- 내 아들아, 나의 가르침을 잊지 말고 내 명령을 정성껏 지켜라.
- 그러면 네가 장수하고 평안을 누릴 것이다.
- 너는 사랑과 성실이 너를 떠나지 않게 하며 그것을 네 목에 매고 네 마음에 새겨라.
- 그러면 네가 하나님과 사람 앞에서 사랑과 신망을 얻을 것이다.
- 너는 마음을 다하여 여호와를 신뢰하고 네 지식을 의지하지 말아라.

- My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
- For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
- Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
- So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
- Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

- 너는 모든 일에 여호와를 인정하라. 그러면 그가 너에게 바른 길을 보이실 것이다.
- 스스로 지혜롭다고 생각하지 말아라. 너는 여호와를 두려워하고 악을 피하라.
- 이것이 너에게 좋은 약이 되어 너의 몸과 마음을 건강하게 할 것이다.
- 네 재산과 네 모든 농산물의 첫열매로 여호와를 공경하라.
- 그러면 네 창고가 가득 차고 포도주통에 새 포도주가 넘칠 것이다.

- In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
- Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
- It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
- Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
- So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
