신명기 32:48-34:12

 하나님께서 모세를 부르셔서 그가 약속의 땅이 바라보이는 산 위에서 운명하게 될 것을 말씀하셨다. 모세는 이스라엘 백성을 지파별로 축복하고 작별을 고했다. 자신의 사명을 다한 모세는 느보 산에 올라 약속의 땅 가나안을 바라보며 운명하여 모압의 한 골짜기에 장사되었다.
  
  모세의 축복(32:48-33:29)    
 
  1. 바로 같은 날, 야훼께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "너는 예리고 맞은 편 모압 땅에 있는 아바림 산맥을 타고 느보 산 봉우리에 올라가서 내가 이스라엘 백성에게 주어 차지하게 할 가나안 땅을 바라보고
  3. 그 산에서 죽어라. 네 형 아론이, 호르 산에서 죽어 앞서간 겨레에게로 돌아갔듯이 너 또한 앞서간 겨레에게로 돌아가거라.
  4. 너는 씬 광야에 있는 카데스의 므리바 샘 가에서 이스라엘 백성이 둘러선 가운데 나를 배신하였다. 내가 하느님인 것을 이스라엘 백성 가운데 드러내지 아니하였다.
  5. 내가 이스라엘 백성에게 주는 저 땅을 건너다 볼 뿐 들어가지 못하는 것은 그 때문이다."
  1. On that same day the LORD told Moses,
  2. "Go up into the Abarim Range to Mount Nebo in Moab, across from Jericho, and view Canaan, the land I am giving the Israelites as their own possession.
  3. There on the mountain that you have climbed you will die and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people.
  4. This is because both of you broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin and because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites.
  5. Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel."
 
