이사야 42:1-43:28

 이사야는 메시아의 사역을 예언하면서, 야웨께서 그의 종인 메시아를 보호하시고 그를 백성의 언약과 이방의 빛이 되도록 하실 것이라고 예언하였다. 그리고 하나님께서 범죄한 이스라엘을 바벨론에서 해방시키실 것이라고 예언하였다.
  
  메시아의 통치와 사역(42:1-42:25)    
 
  1. 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '내가 붙드는 나의 종, 내가 택하고 기뻐하는 자를 보아라. 내가 그에게 내 성령을 주었으니 그가 온 세상에 진리를 전할 것이다.
  2. 그는 외치거나 소리를 높이지 않을 것이며 거리에서 떠들어대지도 않을 것이다.
  3. 그는 상한 갈대를 꺾지 않고 꺼져가는 둥불을 끄지 않으며 의로운 심판을 성실하게 베풀 것이다.
  4. 그는 비틀거리거나 낙심하지 않고 세상의 진리와 의를 세울 것이니 섬나라 사람들도 그의 교훈을 사모할 것이다.'
  5. 하늘을 창조하여 펴시고 땅과 그 안에 있는 모든 것을 만드셨으며 세상 모든 사람들에게 생명과 호흡을 주시는 하나님 여호와께서 자기 종에게 말씀하신다.
  1. "Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations.
  2. He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets.
  3. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
  4. he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope."
  5. This is what God the LORD says-- he who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:
  1. '나 여호와가 의를 나타내려고 너를 불렀으니 내가 너를 보호하고 지킬 것이며 너를 통해 내 백성과 새로운 계약을 맺고 너를 세워 이방 민족들의 빛이 되게 하겠다.
  2. 네가 소경의 눈을 뜨게 하고 캄캄한 감옥에 갇혀 있는 자들을 끌어내어 자유롭게 할 것이다.
  3. 나는 여호와이니 이것이 내 이름이다. 나는 내 영광을 다른 신에게 주지 않을 것이며 내 찬송을 우상과 나누지 않을 것이다.
  4. 내가 전에 예언한 일이 이미 이루어졌으니 내가 이제 새로운 일을 예언할 것이다. 그 일이 시작되기도 전에 내가 그것을 너희에게 말한다.'
  5. 항해하는 자들아, 바다와 그 안에 있는 모든 것들아, 섬들과 거기에 사는 민족들아, 너희는 여호와께 새 노래를 부르며 그를 찬양하라.
  1. "I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles,
  2. to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.
  3. "I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.
  4. See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you."
  5. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them.
  1. 광야에 있는 성들아, 소리를 높여라. 게달 사람들아, 여호와를 찬양하라. 셀라에 사는 자들아, 크게 노래하며 산꼭대기에서 기쁨으로 외쳐라.
  2. 해안 지역에 사는 자들아, 여호와께 찬양과 영광을 돌려라.
  3. 여호와께서 용사처럼 나가 싸우시며 크게 분발하여 함성을 지르고 자기 원수들을 쳐서 이기시리라.
  4. 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '내가 오랫동안 침묵을 지키고 말없이 참았으나 이제는 해산하는 여자처럼 내가 부르짖고 숨이 차서 헐떡이는구나.
  5. 내가 높은 산과 낮은 산을 다 황폐하게 하며 풀과 나무를 마르게 하고 강과 연못을 말려 버릴 것이다.
  1. Let the desert and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops.
  2. Let them give glory to the LORD and proclaim his praise in the islands.
  3. The LORD will march out like a mighty man, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.
  4. "For a long time I have kept silent, I have been quiet and held myself back. But now, like a woman in childbirth, I cry out, I gasp and pant.
  5. I will lay waste the mountains and hills and dry up all their vegetation; I will turn rivers into islands and dry up the pools.
  1. 내가 소경을 그들이 알지 못하는 길로 인도하며 그들 앞에서 흑암을 광명으로 바꾸고 거친 길을 평탄하게 할 것이다. 나는 반드시 이 일을 행하고 그들을 버리지 않을 것이다.
  2. 그러나 우상을 신뢰하며 그들을 신이라고 부르는 자들은 배척과 수치를 당할 것이다.'
  3. 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '너희 귀머거리들아, 들어라! 너희 소경들아, 눈을 떠서 보아라!
  4. 내 종보다 더 눈먼 자가 누구냐? 내가 보내는 사자보다 더 귀먹은 자가 누구냐?
  5. 이스라엘아, 너는 많은 것을 보면서도 그것에 관심을 가지지 않으며 들을 귀가 있으면서도 아무것도 듣지 않는구나.'
  1. I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.
  2. But those who trust in idols, who say to images, 'You are our gods,' will be turned back in utter shame.
  3. "Hear, you deaf; look, you blind, and see!
  4. Who is blind but my servant, and deaf like the messenger I send? Who is blind like the one committed to me, blind like the servant of the LORD ?
  5. You have seen many things, but have paid no attention; your ears are open, but you hear nothing."
  1. 여호와께서 자기 의로움을 나타내시려고 기쁨으로 그의 율법을 훌륭하고 존귀하게 하려 하셨으나
  2. 이 백성이 약탈을 당하고 다 굴 속에 갇혀 죄수 신세가 되었구나. 그들이 약탈과 강탈을 당해도 와서 그들을 구출해 줄 자가 없다.
  3. 너희 중에 누가 이 일에 귀를 기울이겠느냐? 지금부터라도 너희가 관심을 가지고 듣겠느냐?
  4. 이스라엘을 약탈자에게 넘겨 준 자가 누구냐? 바로 여호와가 아니시냐? 우리는 그에게 범죄하였다. 우리는 그의 뜻대로 살지 않았고 그의 법에 순종하지 않았다.
  5. 그러므로 여호와께서 우리에게 무서운 분노를 쏟아 격렬한 전쟁을 겪게 하셨다. 여호와의 분노가 불붙듯이 타도 우리는 그것을 깨닫지 못하고 또 그런 것을 염두에 두지도 않았다.
  1. It pleased the LORD for the sake of his righteousness to make his law great and glorious.
  2. But this is a people plundered and looted, all of them trapped in pits or hidden away in prisons. They have become plunder, with no one to rescue them; they have been made loot, with no one to say, "Send them back."
  3. Which of you will listen to this or pay close attention in time to come?
  4. Who handed Jacob over to become loot, and Israel to the plunderers? Was it not the LORD, against whom we have sinned? For they would not follow his ways; they did not obey his law.
  5. So he poured out on them his burning anger, the violence of war. It enveloped them in flames, yet they did not understand; it consumed them, but they did not take it to heart.
 
