- 내가 성내에서 강포와 분쟁을 보았사오니 주여 그들을 멸하소서 그들의 혀를 잘라 버리소서
- 그들이 주야로 성벽 위에 두루 다니니 성 중에는 죄악과 재난이 있으며
- 악독이 그 중에 있고 압박과 속임수가 그 거리를 떠나지 아니하도다
- 나를 책망하는 자는 원수가 아니라 원수일진대 내가 참았으리라 나를 대하여 자기를 높이는 자는 나를 미워하는 자가 아니라 미워하는 자일진대 내가 그를 피하여 숨었으리라
- 그는 곧 너로다 나의 동료, 나의 친구요 나의 가까운 친우로다

- Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
- Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
- Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
- For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
- But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
