	민수기 10:1-11:23 하나님께서는 가나안 대장정 행군에 필수적인 은나팔 신호 약속을 제정하셨다. 이스라엘 백성들은 시내 산을 떠나 진영의 순서에 따라 가나안을 향해 출발하였다. 호밥이 광야의 길 안내자로 선정되었다. 이스라엘 백성들은 광야 생활 동안 고기를 먹고 싶은 탐욕으로 모세에게 불평하여 하나님의 진노를 샀다.

	이스라엘의 진행(10:1-10:36)

여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.

'너는 은을 두들겨 나팔 두 개를 만들고 그것을 불어 백성을 소집하며 행진하게 하여라.

나팔들을 길게 불면 모든 백성이 성막 입구 네 앞에 모이게 하고

나팔을 하나만 불면 각 집안의 대표자들만 모이게 하라.

나팔을 짧게 불면 동쪽에 진을 친 지파들이 행진하고

The LORD spoke further to Moses, saying,

"Make yourself two trumpets of silver, of hammered work you shall make them; and you shall use them for summoning the congregation and for having the camps set out.

"When both are blown, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the doorway of the tent of meeting.

"Yet if only one is blown, then the leaders, the heads of the divisions of Israel, shall assemble before you.

"But when you blow an alarm, the camps that are pitched on the east side shall set out.

다시 짧게 불면 남쪽에 진을 친 지파들이 행진하게 하여라. 이와 같이 행진 신호는 나팔을 짧게 불고

소집 신호는 길게 불도록 하라.

나팔은 아론의 자손인 제사장들만 불어야 한다. 이것은 너희가 대대로 지켜야 할 규정이다.

너희가 약속의 땅에 도착하여 너희를 대적하는 원수들과 싸우러 나갈 때에 나팔을 불어라. 그러면 너희 하나님 나 여호와가 너희를 기억하고 너희를 원수들에게서 구원해 주겠다.

또 기쁜 날과 명절과 매월 초하루에 번제물과 화목 제물을 드릴 때에도 나팔을 불어라. 그러면 내가 너희를 기억할 것이다. 나는 너희 하나님 여호와이다.'

"When you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that are pitched on the south side shall set out; an alarm is to be blown for them to set out.

"When convening the assembly, however, you shall blow without sounding an alarm.

"The priestly sons of Aaron, moreover, shall blow the trumpets; and this shall be for you a perpetual statute throughout your generations.

"When you go to war in your land against the adversary who attacks you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be remembered before the LORD your God, and be saved from your enemies.

"Also in the day of your gladness and in your appointed feasts, and on the first days of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be as a reminder of you before your God. I am the LORD your God."

이스라엘 백성이 이집트를 떠나온 지 2년째가 되는 해 2월 20일에 구름이 성막에서 떠오르자

그들은 시나이 광야에서 출발하여 그 구름이 바란 광야에 멈출 때까지 구름을 따라 행진하였다.

이것은 여호와께서 모세에게 행진 명령을 내린 후 첫번째 행진이었는데

이 행렬 선두에는 유다 지파 진영에 속한 자들이 기를 앞세우고 암미나답의 아들 나손이 인솔하는 유다 지파와

수알의 아들 느다넬이 인솔하는 잇사갈 지파와

Now in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth of the month, the cloud was lifted from over the tabernacle of the testimony;

and the sons of Israel set out on their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai Then the cloud settled down in the wilderness of Paran.

So they moved out for the first time according to the commandment of the LORD through Moses.

The standard of the camp of the sons of Judah, according to their armies, set out first, with Nahshon the son of Amminadab, over its army,

and Nethanel the son of Zuar, over the tribal army of the sons of Issachar;

헬론의 아들 엘리압이 인솔하는 스불론 지파가 순서대로 행진하였다.

그리고 나서 성막이 걷혀지고 게르손 자손과 므라리 자손이 성막을 메고 그 뒤를 따라 출발하였다.

그 뒤에는 르우벤 지파 진영에 속한 자들이 기를 앞 세우고 스데울의 아들 엘리술이 인솔하는 르우벤 지파와

수리삿대의 아들 슬무미엘이 인솔하는 시므온 지파와

드우엘의 아들 엘리아삽이 인솔하는 갓 지파가 순서대로 행진하였다.

and Eliab the son of Helon over the tribal army of the sons of Zebulun.

Then the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who were carrying the tabernacle, set out.

Next the standard of the camp of Reuben, according to their armies, set out with Elizur the son of Shedeur, over its army,

and Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai over the tribal army of the sons of Simeon,

and Eliasaph the son of Deuel was over the tribal army of the sons of Gad.

그 뒤에는 고핫 자손이 성막의 거룩한 기구들을 메고 행진하였으며 이들이 다음 진영에 도착하기 전에 성막이 세워졌다.

그 다음은 에브라임 지파 진영에 속한 자들이 기를 앞세우고 암미훗의 아들 엘리사마가 인솔하는 에브라임 지파와

브다술의 아들 가말리엘이 인솔하는 므낫세 지파와

기드오니의 아들 아비단이 인솔하는 베냐민 지파가 순서대로 행진하였다.

