신명기 15:1-16:22

 모세는 이스라엘 백성에게 매7년마다 돌아오는 안식년에 지킬 규례에 대해서 언급한 후, 가난한 자들을 적극적으로 구제할 것을 권면했다. 그리고 이스라엘의 3대 절기인 유월절, 칠칠절, 초막절을 지킬 것과 공정한 재판을 위해 재판장과 유사를 세울 것을 명령했다.
  
  안식년에 대한 규례(15:1-15:23)    
 
  1. '여러분은 7년마다 그 해 연말에 여러분이 받을 빚을 다 면제해 주십시오.
  2. 그 면제의 규정은 다음과 같습니다. 자기 동족에게 돈을 빌려 준 사람은 그 빚을 면제해 주고 그것을 억지로 받으려고 독촉하지 마십시오. 여호와께서는 이 해가 되면 모든 빚이 면제된다고 선언하셨습니다.
  3. 여러분이 외국인에게는 빚을 갚으라고 독촉할 수 있습니다. 그러나 여러분의 동족에게는 그 빚을 면제해 주어야 합니다.
  4. 여러분이 만일 여러분의 하나님 여호와께 순종하고 내가 오늘 여러분에게 명령하는 이 모든 것을 충실히 지키기만 하면 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 여러분에게 주신 땅에서 여러분이 복을 받아 여러분 중에 가난한 자가 하나도 없을 것입니다.
  5. (4절과 같음)
  1. At the end of every seven years you must cancel debts.
  2. This is how it is to be done: Every creditor shall cancel the loan he has made to his fellow Israelite. He shall not require payment from his fellow Israelite or brother, because the LORD's time for canceling debts has been proclaimed.
  3. You may require payment from a foreigner, but you must cancel any debt your brother owes you.
  4. However, there should be no poor among you, for in the land the LORD your God is giving you to possess as your inheritance, he will richly bless you,
  5. if only you fully obey the LORD your God and are careful to follow all these commands I am giving you today.
  1. 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 약속하신 대로 여러분에게 복을 주셔서 여러분이 많은 나라에 돈을 빌려 주기는 해도 빌리지는 않을 것이며 여러분이 여러 나라를 통치하는 일은 있어도 지배받는 일은 없을 것입니다.
  2. 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 여러분에게 주신 땅의 어느 성에서든지 여러분 가운데 가난한 사람이 있으면 그를 너무 인색하게 대하지 말고
  3. 그에게 필요한 것을 빌려 주십시오.
  4. 빚이 면제되는 해가 가까왔다고 해서 악한 마음을 품고 가난한 사람에게 빌려 주는 것을 거절하지 마십시오. 여러분이 만일 몰인정하게 아무것도 빌려 주지 않으면 그가 여러분에 대하여 여호와께 호소할 것이며 그것이 여러분에게 죄가 될 것입니다.
  5. 여러분은 아낌없이 도와 주고 인색한 마음을 품지 마십시오. 그러면 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 여러분이 하는 모든 일에 복을 주실 것입니다.
  1. For the LORD your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you.
  2. If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother.
  3. Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs.
  4. Be careful not to harbor this wicked thought: "The seventh year, the year for canceling debts, is near," so that you do not show ill will toward your needy brother and give him nothing. He may then appeal to the LORD against you, and you will be found guilty of sin.
  5. Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.
  1. 여러분 중에는 언제나 가난한 사람이 있기 마련입니다. 그래서 내가 여러분에게 가난한 사람을 아낌없이 도와주라고 명령하는 것입니다.
  2. 만일 여러분의 동족이 남자든 여자든 종으로 팔려와서 6년 동안 여러분을 섬기면 7년째 되는 해에는 그를 자유의 몸이 되게 하십시오.
  3. 그리고 그를 보낼 때에는 빈손으로 보내지 말고
  4. 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 복을 주신 대로 양이나 곡식이나 포도주를 후하게 주십시오.
  5. 여러분은 이집트에서 종살이하던 것과 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 여러분을 구출하신 일을 기억하십시오. 그래서 내가 오늘 여러분에게 이렇게 명령하는 것입니다.
  1. There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.
  2. If a fellow Hebrew, a man or a woman, sells himself to you and serves you six years, in the seventh year you must let him go free.
  3. And when you release him, do not send him away empty-handed.
  4. Supply him liberally from your flock, your threshing floor and your winepress. Give to him as the LORD your God has blessed you.
  5. Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the LORD your God redeemed you. That is why I give you this command today.
  1. 그러나 만일 여러분의 종이 떠나기를 싫어하고 여러분과 여러분의 가족을 사랑하여 계속 머물러 있기를 원한다면
  2. 그를 문에 기대 서게 하고 송곳으로 그 귀를 뚫으십시오. 그러면 그가 평생 여러분의 종이 될 것입니다. 그리고 여러분의 여종에게도 그렇게 하십시오.

