예레미야 31:27-32:44

 예레미야의 예언대로 유다는 바벨론 군대에게 포위당했다. 하나님께서는 유다 지도자들에게 잡혀 감금된 예레미야에게 밭을 사라고 명하셨다. 이에 예레미야는 사촌 하나멜의 밭을 사기로 하고 돈을 지불하고 매매 증서를 작성하였다. 이것은 하나님께서 포로 귀환 후 모든 질서를 회복시킬 것을 상징적으로 보여 주는 것이었다.
  
  새 언약(31:27-31:40)    
 
  1. 앞으로 이런 날이 오리라. 내가 분명히 말해 둔다. 이스라엘 가문과 유다 가문을 사람이나 짐승 할 것 없이 씨를 뿌려 농사짓듯이 불어나게 하리라.
  2. 이전에는 자나깨나 이 백성을 뽑고 부수고 허물고 멸하고 해치기만 하였으나, 그만큼 이제는 눈을 똑바로 뜨고 세우며 심어주리라. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다.
  3. 그 날이 오면, '아비가 신 포도를 먹으면, 아들의 이가 시큼해진다.'라는 말을 하지 않게 되리라.
  4. 죽을 사람은 죄지은 그 사람이다. 이가 시큼해질 사람은 신 포도를 먹은 그 사람이다.
  5. 앞으로 내가 이스라엘과 유다의 가문과 새 계약을 맺을 날이 온다. 나 야훼가 분명히 일러둔다.
  1. "Behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of beast.
  2. "As I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to overthrow, to destroy and to bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant," declares the LORD.
  3. "In those days they will not say again, 'The fathers have eaten sour grapes, And the children's teeth are set on edge.'
  4. "But everyone will die for his own iniquity; each man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth will be set on edge.
  5. "Behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,
  1. 이 새 계약은 그 백성의 조상들의 손을 잡아 이집트에서 데려내오던 때에 맺은 것과는 같지 않다. 나는 그들을 내 것으로 삼았지만, 그들은 나와 맺은 계약을 깨뜨리고 말았다. 귀담아들어라.
  2. 그 날 내가 이스라엘 가문과 맺을 계약이란 그들의 가슴에 새겨줄 내 법을 말한다. 내가 분명히 말해 둔다. 그 마음에 내 법을 새겨주어, 나는 그들의 하느님이 되고 그들은 내 백성이 될 것이다.
  3. 내가 그들의 잘못을 다시는 기억하지 아니하고 그 죄를 용서하여 주리니, 다시는 이웃이나 동기끼리 서로 깨우쳐주며 야훼의 심정을 알아드리자고 하지 않아도 될 것이며, 높은 사람이나 낮은 사람이나 내 마음을 모르는 사람이 없으리라. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다."
  4. 해를 두어 낮을 환하게 하시는 이, 달과 별을 두어 밤을 비추도록 정하신 이, 파도 소리 요란하게 바다를 뒤흔드시는 이, 그 이름 만군의 야훼께서 말씀하신다.
  5. "이것은 내가 만든 법칙, 이것이 내 앞에서 사라진다면, 이스라엘 후손도 한 나라를 이루지 못하고 사라지리라. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다.
  1. not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them," declares the LORD.
  2. "But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days," declares the LORD, "I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
  3. "They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," declares the LORD, "for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."
  4. Thus says the LORD, Who gives the sun for light by day And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; The LORD of hosts is His name:
  5. "If this fixed order departs From before Me," declares the LORD, "Then the offspring of Israel also will cease From being a nation before Me forever."
  1. 나 야훼가 말한다. 누가 저 높은 하늘을 잴 수 있다면, 깊은 땅속 주춧돌들을 파헤칠 수 있다면, 이스라엘이 한 모든 일을 생각하여 나도 이스라엘 후손을 다 내버리리라.
  2. 내가 분명히 말한다. 앞으로 이 성을 다시 지어 나에게 바칠 날이 오리라. 하나넬 탑에서 모퉁이문까지 가고,
  3. 거기에서 가렙 언덕까지 똑바로 나갔다가 고아 쪽으로 돌아가며 측량하여 이 성을 재건하리라.
  4. 시체와 잿더미가 그득히 쌓인 계곡에서 시작하여 동쪽 마굿간문 모퉁이까지 키드론 골짜기 옆에 붙은 평지는 모두 나의 것으로 성지가 되리라. 그리하여 다시는 이 성이 송두리째 부서지거나 허물어지는 일이 없으리라."
  1. Thus says the LORD, "If the heavens above can be measured And the foundations of the earth searched out below, Then I will also cast off all the offspring of Israel For all that they have done," declares the LORD.
  2. "Behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when the city will be rebuilt for the LORD from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.
