욥기 39:1-40:24

 하나님께서는 자연 세계에 관한 여러 가지 질문을 하시면서 욥에게 대답을 요구하셨다. 그러자 욥은 자신은 미천하여 하나님께 대답할 수 없다고 고백하였다. 하나님께서는 하마에 대하여 설명하시면서 욥에게 교만을 버릴 것과 욥을 지으신 하나님의 절대 주권을 나타내셨다.
  
  하나님과 욥의 대화(39:1-40:24)    
 
  1. 산 염소가 새끼 치는 때를 네가 아느냐 암사슴이 새끼 낳는 것을 네가 본 적이 있느냐
  2. 그것이 몇 달 만에 만삭되는지 아느냐 그 낳을 때를 아느냐
  3. 그것들은 몸을 구푸리고 새끼를 낳으니 그 괴로움이 지나가고
  4. 그 새끼는 강하여져서 빈 들에서 크다가 나간 후에는 다시 돌아오지 아니하느니라
  5. 누가 들나귀를 놓아 자유롭게 하였느냐 누가 빠른 나귀의 매인 것을 풀었느냐
  1. "Do you know when the mountain goats give birth? Do you watch when the doe bears her fawn?
  2. Do you count the months till they bear? Do you know the time they give birth?
  3. They crouch down and bring forth their young; their labor pains are ended.
  4. Their young thrive and grow strong in the wilds; they leave and do not return.
  5. "Who let the wild donkey go free? Who untied his ropes?
  1. 내가 들을 그것의 집으로, 소금 땅을 그것이 사는 처소로 삼았느니라
  2. 들나귀는 성읍에서 지껄이는 소리를 비웃나니 나귀 치는 사람이 지르는 소리는 그것에게 들리지 아니하며
  3. 초장 언덕으로 두루 다니며 여러 가지 푸른 풀을 찾느니라
  4. 들소가 어찌 기꺼이 너를 위하여 일하겠으며 네 외양간에 머물겠느냐
  5. 네가 능히 줄로 매어 들소가 이랑을 갈게 하겠느냐 그것이 어찌 골짜기에서 너를 따라 써레를 끌겠느냐
  1. I gave him the wasteland as his home, the salt flats as his habitat.
  2. He laughs at the commotion in the town; he does not hear a driver's shout.
  3. He ranges the hills for his pasture and searches for any green thing.
  4. "Will the wild ox consent to serve you? Will he stay by your manger at night?
  5. Can you hold him to the furrow with a harness? Will he till the valleys behind you?
  1. 그것이 힘이 세다고 네가 그것을 의지하겠느냐 네 수고를 그것에게 맡기겠느냐
  2. 그것이 네 곡식을 집으로 실어 오며 네 타작 마당에 곡식 모으기를 그것에게 의탁하겠느냐
  3. 타조는 즐거이 날개를 치나 학의 깃털과 날개 같겠느냐
  4. 그것이 알을 땅에 버려두어 흙에서 더워지게 하고
  5. 발에 깨어질 것이나 들짐승에게 밟힐 것을 생각하지 아니하고
  1. Will you rely on him for his great strength? Will you leave your heavy work to him?
  2. Can you trust him to bring in your grain and gather it to your threshing floor?
  3. "The wings of the ostrich flap joyfully, but they cannot compare with the pinions and feathers of the stork.
  4. She lays her eggs on the ground and lets them warm in the sand,
  5. unmindful that a foot may crush them, that some wild animal may trample them.
  1. 그 새끼에게 모질게 대함이 제 새끼가 아닌 것처럼 하며 그 고생한 것이 헛되게 될지라도 두려워하지 아니하나니
  2. 이는 하나님이 지혜를 베풀지 아니하셨고 총명을 주지 아니함이라
  3. 그러나 그것이 몸을 떨쳐 뛰어갈 때에는 말과 그 위에 탄 자를 우습게 여기느니라
  4. 말의 힘을 네가 주었느냐 그 목에 흩날리는 갈기를 네가 입혔느냐
  5. 네가 그것으로 메뚜기처럼 뛰게 하였느냐 그 위엄스러운 콧소리가 두려우니라
  1. She treats her young harshly, as if they were not hers; she cares not that her labor was in vain,
  2. for God did not endow her with wisdom or give her a share of good sense.
  3. Yet when she spreads her feathers to run, she laughs at horse and rider.
  4. "Do you give the horse his strength or clothe his neck with a flowing mane?
  5. Do you make him leap like a locust, striking terror with his proud snorting?
  1. 그것이 골짜기에서 발굽질하고 힘 있음을 기뻐하며 앞으로 나아가서 군사들을 맞되
  2. 두려움을 모르고 겁내지 아니하며 칼을 대할지라도 물러나지 아니하니
  3. 그의 머리 위에서는 화살통과 빛나는 창과 투창이 번쩍이며
  4. 땅을 삼킬 듯이 맹렬히 성내며 나팔 소리에 머물러 서지 아니하고
  5. 나팔 소리가 날 때마다 힝힝 울며 멀리서 싸움 냄새를 맡고 지휘관들의 호령과 외치는 소리를 듣느니라
  1. He paws fiercely, rejoicing in his strength, and charges into the fray.
  2. He laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; he does not shy away from the sword.
  3. The quiver rattles against his side, along with the flashing spear and lance.
  4. In frenzied excitement he eats up the ground; he cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds.
  5. At the blast of the trumpet he snorts, 'Aha!' He catches the scent of battle from afar, the shout of commanders and the battle cry.
  1. 매가 떠올라서 날개를 펼쳐 남쪽으로 향하는 것이 어찌 네 지혜로 말미암음이냐
  2. 독수리가 공중에 떠서 높은 곳에 보금자리를 만드는 것이 어찌 네 명령을 따름이냐
  3. 그것이 낭떠러지에 집을 지으며 뾰족한 바위 끝이나 험준한 데 살며
  4. 거기서 먹이를 살피나니 그 눈이 멀리 봄이며
  5. 그 새끼들도 피를 빠나니 시체가 있는 곳에는 독수리가 있느니라
  1. "Does the hawk take flight by your wisdom and spread his wings toward the south?
  2. Does the eagle soar at your command and build his nest on high?
  3. He dwells on a cliff and stays there at night; a rocky crag is his stronghold.
  4. From there he seeks out his food; his eyes detect it from afar.
  5. His young ones feast on blood, and where the slain are, there is he."
 