  1. But if your servant says to you, "I do not want to leave you," because he loves you and your family and is well off with you,
  2. then take an awl and push it through his ear lobe into the door, and he will become your servant for life. Do the same for your maidservant.
  3. Do not consider it a hardship to set your servant free, because his service to you these six years has been worth twice as much as that of a hired hand. And the LORD your God will bless you in everything you do.
  4. Set apart for the LORD your God every firstborn male of your herds and flocks. Do not put the firstborn of your oxen to work, and do not shear the firstborn of your sheep.
  5. Each year you and your family are to eat them in the presence of the LORD your God at the place he will choose.
  1. 그러나 그 짐승이 절뚝거리거나 눈이 멀었거나 그 밖의 다른 흠이 있으면 여러분의 하나님 여호와께 제물로 바치지 말고
  2. 여러분의 성에서 그것을 잡아먹도록 하십시오. 이것도 노루와 사슴을 먹을 때와 마찬가지로 깨끗한 자나 부정한 자나 다 같이 먹을 수 있습니다.
  3. 그러나 피는 먹지 말고 물처럼 땅에 쏟아 버리십시오.'
  1. If an animal has a defect, is lame or blind, or has any serious flaw, you must not sacrifice it to the LORD your God.
  2. You are to eat it in your own towns. Both the ceremonially unclean and the clean may eat it, as if it were gazelle or deer.
  3. But you must not eat the blood; pour it out on the ground like water.
 
  이스라엘의 절기(16:1-16:22)    
 
  1. '여러분은 아빕월, 곧 1월에 유월절을 지켜 여러분의 하나님 여호와를 기억하십시오. 이것은 그 달에 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 여러분을 밤중에 이집트에서 구출해 내셨기 때문입니다.
  2. 여러분은 여호와 하나님이 지정하신 곳에서 소나 양을 잡아 유월절 제물로 여러분의 하나님 여호와께 드리십시오.
  3. 여러분은 그 제물을 누룩 넣은 빵과 함께 먹어서는 안 됩니다. 여러분이 이집트에서 급히 떠나올 때 미처 누룩을 넣지 못하고 빵을 만들어 먹어야 했던 고생을 생각하면서 여러분은 7일 동안 누룩 넣지 않은 빵을 만들어 먹도록 하십시오. 이렇게 하여 여러분은 평생 동안 이집트에서 떠나온 날을 기억하십시오.

