출애굽기 15:1-16:36

모세와 미리암, 그리고 이스라엘 백성들은 바로의 군대로부터 구원해 주신 하나님의 큰 능력을 찬양하였다. 마라의 쓴 물을 나뭇가지로 달게 하신 하나님께서는 자신을 '치료하시는 야웨'라고 밝히셨다. 백성들이 배고픔으로 원망하여 부르짖자 하나님께서는 메추라기와 만나로 먹이셨으며, 6일째에는 평소의 두 배 되는 만나를 거두게 하셔서 안식일을 지키도록 하셨다.
 
  승리의 노래(15:1-15:27)    
 
  1. 그때 모세와 이스라엘 백성은 여호와께 이런 노래를 불렀다. : 내가 여호와께 찬송하리라. 그가 영광스럽게 승리하셨으니 말과 마병을 바다에 던지셨음이라.
  2. 여호와는 나의 힘, 나의 노래, 나의 구원이 되셨네. 그가 나의 하나님이시니 내가 그를 찬양할 것이요, 그가 내 아버지의 하나님이시니 내가 그를 높이리라.
  3. 여호와는 용사이시니 여호와가 그의 이름이시다.
  4. 그가 바로의 전차와 군대를 바다에 던지셨으므로 그의 가장 우수한 장교들이 홍해에 잠겼으며

  1. Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD : "I will sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea.
  2. The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.
  3. The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name.
  4. Pharaoh's chariots and his army he has hurled into the sea. The best of Pharaoh's officers are drowned in the Red Sea.
  5. The deep waters have covered them; they sank to the depths like a stone.
  1. 여호와여, 주의 오른손에는 권능이 있어서 원수들을 부숴 버리셨습니다.
  2. 주는 큰 위엄으로 주를 대적하는 자들을 엎으시고 불 같은 분노를 쏟아 지푸라기처럼 그들을 소멸해 버리셨습니다.
  3. 주의 콧김에 물이 쌓여 파도가 언덕처럼 일어서고 깊은 물이 바다 가운데서 응고되었습니다.
  4. 대적들이 으스대며 내가 그들을 추격하여 따라 잡으리라. 내가 그들의 재물을 약탈하여 원하는 것을 가지리라. 내가 칼을 뽑아 그들을 멸망시키리라 하였으나
  5. 주께서 바람을 일으켜 바다가 그들을 덮으므로 그들이 납덩이처럼 깊은 물에 빠지고 말았습니다.
  1. "Your right hand, O LORD, was majestic in power. Your right hand, O LORD, shattered the enemy.
  2. In the greatness of your majesty you threw down those who opposed you. You unleashed your burning anger; it consumed them like stubble.
  3. By the blast of your nostrils the waters piled up. The surging waters stood firm like a wall; the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.
  4. "The enemy boasted, 'I will pursue, I will overtake them. I will divide the spoils; I will gorge myself on them. I will draw my sword and my hand will destroy them.'
  5. But you blew with your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.
  1. 여호와여, 신들 중에 주와 같은 자가 누구입니까? 주와 같이 거룩하여 위엄이 있고 영광스러워 두려워할 만하며 놀라운 기적을 행하는 자가 누구입니까?
  2. 주께서 오른손을 드시므로 땅이 그들을 삼켜 버렸습니다.
  3. 주께서는 구원하신 백성을 주의 자비로 인도하시고 주의 힘으로 그들을 주의 거룩한 땅으로 들어가게 하실 것입니다.
  4. 여러 민족이 듣고 떨 것이며 블레셋 사람들이 공포에 사로잡히고

