에스겔 21:1-22:22

하나님께서는 칼의 비유로써 바벨론을 통한 유다의 심판을 예고하셨다. 심판의 도구가 되는 바벨론 왕은 점친 결과에 따라 먼저 예루살렘을 공격한 후 암몬을 침공하게 되었다. 또한 하나님께서는 유다가 심판받는 원인이 그들의 범죄에 있음을 밝히시고 그들을 준엄히 심판함으로써 정화시키실 것임을 예고하셨다.
 
  하나님의 심판의 칼(21:1-21:32)    
 
  1. 여호와께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. '사람의 아들아, 너는 예루살렘을 바라보고 성소를 향해 외치며 이스라엘 땅에 대하여 나 여호와가 이렇게 말한다고 예언하라. '내가 너를 대적하고 칼을 뽑아 네 가운데서 의로운 자와 악한 자를 모두 죽여 버리겠다.
  3. (2절과 같음)
  4. 내가 칼을 뽑아 남에서 북까지 모든 사람을 치겠다.
  5. 온 세상이 나 여호와가 그 칼을 뽑은 줄 알 것이며 그 칼은 다시 칼집에 꽂히지 않을 것이다.'
  1. And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
  2. Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
  3. And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
  4. Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:
  5. That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more.
  1. 사람의 아들아, 너는 탄식하라. 그들이 보는 데서 가슴이 찢어질 듯한 슬픔으로 탄식하라.
  2. 그들이 너에게 '당신은 어째서 탄식하시오?' 하고 묻거든 너는 이렇게 대답하라. '내가 이렇게 하는 것은 들려오는 소문 때문이오. 재앙이 닥치면 무서워서 사람들의 마음이 녹을 것이며 모든 사람들의 손에 맥이 풀리고 그들의 기력이 쇠하며 모든 사람의 무릎이 물처럼 약해질 것이오.' '보라, 재앙이 다가오고 있다. 내 말은 반드시 이루어질 것이다. 이것은 나 주 여호와의 말이다.'
  3. 여호와께서 다시 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  4. '사람의 아들아, 너는 예언하라. 나 여호와가 이렇게 말한다고 백성들에게 전하라. '칼! 칼! 칼이 날카롭게 번쩍이는구나!
  5. 그 칼이 날카로운 것은 죽이기 위한 것이며 광택이 나서 빛나는 것은 번개처럼 번쩍이기 위한 것이다. 내 백성이 경고와 조언을 무시하니 즐거움이 없구나.
  1. Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of thy loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.
  2. And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.
  3. Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
  4. Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished:
  5. It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, as every tree.
  1. 그 칼이 쓰기에 좋도록 잘 갈리고 닦아져서 살육자의 손에 들어가려고 날카롭게 번쩍거린다.'
  2. 사람의 아들아, 너는 부르짖고 통곡하라. 이것은 내 백성을 칠 칼이며 이스라엘의 지도자들을 칠 칼이다. 그들과 내 백성은 모두 칼날에 죽을 것이다. 그러므로 너는 가슴을 치고 슬퍼하여라.
  3. 내가 내 백성을 시험하겠다. 만일 그들이 회개하지 않으면 이 모든 일이 그들에게 일어날 것이다. 이것은 나 주 여호와의 말이다.
  4. 그러므로 사람의 아들아, 너는 예언하라. 너는 손뼉을 힘 있게 치고 칼을 두세 번 휘둘러라. 이것은 죽이는 칼이며 대량 학살을 위한 칼이다.
  5. 이 칼이 많은 사람들을 낙담하게 하고 엎드러지게 할 것이다. 그래서 내가 성문마다 번쩍번쩍하는 칼을 두었다. 그것이 번개처럼 번쩍거리며 죽일 준비를 하고 있다.
  1. And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.
  2. Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon thy thigh.
  3. Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, saith the Lord GOD.
  4. Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together. and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that are slain, which entereth into their privy chambers.
  5. I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter.
  1. 칼아, 우측을 치고 좌측을 쳐라. 네 칼날이 향하는 대로 쳐라.