 
  1. 하느님의 사람 모세는 죽기 전에 이스라엘 백성에게 복을 빌어주었다.
  2. "야훼께서 시나이에서 오신다. 동트듯 세일에서 솟아올라, 바란 산 마루에서 비추신다. 오른손에 번개를 잡으시고 카데스 므리바에서 나오신다.
  3. 그의 콧김에 만방이 타죽는데 거룩한 무리가 모두 찬양을 올리며 그의 연을 메고 뒤를 따라나온다.
  4. 모세, 우리에게 법을 내리셨다. 야곱의 무리가 당신의 백성이 되었다.
  5. 그가 여수룬에서 등극하시니, 백성을 대표하여 어른들이 모여 오고 이스라엘 지파들이 가지런히 모여 섰다.
  1. This is the blessing that Moses the man of God pronounced on the Israelites before his death.
  2. He said: "The LORD came from Sinai and dawned over them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran. He came with myriads of holy ones from the south, from his mountain slopes.
  3. Surely it is you who love the people; all the holy ones are in your hand. At your feet they all bow down, and from you receive instruction,
  4. the law that Moses gave us, the possession of the assembly of Jacob.
  5. He was king over Jeshurun when the leaders of the people assembled, along with the tribes of Israel.
  1. 르우벤은 죽이지 않고 살려두리라. 다만 얼마만이라도 남겨두리라."
  2. 유다를 두고 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "야훼여 들으소서, 유다의 외치는 소리를. 그리고 그를 제 겨레에게 올라오게 해주소서. 외톨이로 싸우는 저 손, 당신께서 도우시어 원수에게서 건져주소서."
  3. 레위를 두고 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "레위에게 당신의 둠밈을 주소서. 신실한 당신의 사람에게 우림을 주소서. 당신께서는 마싸아에서 그를 시험해 보셨고 므리바 샘 가에서 시비를 가려보셨습니다.
  4. 그는 제 아비와 어미를 모른다면서, 제 동기도 외면하고 자식마저 모르는 체하면서, 하느님의 말씀만 따라 주신 계약을 지켰습니다.
  5. 그들은 당신의 바른 길을 야곱에게, 당신의 법을 이스라엘에게 가르치며 향기를 하느님 앞에 피워 올리고, 제단에 번제를 바치는 사람들입니다.
  1. "Let Reuben live and not die, nor his men be few."
  2. And this he said about Judah: "Hear, O LORD, the cry of Judah; bring him to his people. With his own hands he defends his cause. Oh, be his help against his foes!"
  3. About Levi he said: "Your Thummim and Urim belong to the man you favored. You tested him at Massah; you contended with him at the waters of Meribah.
  4. He said of his father and mother, 'I have no regard for them.' He did not recognize his brothers or acknowledge his own children, but he watched over your word and guarded your covenant.
  5. He teaches your precepts to Jacob and your law to Israel. He offers incense before you and whole burnt offerings on your altar.
  1. 야훼여, 그의 기력에 복을 내려주소서. 그가 손으로 하는 일에 은총을 내려주소서. 그와 맞서는 사람의 허리를 꺾으소서. 그를 미워하는 자를 다시는 일어나지 못하게 하소서."
  2. 베냐민을 두고 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "야훼의 귀염둥이, 날마다 보살펴 주시는 하느님 옆에서 안심하고 살아라. 그 어깨에 업혀 살아라."
  3. 요셉을 두고 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "그의 땅은 야훼께 복받은 땅, 위로 하늘에서 더없이 값진 복이 내리고 아래로 지하에 숨어 있는 물줄기로 젖어오는 땅,
  4. 쏟아지는 햇빛에 소담스레 오곡이 여물고 다달이 백과가 탐스럽게 열리는 땅.
  5. 태곳적 산맥에서 열리는 특산품, 영원한 언덕에서 맺는 최상품,
  1. Bless all his skills, O LORD, and be pleased with the work of his hands. Smite the loins of those who rise up against him; strike his foes till they rise no more."
  2. About Benjamin he said: "Let the beloved of the LORD rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the LORD loves rests between his shoulders."
  3. About Joseph he said: "May the LORD bless his land with the precious dew from heaven above and with the deep waters that lie below;
  4. with the best the sun brings forth and the finest the moon can yield;
  5. with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills;
  1. 땅에서 나는 지극히 좋은 온갖 것이 떨기나무 속에 사시는 이의 은총이 되어 요셉의 머리 위에, 동기들 위에 드높은 사람, 그의 정수리에 내려라.
  2. 그의 위엄은 처음 난 수송아지요 그의 두 뿔은 들소 뿔이라. 만방을 들이받아 단숨에 땅 끝까지 휩쓴다. 수없는 에브라임의 자손이 한 쪽에 솟았고 수많은 므나쎄의 후손이 또 한 쪽에 솟았구나."
  3. 즈불룬을 두고 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "즈불룬아, 즐겨 밖으로 진출하여라. 이싸갈아, 네 천막에서 살며 행복하여라.
  4. 민족들을 산으로 불러모으고 바다에서 얻는 것과 모래 속에 숨겨 있는 것으로 먹고 살며 베푸신 행운을 감사하여 제물을 바칠지라."
  5. 가드를 두고 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "가드의 앞길을 열어주시는 이를 찬양하여라. 가드는 사자처럼 누웠다가 팔과 정수리를 갈가리 찢었다.
  1. with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness and the favor of him who dwelt in the burning bush. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers.
  2. In majesty he is like a firstborn bull; his horns are the horns of a wild ox. With them he will gore the nations, even those at the ends of the earth. Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim; such are the thousands of Manasseh."
  3. About Zebulun he said: "Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out, and you, Issachar, in your tents.
  4. They will summon peoples to the mountain and there offer sacrifices of righteousness; they will feast on the abundance of the seas, on the treasures hidden in the sand."
  5. About Gad he said: "Blessed is he who enlarges Gad's domain! Gad lives there like a lion, tearing at arm or head.
  1. 가장 좋은 땅을 보고는 저에게 돌아올 몫으로 거기에 떼어놓았다. 그리고 백성의 선두에 나서서 야훼의 승리를 이룩하고 이스라엘과 함께 그의 심판을 집행하였다."
  2. 단을 두고 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "단은 바산에서 튀어 나오는 사자 새끼다."
  3. 납달리를 두고 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "넘치도록 귀여움받는 납달리, 남쪽으로 호수를 끼고 살며, 야훼의 복이 흘러 넘치리라."
  4. 아셀을 두고 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "아셀은 아들들 가운데서도 가장 큰 복을 받아라. 형제들 가운데서도 가장 귀여움을 받아라. 기름으로 발을 닦고
  5. 쇠빗장, 놋빗장으로 문을 잠그고 길이길이 태평성대를 누리어라.
  1. He chose the best land for himself; the leader's portion was kept for him. When the heads of the people assembled, he carried out the LORD's righteous will, and his judgments concerning Israel."
  2. About Dan he said: "Dan is a lion's cub, springing out of Bashan."
  3. About Naphtali he said: "Naphtali is abounding with the favor of the LORD and is full of his blessing; he will inherit southward to the lake."
  4. About Asher he said: "Most blessed of sons is Asher; let him be favored by his brothers, and let him bathe his feet in oil.
  5. The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze, and your strength will equal your days.
  1. 여수룬아, 너희 하느님과 같은 이는 없다. 너를 도우러 하늘을 타고 오신다. 위엄차게 구름을 타고 오신다.
  2. 태곳적부터 계시는 너의 하느님, 너의 피난처, 당신의 영원한 팔을 아래로 뻗으시고 네 앞에서 원수를 몰아내시며 '진멸하라.' 하고 외치신다.
  3. 이제 이스라엘은 태평성대를 누리게 되며, 야곱의 샘에는 아무도 근접하지 못하리라. 오곡과 술이 나는 땅에는 그 위의 하늘이 이슬비를 내려주리라.
  4. 행운이 열렸구나. 너, 이스라엘아, 너 같은 행운아가 어디 또 있겠느냐? 너를 도와주시는 방패, 너의 영광스러운 칼, 야훼께서 도와주시는 백성아, 굽실거리는 원수의 등을 네가 마구 짓밟으리라."
  1. "There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty.
  2. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, 'Destroy him!'
  3. So Israel will live in safety alone; Jacob's spring is secure in a land of grain and new wine, where the heavens drop dew.
  4. Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD ? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword. Your enemies will cower before you, and you will trample down their high places. "
 