  3. "The measuring line will go out farther straight ahead to the hill Gareb; then it will turn to Goah.
  4. "And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to the LORD; it will not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever."
 
  밭을 산 예레미야(32:1-32:44)    
 
  1. 유다 왕 시드키야 십년에 야훼께서 예레미야에게 말씀하셨다. 그 해는 느부갓네살 십팔년으로서
  2. 그가 마침 예루살렘을 포위하고 있을 때였다. 예언자 예레미야는 그 때 유다 궁궐 근위대의 울 안에 갇혀 있었다.
  3. 유다 왕 시드키야가 이렇게 책망하면서 예레미야를 가두었던 것이다. "너는 어찌하여 야훼의 말씀이라고 하면서 이 도읍이 바빌론 왕의 손에 넘어가 점령당하리라고 하였느냐?
  4. 어찌하여 이 시드키야도 바빌론 사람들 손에서 벗어나지 못하고, 틀림없이 바빌론 왕 앞에 끌려가서 친히 항복하게 되리라고 하였느냐?
  5. 어찌하여 야훼의 말씀이라고 하면서 이 시드키야가 바빌론으로 끌려가 야훼께서 찾아오실 때까지 거기에 머물러 있으리라고 하였느냐? 어찌하여 바빌론 군과 싸워도 소용이 없다고 하였느냐?"
  1. The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.
  2. Now at that time the army of the king of Babylon was besieging Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the house of the king of Judah,
  3. because Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, "Why do you prophesy, saying, 'Thus says the LORD, "Behold, I am about to give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will take it;
  4. and Zedekiah king of Judah will not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but he will surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will speak with him face to face and see him eye to eye;
  5. and he will take Zedekiah to Babylon, and he will be there until I visit him," declares the LORD "If you fight against the Chaldeans, you will not succeed"'?"
  1. 야훼의 말씀이 갇혀 있는 나에게 내렸다.
  2. "살룸의 아들 하나멜이 너의 사촌이 아니냐? 그가 와서 너에게 아나돗에 있는 밭을 살 권리가 있다 하고 그것을 사라고 할 것이다."
  3. 그러는데 야훼의 말씀대로, 내 사촌 하나멜이 근위대 울 안으로 나를 찾아와 베냐민 지방 아나돗에 있는 밭을 살 권리가 나에게 있다면서 그것을 사라는 것이었다. 나는 그의 말을 듣고, 그것이 야훼의 뜻임을 알았다.
  4. 그래서 아나돗에 사는 그 사촌의 밭을 은 십칠 세겔을 주고 사기로 하고
  5. 문서를 만들어 봉한 다음 도장을 찍고 증인 앞에서 은을 저울에 달아주었다.
  1. And Jeremiah said, "The word of the LORD came to me, saying,
  2. 'Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle is coming to you, saying, "Buy for yourself my field which is at Anathoth, for you have the right of redemption to buy it."'
  3. "Then Hanamel my uncle's son came to me in the court of the guard according to the word of the LORD and said to me, 'Buy my field, please, that is at Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for you have the right of possession and the redemption is yours; buy it for yourself ' Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.
  4. "I bought the field which was at Anathoth from Hanamel my uncle's son, and I weighed out the silver for him, seventeen shekels of silver.
  5. "I signed and sealed the deed, and called in witnesses, and weighed out the silver on the scales.
  1. 나는 법규에 따라 봉인된 매매계약서와 봉인하지 않은 부본을 받아,
  2. 내 사촌 하나멜과, 매매계약서에 서명한 증인과 근위대 울 안에 사는 모든 유다 사람들이 보는 앞에서 그 증서를 마아세야의 손자이자 네리야의 아들인 바룩에게 넘겼다.
  3. 그리고 그들이 보는 앞에서 바룩에게 이렇게 명하였다.
  4. "이스라엘의 하느님이신 만군의 야훼께서 하신 말씀을 따라, 너는 이 봉인된 매매계약서와 봉인하지 않은 부본을 받아서 오랫동안 옹기그릇에 넣어두어라.
  5. 이 곳에 있는 집과 밭과 포도원을 다시 팔고 사게 되리라고 이스라엘의 하느님 만군의 야훼께서 말씀하셨다."
  1. "Then I took the deeds of purchase, both the sealed copy containing the terms and conditions and the open copy;
  2. and I gave the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the sight of Hanamel my uncle's son and in the sight of the witnesses who signed the deed of purchase, before all the Jews who were sitting in the court of the guard.
  3. "And I commanded Baruch in their presence, saying,
  4. 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, "Take these deeds, this sealed deed of purchase and this open deed, and put them in an earthenware jar, that they may last a long time."
  5. 'For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, "Houses and fields and vineyards will again be bought in this land."'