  1. "Who among the gods is like you, O LORD ? Who is like you-- majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?
  2. You stretched out your right hand and the earth swallowed them.
  3. "In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.
  4. The nations will hear and tremble; anguish will grip the people of Philistia.
  5. The chiefs of Edom will be terrified, the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling, the people of Canaan will melt away;
  1. 공포와 두려움이 미치므로 그들이 주의 크신 능력을 보고 돌같이 굳어 주의 백성이 다 통과할 때까지 꼼짝하지 않을 것입니다.
  2. 주께서 주의 백성을 인도하여 그들을 주의 산에 심으실 것입니다. 여호와여, 이 곳은 주의 처소를 위해 택하신 곳이며 주의 손으로 지으신 성소입니다.
  3. 여호와여, 주는 영원히 다스리실 것입니다.
  4. 바로의 말과 전차와 마병이 함께 바다에 들어갔을 때 여호와께서 바닷물을 다시 흐르게 하여 그들을 덮어 버리셨다. 그러나 이스라엘 백성은 마른 땅을 밟고 바다를 건너왔다.

  1. terror and dread will fall upon them. By the power of your arm they will be as still as a stone-- until your people pass by, O LORD, until the people you bought pass by.
  2. You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance-- the place, O LORD, you made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, O Lord, your hands established.
  3. The LORD will reign for ever and ever."
  4. When Pharaoh's horses, chariots and horsemen went into the sea, the LORD brought the waters of the sea back over them, but the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.
  5. Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her, with tambourines and dancing.
  1. 이때 미리암이 그들에게 이렇게 노래하였다. : 여호와를 찬송하라! 그가 영광스럽게 승리하셨으니 말과 기병을 바다에 던지셨음이라.
  2. 모세는 이스라엘 백성을 홍해에서 인도해 내어 수르 광야로 들어갔다. 그들은 물 없이 3일 동안 광야로 걸어 들어가
  3. '마라'라는 곳에 이르렀는데 그 곳 물은 써서 마실 수가 없었다. 그래서 그 곳 이름을 쓰다는 뜻으로 '마라'라고 불렀다.
  4. 백성들이 모세에게 불평하며 '우리는 무엇을 마셔야 합니까?' 하고 물었다.
  5. 그때 모세가 여호와께 부르짖자 여호와께서 그에게 나무토막 하나를 보여 주셨다. 그래서 그가 그것을 물에 던져 넣었더니 쓴물이 단물이 되었다. 여호와께서는 거기서 그들이 지킬 법과 규정을 정하시고 그들을 시험하여
  1. Miriam sang to them: "Sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea."
  2. Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water.
  3. When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah. )
  4. So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, "What are we to drink?"
  5. Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the LORD made a decree and a law for them, and there he tested them.
  1. 이렇게 말씀하셨다. '너희가 만일 너희 하나님 나 여호와에게 순종하고 내가 보기에 옳은 일을 행하며 나의 모든 명령을 지키면 내가 이집트 사람들에게 내린 질병을 너희에게 하나도 내리지 않겠다. 나는 너희를 치료하는 여호와이다.'
  2. 다음으로 그들은 엘림에 이르게 되었다. 그 곳은 열 두 개의 샘과 70그루의 종려나무가 있는 곳이었다. 그들은 거기서 물가에 천막을 쳤다.
  1. He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."
  2. Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water.
 
  만나와 메추라기(16:1-16:36)    
 