  모세의 죽음(34:1-34:12)    
 
  1. 모세가 모압 광야에서 예리고 맞은편에 있는 느보 산 비스가 봉우리에 오르자, 야훼께서 그에게 온 땅을 보여주셨다. 단에 이르는 길르앗 지방,
  2. 온 납달리와 에브라임과 므나쎄 지방, 서쪽 바다에 이르는 온 유다 지방,
  3. 네겝과 종려 도시 예리고 골짜기의 분지를 소알에 이르기까지 보이시며
  4. 야훼께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "이것이 내가 아브라함과 이사악과 야곱에게 맹세하여 그들의 후손에게 주겠다고 한 땅이다. 이렇게 너의 눈으로 보게는 해준다마는, 너는 저리로 건너가지 못한다."
  5. 야훼의 종 모세는 그 곳 모압 땅에서 야훼의 말씀대로 죽어
  1. Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo from the plains of Moab to the top of Pisgah, across from Jericho. There the LORD showed him the whole land--from Gilead to Dan,
  2. all of Naphtali, the territory of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the western sea,
  3. the Negev and the whole region from the Valley of Jericho, the City of Palms, as far as Zoar.
  4. Then the LORD said to him, "This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob when I said, 'I will give it to your descendants.' I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over into it."
  5. And Moses the servant of the LORD died there in Moab, as the LORD had said.
  1. 모압 땅에 있는 벳브올 맞은편 골짜기에 묻혔는데 그의 무덤이 어디에 있는지는 오늘까지 아무도 모른다.
  2. 모세는 죽을 때 나이 백이십 세였다. 그러나 그의 눈은 아직 정기를 잃지 않았고 그의 정력은 떨어지지 않았었다.
  3. 이스라엘 백성은 모압 광야에서 삼십 일 동안 모세의 죽음을 슬퍼하며 곡했다. 이렇게 그들은 모세의 상을 입고 곡하는 기간을 채웠다.
  4. 눈의 아들 여호수아는 하느님의 영을 받아 지혜가 넘쳤다. 모세가 그에게 손을 얹어주었던 것이다. 그의 지휘 아래 이스라엘 백성은 야훼께서 이미 모세에게 분부하신 일을 다 이루었다.
  5. 그 후로 이스라엘에는 두 번 다시 모세와 같은 예언자, 야훼와 얼굴을 마주보면서 사귀는 사람은 태어나지 않았다.
  1. He buried him in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is.
  2. Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone.
  3. The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning was over.
  4. Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the LORD had commanded Moses.
  5. Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,
  1. 모세가 야훼의 사명을 띠고 이집트 땅으로 가서 파라오와 그의 신하들과 그의 온 땅에 행한 것과 같은 온갖 기적과 표적을 행한 사람은 다시 없었다.
  2. 모세처럼 강한 손으로 그토록 크고 두려운 일을 온 이스라엘 백성의 눈앞에서 이루어 보인 사람은 다시 없었다.
  1. who did all those miraculous signs and wonders the LORD sent him to do in Egypt--to Pharaoh and to all his officials and to his whole land.
  2. For no one has ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