그리고 제일 뒤에는 단 지파 진영에 속한 자들이 기를 앞세우고 암미삿대의 아들 아히에셀이 인솔하는 단 지파와

Then the Kohathites set out, carrying the holy objects; and the tabernacle was set up before their arrival.

Next the standard of the camp of the sons of Ephraim, according to their armies, was set out, with Elishama the son of Ammihud over its army,

and Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur over the tribal army of the sons of Manasseh;

and Abidan the son of Gideoni over the tribal army of the sons of Benjamin.

Then the standard of the camp of the sons of Dan, according to their armies, which formed the rear guard for all the camps, set out, with Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai over its army,

오그란의 아들 바기엘이 인솔하는 아셀 지파와

에난의 아들 아히라가 인솔하는 납달리 지파가 순서대로 행진하였다.

이상은 이스라엘 각 지파가 진영별로 행진한 대열의 순서이다.

어느 날 모세는 미디안 사람 이드로의 아들인 그의 처남 호밥에게 말하였다. '지금 우리는 약속의 땅으로 가고 있으니 처남도 함께 가세. 우리가 자네를 잘 돌봐 주겠네. 여호와께서는 이스라엘 백성에게 복을 주시겠다고 약속하셨다네'

'아니오, 가지 않겠습니다. 나는 친척들이 있는 고향으로 돌아가야 합니다.'

and Pagiel the son of Ochran over the tribal army of the sons of Asher;

and Ahira the son of Enan over the tribal army of the sons of Naphtali.

This was the order of march of the sons of Israel by their armies as they set out.

Then Moses said to Hobab the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, "We are setting out to the place of which the LORD said, 'I will give it to you'; come with us and we will do you good, for the LORD has promised good concerning Israel."

But he said to him, "I will not come, but rather will go to my own land and relatives."

'그러지 말고 함께 가세. 처남은 이 광야 길을 잘 알고 있으니 우리의 좋은 안내자가 될 걸세.

만일 처남이 우리와 함께 가면 여호와께서 우리에게 주시는 모든 좋은 것을 처남도 함께 누리게 될 것이네'

이스라엘 백성은 시내산을 떠나 3일 동안 행진하면서 법궤를 앞세우고 진 칠 곳을 찾았는데

그들이 행진할 때 낮에는 여호와의 구름이 그들 위에 있었다.

모세는 법궤가 떠날 때마다 '여호와여, 일어나셔서 주의 원수들을 흩으시고 주를 미워하는 자들이 주 앞에서 도망하게 하소서.' 하고 외쳤으며

Then he said, "Please do not leave us, inasmuch as you know where we should camp in the wilderness, and you will be as eyes for us.

"So it will be, if you go with us, that whatever good the LORD does for us, we will do for you."

Thus they set out from the mount of the LORD three days' journey, with the ark of the covenant of the LORD journeying in front of them for the three days, to seek out a resting place for them.

The cloud of the LORD was over them by day when they set out from the camp.

Then it came about when the ark set out that Moses said, "Rise up, O LORD! And let Your enemies be scattered, And let those who hate You flee before You."

법궤가 멈출 때마다 '오! 여호와여, 수백만의 이스라엘 백성에게 돌아오소서.' 하였다.

When it came to rest, he said, "Return, O LORD, To the myriad thousands of Israel."

	백성들의 불평(11:1-11:23)

백성들이 고생스럽다고 불평하자 여호와께서 그들이 불평하는 소리를 들으시고 분노하셔서 그들에게 불을 내려 진영 한쪽 끝을 태우기 시작하셨다.

그러자 백성들이 살려 달라고 모세에게 부르짖었다. 그래서 모세가 여호와께 기도하자 그 불이 꺼졌다.

그러므로 그 곳 이름을 '다베라'로 불렀다. 이것은 여호와의 불이 그들 가운데 붙었기 때문이었다.

이스라엘 백성 가운데 섞여 있는 외국인들이 과거에 먹었던 좋은 음식들을 들먹이자 이스라엘 백성이 다시 울며 '고기 좀 먹어 봤으면! 우리가 이집트에서는 생선, 오이. 참외. 부추, 파, 마늘을 마음대로 먹을 수 있었는데!

Now the people became like those who complain of adversity in the hearing of the LORD; and when the LORD heard it, His anger was kindled, and the fire of the LORD burned among them and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp.

The people therefore cried out to Moses, and Moses prayed to the LORD and the fire died out.

So the name of that place was called Taberah, because the fire of the LORD burned among them.

The rabble who were among them had greedy desires; and also the sons of Israel wept again and said, "Who will give us meat to eat?

"We remember the fish which we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garlic,

지금은 우리가 입맛을 잃었어도 만나밖에는 먹을 것이 없구나!' 하고 불평하였다.

만나는 크기가 고수 씨만 하고 모양은 마치 나무에서 나는 투명한 진액 방울 같았다.

