이사야 39:1-41:29

 히스기야의 병이 회복되었다는 소식을 듣고 방문한 바벨론 사신들에게 히스기야는 무기고와 보물고를 보여 주는 교만을 보였다. 이에 이사야는 그 모든 보물을 바벨론에게 빼앗길 것이라고 예언하였다. 또한 하나님의 주권으로 이스라엘은 바벨론 포로 생활에서 해방될 것이라고 하였다.
  
  바벨론의 사자(39:1-39:8)    
 
  1. 그 때에 발라단의 아들 바벨론 왕 므로닥발라단이 히스기야가 병 들었다가 나았다 함을 듣고 히스기야에게 글과 예물을 보낸지라
  2. 히스기야가 사자들로 말미암아 기뻐하여 그들에게 보물 창고 곧 은금과 향료와 보배로운 기름과 모든 무기고에 있는 것을 다 보여 주었으니 히스기야가 궁중의 소유와 전 국내의 소유를 보이지 아니한 것이 없는지라
  3. 이에 선지자 이사야가 히스기야 왕에게 나아와 묻되 그 사람들이 무슨 말을 하였으며 어디서 왕에게 왔나이까 하니 히스기야가 이르되 그들이 원방 곧 바벨론에서 내게 왔나이다 하니라
  4. 이사야가 이르되 그들이 왕의 궁전에서 무엇을 보았나이까 하니 히스기야가 대답하되 그들이 내 궁전에 있는 것을 다 보았나이다 내 창고에 있는 것으로 보이지 아니한 보물이 하나도 없나이다 하니라
  5. 이사야가 히스기야에게 이르되 왕은 만군의 여호와의 말씀을 들으소서
  1. At that time Merodach-Baladan son of Baladan king of Babylon sent Hezekiah letters and a gift, because he had heard of his illness and recovery.
  2. Hezekiah received the envoys gladly and showed them what was in his storehouses--the silver, the gold, the spices, the fine oil, his entire armory and everything found among his treasures. There was nothing in his palace or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them.
  3. Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah and asked, "What did those men say, and where did they come from?" "From a distant land," Hezekiah replied. "They came to me from Babylon."
  4. The prophet asked, "What did they see in your palace?" "They saw everything in my palace," Hezekiah said. "There is nothing among my treasures that I did not show them."
  5. Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the LORD Almighty:
  1. 보라 날이 이르리니 네 집에 있는 모든 소유와 네 조상들이 오늘까지 쌓아 둔 것이 모두 바벨론으로 옮긴 바 되고 남을 것이 없으리라 여호와의 말이니라
  2. 또 네게서 태어날 자손 중에서 몇이 사로잡혀 바벨론 왕궁의 환관이 되리라 하셨나이다 하니
  3. 히스기야가 이사야에게 이르되 당신이 이른 바 여호와의 말씀이 좋소이다 하고 또 이르되 내 생전에는 평안과 견고함이 있으리로다 하니라
  1. The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your fathers have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the LORD.
  2. And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood who will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon."
  3. "The word of the LORD you have spoken is good," Hezekiah replied. For he thought, "There will be peace and security in my lifetime."
 
  이스라엘에 대한 하나님의 구원(40:1-41:29)    
 
  1. 너희의 하나님이 이르시되 너희는 위로하라 내 백성을 위로하라
  2. 너희는 예루살렘의 마음에 닿도록 말하며 그것에게 외치라 그 노역의 때가 끝났고 그 죄악이 사함을 받았느니라 그의 모든 죄로 말미암아 여호와의 손에서 벌을 배나 받았느니라 할지니라 하시니라
  3. 외치는 자의 소리여 이르되 너희는 광야에서 여호와의 길을 예비하라 사막에서 우리 하나님의 대로를 평탄하게 하라
  4. 골짜기마다 돋우어지며 산마다, 언덕마다 낮아지며 고르지 아니한 곳이 평탄하게 되며 험한 곳이 평지가 될 것이요
  5. 여호와의 영광이 나타나고 모든 육체가 그것을 함께 보리라 이는 여호와의 입이 말씀하셨느니라
  1. Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.
  2. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD's hand double for all her sins.
  3. A voice of one calling: "In the desert prepare the way for the LORD ; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God.
  4. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.
  5. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken."
