- 내 아들아, 건전한 지혜와 분별력을 잘 간직하고 그것이 네게서 떠나지 않게 하라.
- 그러면 그것이 네 영혼의 생명이 되고 네 삶을 아름답게 장식할 것이니
- 네가 네 길을 안전하게 갈 수 있고 발이 걸려 넘어지는 일도 없을 것이며
- 잠자리에 들 때 두려워하지 않고 단잠을 잘 수 있을 것이다.
- 너는 갑자기 밀어닥친 재앙이나 악인들의 멸망이 이를 때 두려워하지 말아라.

- My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
- So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
- Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
- When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
- Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