이스라엘 백성은 돌아다니며 그것을 거두어 맷돌에 갈거나 절구에 넣고 빻아서 쪄서 먹기도 하고 과자를 만들어 먹기도 했는데 그 맛은 기름에 튀긴 과자 맛이었다.

이 만나는 밤에 이슬과 함께 진영에 내렸다.

모세는 모든 백성이 자기들의 천막 문에서 우는 소리를 들었다. 여호와께서 몹시 노하시므로 모세가 괴로와하다가

but now our appetite is gone. There is nothing at all to look at except this manna."

Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its appearance like that of bdellium.

The people would go about and gather it and grind it between two millstones or beat it in the mortar, and boil it in the pot and make cakes with it; and its taste was as the taste of cakes baked with oil.

When the dew fell on the camp at night, the manna would fall with it.

Now Moses heard the people weeping throughout their families, each man at the doorway of his tent; and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly, and Moses was displeased.

여호와께 이렇게 말하였다. '어째서 주의 종에게 이런 괴로움을 주십니까? 어째서 내가 주 앞에서 은혜를 입게 하지 않으시고 이 백성의 짐을 나에게 지우셨습니까?

그들이 나의 자녀들입니까? 내가 그들의 아버지라도 됩니까? 어째서 나에게 유모가 젖 먹는 아기를 품듯 이 백성을 품고 그들 조상들에게 약속하신 땅으로 들어가라고 하십니까?

이 모든 백성이 먹을 고기를 내가 어디서 구할 수 있겠습니까? 그들은 지금 울면서 고기를 달라고 아우성치고 있습니다.

이 백성에 대한 책임이 너무 무거워 나 혼자서는 이들을 데리고 갈 수 없습니다.

주께서 나를 이렇게 대하시려거든 차라리 나를 죽여 나의 이 비참한 모습을 보지 않게 해 주십시오. 이것이 나에게 은혜를 베푸시는 길입니다!'

So Moses said to the LORD, "Why have You been so hard on Your servant? And why have I not found favor in Your sight, that You have laid the burden of all this people on me?

"Was it I who conceived all this people? Was it I who brought them forth, that You should say to me, 'Carry them in your bosom as a nurse carries a nursing infant, to the land which You swore to their fathers'?

"Where am I to get meat to give to all this people? For they weep before me, saying, 'Give us meat that we may eat!'

"I alone am not able to carry all this people, because it is too burdensome for me.

"So if You are going to deal thus with me, please kill me at once, if I have found favor in Your sight, and do not let me see my wretchedness."

그러자 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. '너는 존경받는 백성의 지도자 70명을 성막으로 소집하여 너와 함께 서게 하라.

내가 내려가 거기서 너와 말하고 너에게 있는 내 영을 그들에게도 주어 그들이 너를 도와 백성에 대한 책임을 함께 지도록 하겠다. 그러면 너 혼자 책임을 질 필요가 없을 것이다.

그리고 너는 백성에게 이렇게 말하라. 여러분은 자신을 정결하게 하여 내일 고기 먹을 준비를 하십시오. 여호와께서는 여러분이 이집트에서 고기 먹던 시절을 생각하며 투덜거리는 소리를 들으셨습니다. 그러므로 여호와께서 여러분에게 고기를 주어 먹게 하실 것입니다.

여러분은 그 고기를 하루나 이틀이나 닷새나 열흘이나 스무날 동안만 아니라

한 달 내내 신물이 나도록 먹을 것입니다. 여러분은 여러분 가운데 계신 여호와를 거절하고 이집트에서 나온 것을 후회하고 있습니다.'

The LORD therefore said to Moses, "Gather for Me seventy men from the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and their officers and bring them to the tent of meeting, and let them take their stand there with you.

"Then I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take of the Spirit who is upon you, and will put Him upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you will not bear it all alone.

"Say to the people, 'Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat; for you have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, "Oh that someone would give us meat to eat! For we were well-off in Egypt." Therefore the LORD will give you meat and you shall eat.

'You shall eat, not one day, nor two days, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days,

but a whole month, until it comes out of your nostrils and becomes loathsome to you; because you have rejected the LORD who is among you and have wept before Him, saying, "Why did we ever leave Egypt?"'"

그러나 모세는 이렇게 말하였다. '내가 인도하는 백성이 여자와 아이들을 제외하고도 60만 명이나 되는데 어떻게 그 많은 사람들이 한 달 동안 먹을 고기를 주시겠다고 말씀하십니까?

그렇게 하려면 우리가 가지고 있는 양떼와 소떼를 다 잡고 바다의 모든 고기를 잡아도 부족할 것입니다!'

그때 여호와께서 모세에게 '내가 할 수 없는 일이 있느냐? 너는 내 말대로 되는지 안 되는지 보게 될 것이다.' 하고 말씀하셨다.

But Moses said, "The people, among whom I am, are 600,000 on foot; yet You have said, 'I will give them meat, so that they may eat for a whole month.'

"Should flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to be sufficient for them? Or should all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to be sufficient for them?"

The LORD said to Moses, "Is the LORD'S power limited? Now you shall see whether My word will come true for you or not."