  1. Observe the month of Abib and celebrate the Passover of the LORD your God, because in the month of Abib he brought you out of Egypt by night.
  2. Sacrifice as the Passover to the LORD your God an animal from your flock or herd at the place the LORD will choose as a dwelling for his Name.
  3. Do not eat it with bread made with yeast, but for seven days eat unleavened bread, the bread of affliction, because you left Egypt in haste--so that all the days of your life you may remember the time of your departure from Egypt.
  4. Let no yeast be found in your possession in all your land for seven days. Do not let any of the meat you sacrifice on the evening of the first day remain until morning.
  5. You must not sacrifice the Passover in any town the LORD your God gives you
  1. 여호와께서 예배처로 지정하신 곳으로 가서 여러분이 이집트에서 나오던 시각인 저녁 해질 무렵에 드리십시오.
  2. 여러분은 거기서 유월절 고기를 구워 먹고 다음 날 아침에 집으로 돌아가십시오.
  3. 여러분은 나머지 6일 동안 누룩 넣지 않은 빵을 먹고 7일째 되는 날에는 여러분의 하나님 여호와 앞에 거룩한 모임을 갖고 아무 일도 하지 마십시오.
  4. 여러분은 추수하기 시작한 때부터 7주를 계산하여
  5. 여러분의 하나님 여호와 앞에 칠칠절을 지키십시오. 그때 여러분은 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 복을 주신 정도에 따라 자발적으로 예물을 드리십시오.
  1. except in the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name. There you must sacrifice the Passover in the evening, when the sun goes down, on the anniversary of your departure from Egypt.
  2. Roast it and eat it at the place the LORD your God will choose. Then in the morning return to your tents.
  3. For six days eat unleavened bread and on the seventh day hold an assembly to the LORD your God and do no work.
  4. Count off seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the standing grain.
  5. Then celebrate the Feast of Weeks to the LORD your God by giving a freewill offering in proportion to the blessings the LORD your God has given you.
  1. 그리고 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 예배처로 지정하신 곳에서 여러분은 여러분의 자녀와 종들과, 여러분의 성에 사는 레위인과 외국인과 고아와 과부와 함께 다 같이 여호와 앞에서 즐거워하십시오.
  2. 여러분은 이집트에서 종살이하던 일을 기억하고 이 규정들을 잘 지켜야 합니다.'
  3. 여러분은 모든 곡식을 타작하고 포도즙을 짜서 저장한 후에 7일 동안 초막절을 지키십시오.
  4. 이 명절에 여러분은 여러분의 자녀와 종들과 여러분의 성에 사는 레위인과 외국인과 고아와 과부와 함께 다 같이 즐거워하십시오.
  5. 여러분은 지정된 예배처에서 7일 동안 이 명절을 지키면서 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 여러분의 농사와 여러분이 하는 모든 일에 복을 주신 것을 감사하고 기뻐하십시오.
  1. And rejoice before the LORD your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name--you, your sons and daughters, your menservants and maidservants, the Levites in your towns, and the aliens, the fatherless and the widows living among you.
  2. Remember that you were slaves in Egypt, and follow carefully these decrees.
  3. Celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your threshing floor and your winepress.
  4. Be joyful at your Feast--you, your sons and daughters, your menservants and maidservants, and the Levites, the aliens, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns.
  5. For seven days celebrate the Feast to the LORD your God at the place the LORD will choose. For the LORD your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.
  1. 모든 이스라엘 남자들은 매년 세번씩, 곧 유월절과 칠칠절과 초막절에 지정된 예배처에 나와서 여호와께 예배를 드려야 합니다. 그리고 여호와 앞에 나올 때는 빈손으로 나오지 말고
  2. 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 복을 주신 정도에 따라 예물을 가져와서 드리십시오.
  3. 여러분은 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 주신 각 성에 재판관과 사무원을 뽑아 세워 백성들을 공정하게 재판하도록 하십시오.
  4. 여러분은 공정하지 못한 재판이나 편파적인 재판을 해서는 안 되며 뇌물을 받아서도 안 됩니다. 뇌물은 지혜로운 사람의 눈을 멀게 하고 의로운 사람의 진술을 묵살시킵니다.
  5. 여러분은 언제나 공정하고 정직하십시오. 그러면 여러분은 살 수 있을 것이며 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 여러분에게 주시는 땅을 소유할 것입니다.
  1. Three times a year all your men must appear before the LORD your God at the place he will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles. No man should appear before the LORD empty-handed:
  2. Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the LORD your God has blessed you.
  3. Appoint judges and officials for each of your tribes in every town the LORD your God is giving you, and they shall judge the people fairly.
  4. Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.
  5. Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the LORD your God is giving you.
