 덧없이 사라지는 이슬 같구나.
  5. 그래서 나는 예언자들을 시켜 너희를 찍어 쓰러뜨리고 내 입에서 나오는 말로 너희를 죽이리라.
  1. Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
  2. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
  3. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
  4. O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.
  5. Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.
  1. 내가 반기는 것은 제물이 아니라 사랑이다. 제물을 바치기 전에 이 하느님의 마음을 먼저 알아다오.
  2. 이 백성은 아담에서 이미 계약을 깨뜨렸다. 거기서 벌써 나를 배신하였다.
  3. 길르앗은 폭력배의 마을이라, 가는 데마다 핏자국뿐이로구나.
  4. 사제들이 강도떼처럼 세겜으로 가는 길목에 숨어서 노리다가 살인을 하다니, 차마 못할 짓이다.
  5. 베델에선 보이느니 추잡한 꼴뿐, 거기서 에브라임이 바람을 피우고 이스라엘이 몸을 더럽히고 있다.
  1. For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
  2. But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
  3. Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood.
  4. And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.
  5. I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.
  1. 유다야, 너도 심은 대로 거둘 것이다.
  1. Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.
 
 
  1. 내가 내 백성 이스라엘의 운명을 바꾸어주고 그 병을 고쳐주려 하나, 에브라임의 죄, 사마리아의 악행만 드러나는구나. 꾸미느니 거짓이요, 드나드느니 도둑이요, 거리에 떼지어 다니느니 강도들뿐이라.
  2. 그런 악행을 내가 어찌 잊으랴? 그런 줄도 모르고 악한들을 거느린 채 뻔뻔스레 내 앞에 나타나다니!
  3. 간사하게 왕의 호감이나 사고 가면을 써 대신들의 환심이나 사면서도
  4. 모두들 미운 생각이 끓어올라 달아오른 솥처럼 되어 기다리는구나. 떡반죽이 다 부풀기까지 불을 헤치지 않듯.
  5. 임금의 잔칫날이 되니 대신들은 포도주에 만취하여 흰소리나 치다가 곯아 떨어진다.
  1. When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.
  2. And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.
  3. They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.
  4. They are all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened.
  5. In the day of our king the princes have made him sick with bottles of wine; he stretched out his hand with scorners.
  1. 음모를 꾸미고 모여들어 화덕처럼 마음에 불을 지피고 밤새 타는 가슴을 잠재우다가 아침이 되면 불꽃을 퉁긴다.
  2. 모두들 솥처럼 달아올라 통치자를 하나하나 집어삼키니, 왕은 뒤이어 거꾸러지는구나. 그래도 나를 부르는 자 하나 없구나.
  3. 이 민족 저 민족에게 빌붙는 에브라임, 에브라임은 뒤집지 않고 구운 과자다.
  4. 외세가 제 힘을 먹어치우는데 그런 줄도 모르고 죽을 날이 얼마 남지 않았는데도 그 역시 모르는구나.
  5. 이스라엘은 거드름을 피우다가 납작해지리라. 이런 일을 모두 겪고도 이 야훼가 저희 하느님이건만 저들은 나를 찾아 돌아오지 않으리라.
  1. For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire.
  2. They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.
  3. Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned.
  4. Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.
  5. And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.
  1. 에브라임은 철이 없고, 비둘기처럼 어수룩하구나. 이집트로 가고 아시리아로 가서 살려달라고 애원하지만,
  2. 내가 어디든 따라가서 그물을 던져 공중의 새 잡듯 낚아채리라. 그토록 못된 짓만 하는데 나 어찌 벌하지 않으랴?
  3. 저주받아라! 나를 떠나 방황하는 것들, 죽어 없어져라! 나를 거스르기만 하는 것들, 아무리 건져주고 싶어도 너희는 나에게 발라 맞추는 말만 하는구나.
  4. 진심으로 나를 부르기는커녕, 기성을 지르며 자리에서 뒹굴기나 하는 것들, 곡식과 포도주를 달라고 하면서도 몸에 칼자국을 내며 나를 거스른다.
  5. 팔에 힘이 나도록 단련시켰더니, 도리어 나를 괴롭힐 음모나 꾸미고
  1. Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.
  2. When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard.
  3. Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
  4. And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me.
  5. Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me.
  1. 빗나간 화살처럼 나에게로 돌아올 생각도 하지 않는구나. 대신들은 제멋대로 혀를 놀리다가 칼에 맞아 죽기나 하고 이집트에서 조롱거리가 되리라.
  1. They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
 
 
  1. 야훼의 성전을 지키는 사람아, 너의 입에 나팔을 대어라. 이스라엘은 내 계약을 깨뜨리고 내가 준 법을 어겼다.
  2. 이스라엘은 저희 하느님을 안다고 나에게 외치면서도,
  3. 나에게서 받은 좋은 것을 뿌리쳤으니 적에게 쫓기는 신세가 되리라.
  4. 내가 세우지도 않은 것을 왕이라고 모시고 내가 알지도 못하는 것을 대신이라고 받들며 은과 금으로 우상을 만들어 제 발로 죽을 땅에 걸어 들어가는구나.
  5. 사마리아야, 너의 송아지를 버려라. 내 진노가 너의 주민들 위에 떨어지리라. 이스라엘 백성이 언제라야 순결해지겠느냐?
  1. Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.
  2. Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee.
  3. Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him.
  4. They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.
  5. Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?
  1. 그 송아지는 대장장이가 만든 신 따위도 못 되는 것, 사마리아의 송아지는 토막나고 말리라.
  2. 바람을 심어 회리바람을 거둘 것들, 곡식 줄기는 서 있어도 이삭은 여물지 아니하고, 여문다 해도 남이 거두어 먹으리라.
  3. 이스라엘은 뭇 민족들 속에 파묻혀 아무도 거들떠보지 않는 쓰레기가 되었다.
  4. 마치 외로이 떠도는 들나귀같이 아시리아로 가고 에브라임은 선물로 사랑을 사려는구나.
  5. 이 민족 저 민족에게 선물을 뿌리지만, 나 이제 흩어버리리니, 얼마 동안 왕과 대신을 세우지 못하리라.
  1. For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
  2. For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.
  3. Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.
  4. For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.
  5. Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.
  1. 에브라임은 제단을 많이도 세웠으나, 죄를 벗으려고 세운 그 제단들이 죄를 더해 주는 제단이 되었구나.
  2. 만 가지 법 조문을 써주면 무엇하랴, 남의 것인 양 거들떠보지도 않을 것을.
  3. 즐겨 제물을 잡아 바치고 그 고기를 먹지만, 이 야훼는 그것이 하나도 달갑지 않다. 나 이제 이 백성의 죄를 잊지 않고 벌하리니, 하릴없이 이집트로 돌아가리라.
  4. 이스라엘은 저희를 낸 자를 잊고 대궐만 지었다. 유다는 도시마다 튼튼한 성을 둘러쳤지만, 나는 그 성읍들을 불질러 대궐들을 살라버리리라.
  1. Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.
  2. I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.
  3. They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; but the LORD accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.
  4. For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