  1. 말하는 자의 소리여 이르되 외치라 대답하되 내가 무엇이라 외치리이까 하니 이르되 모든 육체는 풀이요 그의 모든 아름다움은 들의 꽃과 같으니
  2. 풀은 마르고 꽃이 시듦은 여호와의 기운이 그 위에 붊이라 이 백성은 실로 풀이로다
  3. 풀은 마르고 꽃은 시드나 우리 하나님의 말씀은 영원히 서리라 하라
  4. 아름다운 소식을 시온에 전하는 자여 너는 높은 산에 오르라 아름다운 소식을 예루살렘에 전하는 자여 너는 힘써 소리를 높이라 두려워하지 말고 소리를 높여 유다의 성읍들에게 이르기를 너희의 하나님을 보라 하라
  5. 보라 주 여호와께서 장차 강한 자로 임하실 것이요 친히 그의 팔로 다스리실 것이라 보라 상급이 그에게 있고 보응이 그의 앞에 있으며
  1. A voice says, "Cry out." And I said, "What shall I cry?" "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field.
  2. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the LORD blows on them. Surely the people are grass.
  3. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever."
  4. You who bring good tidings to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, "Here is your God!"
  5. See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.
  1. 그는 목자 같이 양 떼를 먹이시며 어린 양을 그 팔로 모아 품에 안으시며 젖먹이는 암컷들을 온순히 인도하시리로다
  2. 누가 손바닥으로 바닷물을 헤아렸으며 뼘으로 하늘을 쟀으며 땅의 티끌을 되에 담아 보았으며 접시 저울로 산들을, 막대 저울로 언덕들을 달아 보았으랴
  3. 누가 여호와의 영을 지도하였으며 그의 모사가 되어 그를 가르쳤으랴
  4. 그가 누구와 더불어 의논하셨으며 누가 그를 교훈하였으며 그에게 정의의 길로 가르쳤으며 지식을 가르쳤으며 통달의 도를 보여 주었느냐
  5. 보라 그에게는 열방이 통의 한 방울 물과 같고 저울의 작은 티끌 같으며 섬들은 떠오르는 먼지 같으리니
  1. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.
  2. Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?
  3. Who has understood the mind of the LORD, or instructed him as his counselor?
  4. Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding?
  5. Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.
  1. 레바논은 땔감에도 부족하겠고 그 짐승들은 번제에도 부족할 것이라
  2. 그의 앞에는 모든 열방이 아무것도 아니라 그는 그들을 없는 것 같이, 빈 것 같이 여기시느니라
  3. 그런즉 너희가 하나님을 누구와 같다 하겠으며 무슨 형상을 그에게 비기겠느냐
  4. 우상은 장인이 부어 만들었고 장색이 금으로 입혔고 또 은 사슬을 만든 것이니라
  5. 궁핍한 자는 거제를 드릴 때에 썩지 아니하는 나무를 택하고 지혜로운 장인을 구하여 우상을 만들어 흔들리지 아니하도록 세우느니라
  1. Lebanon is not sufficient for altar fires, nor its animals enough for burnt offerings.
  2. Before him all the nations are as nothing; they are regarded by him as worthless and less than nothing.
  3. To whom, then, will you compare God? What image will you compare him to?
  4. As for an idol, a craftsman casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold and fashions silver chains for it.
  5. A man too poor to present such an offering selects wood that will not rot. He looks for a skilled craftsman to set up an idol that will not topple.
  1. 너희가 알지 못하였느냐 너희가 듣지 못하였느냐 태초부터 너희에게 전하지 아니하였느냐 땅의 기초가 창조될 때부터 너희가 깨닫지 못하였느냐
  2. 그는 땅 위 궁창에 앉으시나니 땅에 사는 사람들은 메뚜기 같으니라 그가 하늘을 차일 같이 펴셨으며 거주할 천막 같이 치셨고
  3. 귀인들을 폐하시며 세상의 사사들을 헛되게 하시나니
  4. 그들은 겨우 심기고 겨우 뿌려졌으며 그 줄기가 겨우 땅에 뿌리를 박자 곧 하나님이 입김을 부시니 그들은 말라 회오리바람에 불려 가는 초개 같도다
  5. 거룩하신 이가 이르시되 그런즉 너희가 나를 누구에게 비교하여 나를 그와 동등하게 하겠느냐 하시니라
  1. Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded?
  2. He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
  3. He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing.
  4. No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.
  5. "To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?" says the Holy One.