 
  1. 여호와께서 또 욥에게 일러 말씀하시되
  2. 트집 잡는 자가 전능자와 다투겠느냐 하나님을 탓하는 자는 대답할지니라
  3. 욥이 여호와께 대답하여 이르되
  4. 보소서 나는 비천하오니 무엇이라 주께 대답하리이까 손으로 내 입을 가릴 뿐이로소이다
  5. 내가 한 번 말하였사온즉 다시는 더 대답하지 아니하겠나이다
  1. The LORD said to Job:
  2. "Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let him who accuses God answer him!"
  3. Then Job answered the LORD :
  4. "I am unworthy--how can I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth.
  5. I spoke once, but I have no answer-- twice, but I will say no more."
  1. 그 때에 여호와께서 폭풍우 가운데에서 욥에게 일러 말씀하시되
  2. 너는 대장부처럼 허리를 묶고 내가 네게 묻겠으니 내게 대답할지니라
  3. 네가 내 공의를 부인하려느냐 네 의를 세우려고 나를 악하다 하겠느냐
  4. 네가 하나님처럼 능력이 있느냐 하나님처럼 천둥 소리를 내겠느냐
  5. 너는 위엄과 존귀로 단장하며 영광과 영화를 입을지니라
  1. Then the LORD spoke to Job out of the storm:
  2. "Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.
  3. "Would you discredit my justice? Would you condemn me to justify yourself?
  4. Do you have an arm like God's, and can your voice thunder like his?
  5. Then adorn yourself with glory and splendor, and clothe yourself in honor and majesty.
  1. 너의 넘치는 노를 비우고 교만한 자를 발견하여 모두 낮추되
  2. 모든 교만한 자를 발견하여 낮아지게 하며 악인을 그들의 처소에서 짓밟을지니라
  3. 그들을 함께 진토에 묻고 그들의 얼굴을 싸서 은밀한 곳에 둘지니라
  4. 그리하면 네 오른손이 너를 구원할 수 있다고 내가 인정하리라
  5. 이제 소 같이 풀을 먹는 베헤못을 볼지어다 내가 너를 지은 것 같이 그것도 지었느니라
  1. Unleash the fury of your wrath, look at every proud man and bring him low,
  2. look at every proud man and humble him, crush the wicked where they stand.
  3. Bury them all in the dust together; shroud their faces in the grave.
  4. Then I myself will admit to you that your own right hand can save you.
  5. "Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox.
  1. 그것의 힘은 허리에 있고 그 뚝심은 배의 힘줄에 있고
  2. 그것이 꼬리 치는 것은 백향목이 흔들리는 것 같고 그 넓적다리 힘줄은 서로 얽혀 있으며
  3. 그 뼈는 놋관 같고 그 뼈대는 쇠 막대기 같으니
  4. 그것은 하나님이 만드신 것 중에 으뜸이라 그것을 지으신 이가 자기의 칼을 가져 오기를 바라노라
  5. 모든 들 짐승들이 뛰노는 산은 그것을 위하여 먹이를 내느니라
  1. What strength he has in his loins, what power in the muscles of his belly!
  2. His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are close-knit.
  3. His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like rods of iron.
  4. He ranks first among the works of God, yet his Maker can approach him with his sword.
  5. The hills bring him their produce, and all the wild animals play nearby.
  1. 그것이 연 잎 아래에나 갈대 그늘에서나 늪 속에 엎드리니
  2. 연 잎 그늘이 덮으며 시내 버들이 그를 감싸는도다
  3. 강물이 소용돌이칠지라도 그것이 놀라지 않고 요단 강 물이 쏟아져 그 입으로 들어가도 태연하니
  4. 그것이 눈을 뜨고 있을 때 누가 능히 잡을 수 있겠으며 갈고리로 그것의 코를 꿸 수 있겠느냐
  1. Under the lotus plants he lies, hidden among the reeds in the marsh.
  2. The lotuses conceal him in their shadow; the poplars by the stream surround him.
  3. When the river rages, he is not alarmed; he is secure, though the Jordan should surge against his mouth.
  4. Can anyone capture him by the eyes, or trap him and pierce his nose?