  1. 나는 네리야의 아들 바룩에게 그 매매계약서를 맡긴 다음, 야훼께 기도를 올렸다.
  2. "야훼 주님, 주께서는 힘있게 팔을 내뻗으시어 하늘과 땅을 만드셨습니다. 주께서는 못하실 일이 없으십니다.
  3. 사랑은 수천대까지 갚아주시고, 조상의 죄는 후손들에게 안겨주십니다. 세상이 만군의 야훼라고 부르는 위대하시고 강하신 하느님,
  4. 계획하시는 일이 크시고 하시는 일이 거창하신 분, 주께서는 사람의 생활 태도를 낱낱이 살피셨다가, 그 생활 태도와 행실을 따라 갚아주시는 분이십니다.
  5. 주께서는 이집트에서 놀라운 일을 행하셔서 몸소 힘을 드러내셨으며, 그 후로 이 날까지 이스라엘 나라 안팎으로 모든 사람에게 힘을 드러내셔서 그 이름을 떨치셨습니다.
  1. "After I had given the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, then I prayed to the LORD, saying,
  2. 'Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You,
  3. who shows lovingkindness to thousands, but repays the iniquity of fathers into the bosom of their children after them, O great and mighty God The LORD of hosts is His name;
  4. great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, giving to everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds;
  5. who has set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, and even to this day both in Israel and among mankind; and You have made a name for Yourself, as at this day.
  1. 이집트에서 주의 백성 이스라엘을 데려내오실 때에 주님은 위엄찬 모습으로 힘있게 팔을 내뻗으셨습니다. 놀라운 일을 하시어 몸소 힘을 드러내셨습니다.
  2. 그리고 우리의 조상들에게 주시겠다고 맹세하신 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 이 땅을 그 후손인 우리들에게 주셨습니다.
  3. 그런데 우리들은 이 땅에 들어와 이 땅을 차지하고 살면서 주님의 말씀을 듣지 않았습니다. 주신 법을 따라 살지 않고 무엇 하나 분부하신 대로 한 일이 없습니다. 그러다가 이스라엘 백성은 이 온갖 재앙을 당하게 되었습니다.
  4. 이 성을 점령하려고 쌓은 토성이 저렇게 올라가고 있습니다. 이 성은 기근과 염병에 시달리고 바빌론 군의 공격에 허덕이고 있습니다. 이제 곧 원수의 손에 떨어지게 되었습니다. 보시다시피 주께서 일찍이 말씀하신 대로 되어가고 있습니다.
  5. 이렇게 이 성이 바빌론 군 손에 떨어져 가는데, 주 야훼께서는 저더러 증인들을 세우고 돈을 주고 그 밭을 사라고 하시니, 이 어찌 된 일이옵니까?"
  1. 'You brought Your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and with wonders, and with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm and with great terror;
  2. and gave them this land, which You swore to their forefathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey.
  3. 'They came in and took possession of it, but they did not obey Your voice or walk in Your law; they have done nothing of all that You commanded them to do; therefore You have made all this calamity come upon them.
  4. 'Behold, the siege ramps have reached the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, the famine and the pestilence; and what You have spoken has come to pass; and behold, You see it.
  5. 'You have said to me, O Lord GOD, "Buy for yourself the field with money and call in witnesses"--although the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.'"
  1. 이렇게 말하는 예레미야에게 야훼의 말씀이 내렸다.
  2. "나를 보아라. 이 야훼는 모든 사람을 낸 하느님이라, 못할 일이 없다.
  3. 그런 하느님으로서 선언한다. 나 이제 이 성을 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살과 그 군대의 손에 넘겨주리라.
  4. 그리하여 이 성을 공격하고 있는 바빌론 군이 부수고 들어와 이 성을 불에 태워버리리라. 너희는 옥상을 오르내리며 바알에게 분향하고, 다른 신들에게 제주를 부어 바쳐 나의 울화를 돋우었다. 이제 나는 그 집들을 불살라 버리리라.
  5. 이스라엘 문중과 유다 문중은 젊었을 때부터 내 눈에 거슬리는 일만 하여왔다. 이스라엘 문중은 제 손으로 우상을 만들어 내 속을 썩였다. 똑똑히 들어라.
  1. Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,
  2. "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?"
  3. Therefore thus says the LORD, "Behold, I am about to give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will take it.
  4. "The Chaldeans who are fighting against this city will enter and set this city on fire and burn it, with the houses where people have offered incense to Baal on their roofs and poured out drink offerings to other gods to provoke Me to anger.
  5. "Indeed the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have been doing only evil in My sight from their youth; for the sons of Israel have been only provoking Me to anger by the work of their hands," declares the LORD.