  1. 너희는 눈을 높이 들어 누가 이 모든 것을 창조하였나 보라 주께서는 수효대로 만상을 이끌어 내시고 그들의 모든 이름을 부르시나니 그의 권세가 크고 그의 능력이 강하므로 하나도 빠짐이 없느니라
  2. 야곱아 어찌하여 네가 말하며 이스라엘아 네가 이르기를 내 길은 여호와께 숨겨졌으며 내 송사는 내 하나님에게서 벗어난다 하느냐
  3. 너는 알지 못하였느냐 듣지 못하였느냐 영원하신 하나님 여호와, 땅 끝까지 창조하신 이는 피곤하지 않으시며 곤비하지 않으시며 명철이 한이 없으시며
  4. 피곤한 자에게는 능력을 주시며 무능한 자에게는 힘을 더하시나니
  5. 소년이라도 피곤하며 곤비하며 장정이라도 넘어지며 쓰러지되
  1. Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.
  2. Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel, "My way is hidden from the LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God"?
  3. Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.
  4. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
  5. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
  1. 오직 여호와를 앙망하는 자는 새 힘을 얻으리니 독수리가 날개치며 올라감 같을 것이요 달음박질하여도 곤비하지 아니하겠고 걸어가도 피곤하지 아니하리로다
  1. but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
 
 
  1. 섬들아 내 앞에 잠잠하라 민족들아 힘을 새롭게 하라 가까이 나아오라 그리고 말하라 우리가 서로 재판 자리에 가까이 나아가자
  2. 누가 동방에서 사람을 일깨워서 공의로 그를 불러 자기 발 앞에 이르게 하였느냐 열국을 그의 앞에 넘겨 주며 그가 왕들을 다스리게 하되 그들이 그의 칼에 티끌 같게, 그의 활에 불리는 초개 같게 하매
  3. 그가 그들을 쫓아가서 그의 발로 가 보지 못한 길을 안전히 지났나니
  4. 이 일을 누가 행하였느냐 누가 이루었느냐 누가 처음부터 만대를 불러내었느냐 나 여호와라 처음에도 나요 나중 있을 자에게도 내가 곧 그니라
  5. 섬들이 보고 두려워하며 땅 끝이 무서워 떨며 함께 모여 와서
  1. "Be silent before me, you islands! Let the nations renew their strength! Let them come forward and speak; let us meet together at the place of judgment.
  2. "Who has stirred up one from the east, calling him in righteousness to his service ? He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them to dust with his sword, to windblown chaff with his bow.
  3. He pursues them and moves on unscathed, by a path his feet have not traveled before.
  4. Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the LORD -with the first of them and with the last--I am he."
  5. The islands have seen it and fear; the ends of the earth tremble. They approach and come forward;
  1. 각기 이웃을 도우며 그 형제에게 이르기를 너는 힘을 내라 하고
  2. 목공은 금장색을 격려하며 망치로 고르게 하는 자는 메질꾼을 격려하며 이르되 땜질이 잘 된다 하니 그가 못을 단단히 박아 우상을 흔들리지 아니하게 하는도다
  3. 그러나 나의 종 너 이스라엘아 내가 택한 야곱아 나의 벗 아브라함의 자손아
  4. 내가 땅 끝에서부터 너를 붙들며 땅 모퉁이에서부터 너를 부르고 네게 이르기를 너는 나의 종이라 내가 너를 택하고 싫어하여 버리지 아니하였다 하였노라
  5. 두려워하지 말라 내가 너와 함께 함이라 놀라지 말라 나는 네 하나님이 됨이라 내가 너를 굳세게 하리라 참으로 너를 도와 주리라 참으로 나의 의로운 오른손으로 너를 붙들리라
  1. each helps the other and says to his brother, "Be strong!"
  2. The craftsman encourages the goldsmith, and he who smooths with the hammer spurs on him who strikes the anvil. He says of the welding, "It is good." He nails down the idol so it will not topple.
  3. "But you, O Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend,
  4. I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, 'You are my servant'; I have chosen you and have not rejected you.
  5. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
  1. 보라 네게 노하던 자들이 수치와 욕을 당할 것이요 너와 다투는 자들이 아무것도 아닌 것 같이 될 것이며 멸망할 것이라
  2. 네가 찾아도 너와 싸우던 자들을 만나지 못할 것이요 너를 치는 자들은 아무것도 아닌 것 같고 허무한 것 같이 되리니
  3. 이는 나 여호와 너의 하나님이 네 오른손을 붙들고 네게 이르기를 두려워하지 말라 내가 너를 도우리라 할 것임이니라
  4. 버러지 같은 너 야곱아, 너희 이스라엘 사람들아 두려워하지 말라 나 여호와가 말하노니 내가 너를 도울 것이라 네 구속자는 이스라엘의 거룩한 이이니라
  5. 보라 내가 너를 이가 날카로운 새 타작기로 삼으리니 네가 산들을 쳐서 부스러기를 만들 것이며 작은 산들을 겨 같이 만들 것이라
  1. "All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish.