  2. 나도 손뼉을 치며 분풀이하겠다. 이것은 나 여호와의 말이다.'
  3. 여호와께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  4. '사람의 아들아, 너는 바빌로니아 왕의 칼이 들어올 두 길을 표시하라. 그 두 길은 출발점이 한 곳이 되게 하고 성으로 들어가는 갈림길에는 표지판을 세워라.
  5. 한 길은 칼이 암몬 사람들의 랍바성으로 가는 길을 표시하고 다른 한 길은 예루살렘으로 가는 길을 표시해야 한다.
  1. Go thee one way or other, either on the right hand, or on the left, whithersoever thy face is set.
  2. I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the LORD have said it.
  3. The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,
  4. Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city.
  5. Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced.
  1. 바빌로니아 왕이 그 갈림길에 이르러 어느 길로 갈 것인지 화살통의 화살을 흔들어 점을 칠 것이다. 그는 또 자기 우상들에게 물어 보고 제물로 바친 짐승의 간을 조사하여
  2. 그의 오른손에 예루살렘으로 가는 점괘를 얻을 것이다. 그는 함성을 지르고 성문을 향해 공성퇴를 세우고 토성을 쌓고 공성 보루를 세울 것이다.
  3. 전에 그에게 충성할 것을 맹세한 자들은 그 점을 엉터리 점으로 생각할 것이나 그는 그들의 죄를 상기시켜 주고 그들을 사로잡아갈 것이다.
  4. 그러므로 나 주 여호와가 말한다. 너희 죄가 드러나서 모든 사람이 너희 죄악을 알게 되었다. 너희가 모든 행위에서 너희 죄를 드러내 너희를 기억하도록 하였으니 내가 너희를 너희 원수들에게 사로잡혀가게 될 것이다.
  5. 너 악하고 추한 이스라엘 왕아, 너의 날이 이르렀으니 네가 멸망할 형벌의 날이 다가왔다.
  1. For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver.
  2. At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort.
  3. And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.
  4. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.
  5. And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end,
  1. 나 주 여호와가 말한다. 너의 왕관을 벗고 두건을 풀어라. 아무것도 그대로 있지 않을 것이다. 낮은 자는 높아질 것이며 높은 자는 낮아질 것이다.
  2. 파멸이다! 파멸! 내가 이스라엘의 왕권을 무너뜨리겠다. 이것을 당연히 소유할 자가 오면 내가 이 왕관을 그에게 줄 것이나 그때까지는 이것을 가질 자가 없을 것이다.
  3. 사람의 아들아, 너는 나 주 여호와가 이스라엘을 모욕한 암몬에 대하여 이렇게 말한다고 예언하라. '칼, 칼이 뽑혔다. 살육하며 전멸시키려고 그 칼이 잘 마광되어 번개처럼 번쩍이는구나.
  4. 네가 본 환상도 거짓되고 네가 말한 점도 거짓말이다. 네가 아주 악하여 너의 날, 곧 네가 멸망할 형벌의 날이 다가왔다. 그러므로 칼이 네 목에 떨어질 것이다.
  5. 너는 네 칼을 칼집에 꽂아라. 네가 만들어지고 네가 태어난 땅에서 내가 너를 심판하겠다.
  1. Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high.
  2. I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.
  3. And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering:
  4. Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lie unto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of them that are slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity shall have an end.
  5. Shall I cause it to return into his sheath? I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity.
  1. 내가 내 진노를 너에게 쏟고 나의 무서운 분노의 불을 너에게 내뿜으며 파멸시키는 데 능숙한 잔인한 폭군에게 너를 넘겨 주겠다.
  2. 너는 불쏘시개가 되고 네 피는 너의 땅이 쏟아질 것이니 너를 기억하는 자가 다시는 없을 것이다. 이것은 나 여호와의 말이다.'
  1. And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy.
  2. Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the LORD have spoken it.
 