  1. 이 성은 설 때부터 이 날까지 내 가슴에 불을 질러 분통을 터뜨렸다. 이제는 보기도 싫어, 이 성을 쓸어버리기로 하였다.
  2. 이스라엘 문중과 유다 문중이 그 왕들, 고관들, 사제들, 예언자들을 비롯하여 유다의 온 국민, 예루살렘 시민들까지 온갖 못할 짓을 하여 나의 속을 썩여주었는데 어찌 그대로 두겠느냐?
  3. 이 백성은 등을 돌려 나를 외면하였다. 내가 아무리 깨우치고 타일러도 들으려고 하지 않고 오히려 그 가르침을 거절하였다.
  4. 더군다나 내 이름으로 불리는 이 집에 역겨운 우상을 세워 나의 이름을 욕되게 하였다.
  5. 또 벤힌놈 골짜기에 바알 산당을 짓고 아들딸 자식들을 몰록 신에게 제물로 살라 바쳤다. 나는 그런 일을 시킨 일이 없다. 시키기는커녕 그런 역겨운 일을 하여 유다 사람들을 죄짓게 할 생각은 꿈에도 없었다.
  1. "Indeed this city has been to Me a provocation of My anger and My wrath from the day that they built it, even to this day, so that it should be removed from before My face,
  2. because of all the evil of the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah which they have done to provoke Me to anger--they, their kings, their leaders, their priests, their prophets, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
  3. "They have turned their back to Me and not their face; though I taught them, teaching again and again, they would not listen and receive instruction.
  4. "But they put their detestable things in the house which is called by My name, to defile it.
  5. "They built the high places of Baal that are in the valley of Ben-hinnom to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I had not commanded them nor had it entered My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
  1. 너희는 이 성이 전쟁과 기근과 염병으로 화를 입어 바빌론 왕의 손에 넘어간다고 말하지만, 이제 나 야훼는 이스라엘의 하느님으로서 장차 이 성읍을 어떻게 만들 것인지 말하겠다.
  2. 나는 마침내 울화가 터져, 화난 김에 분통을 터뜨리고야 말았다. 그래서 나는 이 백성을 여러 나라에 쫓아보낼 것이다. 그러나 거기에서 모아가지고 다시 이 곳으로 돌아와 안심하고 살게 하리라.
  3. 그들은 내 백성이 되고 나는 그들의 하느님이 되리라.
  4. 나는 이 백성의 마음과 생활 태도를 변화시켜 언제까지나 나를 공경하여 대대손손 잘되게 하여주리라.
  5. 나는 이 백성과 영원한 계약을 맺어, 끝까지 잘 보아주리라. 나를 공경할 마음이 생기게 하여, 다시는 나를 떠나가는 일이 없게 하리라.
  1. "Now therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel concerning this city of which you say, 'It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by sword, by famine and by pestilence.'
  2. "Behold, I will gather them out of all the lands to which I have driven them in My anger, in My wrath and in great indignation; and I will bring them back to this place and make them dwell in safety.
  3. "They shall be My people, and I will be their God;
  4. and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me always, for their own good and for the good of their children after them.
  5. "I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will put the fear of Me in their hearts so that they will not turn away from Me.
  1. 이 백성이 잘되는 것이 즐거워, 마음과 정성을 쏟아 이 백성을 이 땅에 뿌리박고 살게 하리라.
  2. 나 야훼가 선언한다. 나 비록 이 백성에게 이토록 큰 재앙을 내린다마는, 그만큼 약속한 행복도 모두 베풀 것이다.
  3. 너희 예언자들은 이 땅이 바빌론 사람들의 손에 넘어가 쑥밭이 되어 사람이나 짐승의 그림자도 어른거리지 않겠다고 하였지만, 이 땅에서 다시 밭을 사고 팔게 되리라.
  4. 증인을 세우고 문서를 만들어 봉인을 치고 돈을 내어 밭을 사게 되리라. 예루살렘 주위와 유다 성읍들과 산악 지방의 성읍들과 야산 지대의 성읍들과 남쪽 지방 성읍에서도 밭을 사고 팔게 되리라. 이렇게 나는 이 백성의 운명을 회복시켜 주리라. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다."
  1. "I will rejoice over them to do them good and will faithfully plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My soul.
  2. "For thus says the LORD, 'Just as I brought all this great disaster on this people, so I am going to bring on them all the good that I am promising them.
  3. 'Fields will be bought in this land of which you say, "It is a desolation, without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans."
  4. 'Men will buy fields for money, sign and seal deeds, and call in witnesses in the land of Benjamin, in the environs of Jerusalem, in the cities of Judah, in the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland and in the cities of the Negev; for I will restore their fortunes,' declares the LORD."