  1. 이스라엘 백성은 엘림에서 떠나 엘림과 시내산 사이에 있는 신 광야에 이르렀다. 그 때는 그들이 이집트에서 나온 지 꼭 한 달째 되는 2월 15일이었다.
  2. 이스라엘 백성이 그 광야에서 모세와 아론을 원망하며
  3. 이렇게 말하였다. '우리가 이집트에서 여호와의 손에 죽었더라면 좋을 뻔했습니다. 거기서 우리는 고기와 빵을 배불리 먹을 수 있었는데 당신들이 우리를 이 광야로 끌어내어 우리가 모조리 굶어 죽게 되었습니다.'
  4. 그때 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. '내가 너희를 위하여 하늘에서 양식을 비처럼 내려 주겠다. 그러니 백성들이 매일 나가서 그날그날 필요한 양식을 거두도록 하라. 나는 이것으로 그들이 내 지시에 따르는지 따르지 않는지 시험할 것이다.
  5. 6일째 되는 날에는 매일 거두는 분량의 두 배를 거두어 예비하도록 하라'
  1. The whole Israelite community set out from Elim and came to the Desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had come out of Egypt.
  2. In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron.
  3. The Israelites said to them, "If only we had died by the LORD's hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death."
  4. Then the LORD said to Moses, "I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.
  5. On the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other days."
  1. 그래서 모세와 아론은 모든 이스라엘 백성에게 말하였다. '오늘 저녁에 여러분은 여러분을 이집트에서 인도해 내신 분이 여호와임을 알게 될 것이며
  2. 아침이 되면 여호와의 영광을 보게 될 것입니다. 여호와께서는 여러분이 불평하는 소리를 들으셨습니다. 우리가 누군데 여러분이 우리를 원망하십니까?'
  3. 그리고 모세는 다시 이렇게 말하였다. '여호와께서 저녁에는 여러분에게 고기를 주어 먹게 하시고 아침에는 빵을 실컷 먹게 하실 것입니다. 이것은 여호와께서 여러분이 불평하는 소리를 들으셨기 때문입니다. 우리가 누구입니까? 여러분이 불평을 하면 그것은 우리에게 대한 불평이 아니라 여호와께 대한 불평입니다.'