  예루살렘의 죄악상(22:1-22:22)    
 
  1. 여호와께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. '사람의 아들아, 살인범이 득실거리는 이 성을 네가 심문하겠느냐? 그렇다면 이 성이 행한 모든 더러운 일을 알게 하라.
  3. 너는 이 성에 나 주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다고 일러 주어라. '많은 사람을 죽이고 우상을 섬김으로 네 자신을 더럽힌 성아,
  4. 네가 살인하여 죄를 짓고 우상을 섬겨 자신을 더럽혔으므로 네 날이 가까왔고 네 때가 다 되었다. 그래서 내가 너를 이방 나라의 조롱거리가 되게 하고 온 세상의 웃음거리가 되게 하겠다.
  5. 악명 높고 혼란한 도시야, 원근 각처에 있는 자들이 다 너를 조롱할 것이다.
  1. Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
  2. Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.
  3. Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.
  4. Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.
  5. Those that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.
  1. 네 가운데 있는 이스라엘 지도자들은 모두 자기 권력을 남용하여 사람을 죽였다.
  2. 그들은 부모를 업신여기고 나그네를 학대하며 고아와 과부에게 피해를 주었다.
  3. 너는 나의 거룩한 것을 업신여기고 나의 안식일을 더럽혔으며
  4. 또 네 가운데는 남을 죽이려고 중상하는 사람도 있고 산 위의 우상 신전에서 우상의 제물을 먹는 자도 있으며 음란한 짓을 하는 자도 있고
  5. 자기 아버지의 침상을 더럽힌 자도 있으며 월경 중에 있는 여인을 강간하는 자도 있다.
  1. Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.
  2. In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.
  3. Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.
  4. In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.
  5. In thee have they discovered their fathers' nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.
  1. 그리고 네 가운데 어떤 사람은 자기 이웃의 아내와 간음하고 또 어떤 사람은 자기 며느리를 더럽히고 또 어떤 사람은 자기 이복 여동생을 더럽혔다.
  2. 그뿐만 아니라 네 가운데는 사람을 죽이려고 뇌물을 받은 자도 있으며 이자를 받아 이익을 남기고 자기 이웃을 착취한 자도 있으니 그들은 다 나를 잊어버렸다. 이것은 나 주 여호와의 말이다.
  3. 네 가운데 부당한 이득을 얻은 자들과 살인자들을 내가 주먹으로 치겠다.
  4. 내가 너를 심판하는 날에 네 마음이 견디겠느냐? 네 손에 힘이 있겠느냐? 나 여호와가 말하였으니 내가 반드시 이룰 것이다.
  5. 내가 네 백성을 온 세계에 흩어 버리고 너에게서 더러운 것을 완전히 제거하겠다.
  1. And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter.
  2. In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD.
  3. Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.
  4. Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.
  5. And I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee.
  1. 온 세상이 보는 데서 네가 수치를 당할 것이니 네가 나를 여호와인 줄 알 것이다.'
  2. 여호와께서 다시 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  3. '사람의 아들아, 이스라엘 백성은 나에게 찌꺼기처럼 되었다. 그들은 용광로 속에 있는 구리나 주석이나 철이나 납과 같아서 은을 제거한 찌꺼기에 불과하다.
  4. 그러므로 나 주 여호와가 말한다. 그들이 다 찌꺼기처럼 쓸모없는 자들이 되었으므로 내가 그들을 예루살렘에 모아
  5. 사람들이 은이나 구리나 철이나 납이나 주석을 용광로에 넣고 불로 녹이는 것처럼 나의 분노로 그들을 모아 그 성에 집어 넣고 녹여 버릴 것이다.
  1. And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
  2. And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
  3. Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.
  4. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.
  5. As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.
  1. 내가 그들을 예루살렘에 모으고 내 분노의 불을 그들에게 내뿜으면
  2. 그들은 은이 용광로에서 녹는 것처럼 거기서 녹을 것이다. 그러면 그들은 나 여호와가 분노를 그들 위에 쏟은 것을 알게 될 것이다.'
  1. Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst therof.
  2. As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.