  2. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all.
  3. For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
  4. Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help you," declares the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
  5. "See, I will make you into a threshing sledge, new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff.
  1. 네가 그들을 까부른즉 바람이 그들을 날리겠고 회오리바람이 그들을 흩어 버릴 것이로되 너는 여호와로 말미암아 즐거워하겠고 이스라엘의 거룩한 이로 말미암아 자랑하리라
  2. 가련하고 가난한 자가 물을 구하되 물이 없어서 갈증으로 그들의 혀가 마를 때에 나 여호와가 그들에게 응답하겠고 나 이스라엘의 하나님이 그들을 버리지 아니할 것이라
  3. 내가 헐벗은 산에 강을 내며 골짜기 가운데에 샘이 나게 하며 광야가 못이 되게 하며 마른 땅이 샘 근원이 되게 할 것이며
  4. 내가 광야에는 백향목과 싯딤 나무와 화석류와 들감람나무를 심고 사막에는 잣나무와 소나무와 황양목을 함께 두리니
  5. 무리가 보고 여호와의 손이 지으신 바요 이스라엘의 거룩한 이가 이것을 창조하신 바인 줄 알며 함께 헤아리며 깨달으리라
  1. You will winnow them, the wind will pick them up, and a gale will blow them away. But you will rejoice in the LORD and glory in the Holy One of Israel.
  2. "The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
  3. I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs.
  4. I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress together,
  5. so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the LORD has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.
  1. 나 여호와가 말하노니 너희 우상들은 소송하라 야곱의 왕이 말하노니 너희는 확실한 증거를 보이라
  2. 장차 당할 일을 우리에게 진술하라 또 이전 일이 어떠한 것도 알게 하라 우리가 마음에 두고 그 결말을 알아보리라 혹 앞으로 올 일을 듣게 하며
  3. 뒤에 올 일을 알게 하라 그리하면 너희가 신들인 줄 우리가 알리라 또 복을 내리든지 재난을 내리든지 하라 우리가 함께 보고 놀라리라
  4. 보라 너희는 아무것도 아니며 너희 일은 허망하며 너희를 택한 자는 가증하니라
  5. 내가 한 사람을 일으켜 북방에서 오게 하며 내 이름을 부르는 자를 해 돋는 곳에서 오게 하였나니 그가 이르러 고관들을 석회 같이, 토기장이가 진흙을 밟음 같이 하리니
  1. "Present your case," says the LORD. "Set forth your arguments," says Jacob's King.
  2. "Bring in your idols to tell us what is going to happen. Tell us what the former things were, so that we may consider them and know their final outcome. Or declare to us the things to come,
  3. tell us what the future holds, so we may know that you are gods. Do something, whether good or bad, so that we will be dismayed and filled with fear.
  4. But you are less than nothing and your works are utterly worthless; he who chooses you is detestable.
  5. "I have stirred up one from the north, and he comes-- one from the rising sun who calls on my name. He treads on rulers as if they were mortar, as if he were a potter treading the clay.
  1. 누가 처음부터 이 일을 알게 하여 우리가 알았느냐 누가 이전부터 알게 하여 우리가 옳다고 말하게 하였느냐 알게 하는 자도 없고 들려 주는 자도 없고 너희 말을 듣는 자도 없도다
  2. 내가 비로소 시온에게 너희는 이제 그들을 보라 하였노라 내가 기쁜 소식을 전할 자를 예루살렘에 주리라
  3. 내가 본즉 한 사람도 없으며 내가 물어도 그들 가운데에 한 말도 대답할 조언자가 없도다
  4. 보라 그들은 다 헛되며 그들의 행사는 허무하며 그들이 부어 만든 우상들은 바람이요 공허한 것뿐이니라
  1. Who told of this from the beginning, so we could know, or beforehand, so we could say, 'He was right'? No one told of this, no one foretold it, no one heard any words from you.
  2. I was the first to tell Zion, 'Look, here they are!' I gave to Jerusalem a messenger of good tidings.
  3. I look but there is no one-- no one among them to give counsel, no one to give answer when I ask them.
  4. See, they are all false! Their deeds amount to nothing; their images are but wind and confusion.