  1. So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites, "In the evening you will know that it was the LORD who brought you out of Egypt,
  2. and in the morning you will see the glory of the LORD, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we, that you should grumble against us?"
  3. Moses also said, "You will know that it was the LORD when he gives you meat to eat in the evening and all the bread you want in the morning, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we? You are not grumbling against us, but against the LORD."
  4. Then Moses told Aaron, "Say to the entire Israelite community, 'Come before the LORD, for he has heard your grumbling.' "
  5. While Aaron was speaking to the whole Israelite community, they looked toward the desert, and there was the glory of the LORD appearing in the cloud.
  1. 그때 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. '나는 이스라엘 백성이 불평하는 소리를 들었다. 너는 그들에게 내가 이렇게 말한다고 일러 주어라. 너희가 해 질 때에는 고기를 먹고 아침에는 빵을 배불리 먹을 것이다. 그때 너희는 내가 너희 하나님 여호와임을 알게 될 것이다.'
  3. 저녁에는 메추라기가 날아와서 야영지를 덮었고 아침에는 야영지 주변에 이슬이 내려 있었다.
  4. 그 이슬이 말랐을 때 광야 지면에 작고 둥글며 흰 서리 같은 것이 있었다.
  5. 이스라엘 백성은 그것을 보고 무엇인지 몰라서 '이것이 무엇이냐?' 하고 서로 물었다. 그때 모세가 그들에게 말하였다. '이것은 여호와께서 여러분에게 먹으라고 주신 양식입니다.
  1. The LORD said to Moses,
  2. "I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, 'At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God.' "
  3. That evening quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp.
  4. When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor.
  5. When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, "It is the bread the LORD has given you to eat.
  1. 여호와께서는 여러분의 필요에 따라 가족수대로 한 사람 앞에 약 2리터씩 거두라고 명령하셨습니다.'
  2. 그래서 이스라엘 백성들은 그것을 거뒀는데 많이 거둔 사람도 있고 적게 거둔 사람도 있었다.
  3. 그들이 거둔 것을 되어 보니 많이 거둔 사람도 남은 것이 없었고 적게 거둔 사람도 부족함이 없이 각자 필요한 만큼 거두었다.
  4. 모세는 그들에게 아무도 그것을 아침까지 남겨 두지 말라고 하였으나
  5. 어떤 사람들은 모세의 말을 듣지 않고 그것을 아침까지 남겨 두었다. 그러나 다음 날 아침에 보니 벌레가 생기고 냄새가 났다. 그래서 모세가 그들에게 분노하였다.
  1. This is what the LORD has commanded: 'Each one is to gather as much as he needs. Take an omer for each person you have in your tent.' "
  2. The Israelites did as they were told; some gathered much, some little.
  3. And when they measured it by the omer, he who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little. Each one gathered as much as he needed.
  4. Then Moses said to them, "No one is to keep any of it until morning."
  5. However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them.
  1. 백성들은 아침마다 자기들이 필요한 만큼 거두었으며 해가 뜨겁게 쪼이면 그것은 녹아 버렸다.
  2. 6일째 되는 날에는 각자 평일의 두 배인 4리터씩 거두고 백성의 모든 지도자들이 모세에게 와서 그것을 보고하였다.
  3. 그때 모세가 그들에게 말하였다. '여호와께서는 내일이 쉬는 날이며 여호와께 거룩한 안식일이므로 구울 것은 굽고 삶을 것은 삶고 그 나머지는 내일 아침까지 간수하라고 명령하셨습니다.'
  4. 그래서 그들은 모세의 명령대로 아침까지 그것을 간수하였으나 냄새도 나지 않고 벌레도 생기지 않았다.
  5. 그때 모세가 말하였다. '여러분은 오늘 그것을 먹으십시오. 오늘은 여호와께 바쳐진 안식일이므로 여러분이 그것을 지면에서 얻지 못할 것입니다.
  1. Each morning everyone gathered as much as he needed, and when the sun grew hot, it melted away.
  2. On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much--two omers for each person--and the leaders of the community came and reported this to Moses.
  3. He said to them, "This is what the LORD commanded: 'Tomorrow is to be a day of rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD. So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and keep it until morning.' "
  4. So they saved it until morning, as Moses commanded, and it did not stink or get maggots in it.
  5. "Eat it today," Moses said, "because today is a Sabbath to the LORD. You will not find any of it on the ground today.
  1. 여러분이 그것을 6일 동안은 거두겠지만 7일째 되는 안식일에는 없을 것입니다.'
  2. 7일째 되는 날에도 어떤 사람들은 그것을 거두러 나갔으나 얻지 못하였다.
  3. 그때 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. '너희가 언제까지 내 명령과 지시에 순종하지 않을 작정이냐?
  4. 나 여호와가 너희에게 안식일을 주었으니 6일째 되는 날에는 이틀 먹을 양식을 주겠다. 그러므로 7일째 되는 날에는 아무도 밖으로 나가지 말고 자기 천막 안에 머물러 있거라'
  5. 그래서 백성들은 7일째 되는 날에 편히 쉬었다.
  1. Six days you are to gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any."
  2. Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none.
  3. Then the LORD said to Moses, "How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions?
  4. Bear in mind that the LORD has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where he is on the seventh day; no one is to go out."
  5. So the people rested on the seventh day.
  1. 이스라엘 백성은 그 이름을 '만나' 라고 불렀다. 그것은 고수 씨처럼 희고 맛은 꿀 섞은 과자 같았다.
  2. 그때 모세는 백성들에게 여호와의 명령을 이렇게 전하였다. '너희는 만나를 2리터 정도 보관해 두었다가 내가 너희를 이집트에서 인도해 낼 때에 광야에서 너희에게 주어 먹게 한 이 양식을 너희 후손들이 대대로 볼 수 있게 하여라'
  3. 그리고 모세는 아론에게 항아리를 가져다가 그 속에 만나 약 2리터를 담아 여호와 앞에 두어 대대로 간수하라고 하였다.
  4. 그래서 아론은 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 했는데 후에 이 만나 항아리는 성막의 법궤 안에 보관되었다.
  5. 이렇게 해서 이스라엘 백성은 그들이 정착할 가나안 땅에 이를 때까지 40년 동안 만나를 먹었다.
  1. The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey.
  2. Moses said, "This is what the LORD has commanded: 'Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the desert when I brought you out of Egypt.' "
  3. So Moses said to Aaron, "Take a jar and put an omer of manna in it. Then place it before the LORD to be kept for the generations to come."
  4. As the LORD commanded Moses, Aaron put the manna in front of the Testimony, that it might be kept.
  5. The Israelites ate manna forty years, until they came to a land that was settled; they ate manna until they reached the border of Canaan.
  1. 그리고 그들이 만나를 되는 데 사용한 되는 약 2리터들이의 용기였다.
  1. (An omer is one tenth of an ephah.)