  이스라엘의 구원자(43:1-43:28)    
 
  1. 이스라엘아, 너를 창조하신 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '너는 두려워하지 말아라. 내가 너를 구원하였고 내가 너를 지명하여 불렀으니 너는 내 것이다.
  2. 네가 깊은 물을 지나갈 때 내가 너와 함께 할 것이니 강을 건널 때에 물이 너를 침몰시키지 못할 것이다. 네가 불 가운데로 지날 때에도 타지 않을 것이며 불꽃이 너를 소멸하지 못할 것이다.
  3. 나는 너의 하나님 여호와이며 너 이스라엘을 구원하는 거룩한 자이다. 내가 너를 자유롭게 하려고 이집트와 이디오피아와 스바를 네 몸값으로 내어주었다.
  4. 내가 너를 소중하고 귀한 존재로 여겨 너를 사랑하고 있으니 내가 다른 민족을 희생시켜서라도 네 생명을 구하겠다.
  5. 너는 두려워하지 말아라. 내가 너와 함께 한다. '내가 내 백성을 동방과 서방에서 이끌어낼 것이며
  1. But now, this is what the LORD says-- he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
  2. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
  3. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead.
  4. Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life.
  5. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west.
  1. 북방에서 그들을 놓아주라고 말하고 남방에서 그들을 억류하지 말라고 할 것이다. 내가 내 자녀들을 세계 각처에서 돌아오게 하겠다.
  2. 그들은 다 내 백성이며 내 영광을 위하여 내가 창조한 자들이다.'
  3. 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '눈이 있어도 소경이요 귀가 있어도 귀머거리가 된 백성을 이끌어내라.
  4. 세상의 모든 민족을 불러모아라. 그들의 어느 신이 미래를 예언할 수 있느냐? 그들이 이전에 예언한 일 중에 성취된 것이 있느냐? 증인을 세워 그들이 옳다는 것을 입증하고 그들의 말이 사실임을 증거해 보아라.
  5. 이스라엘 백성들아, 너희는 나의 증인이다. 내가 너희를 택하여 내 종으로 삼은 것은 너희가 나를 알고 믿으며 나만이 유일한 하나님인 것을 깨닫게 하기 위해서이다. 나 외에는 다른 신이 없으니 전에도 없었고 앞으로도 없을 것이다.
  1. I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' and to the south, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth-
  2. everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made."
  3. Lead out those who have eyes but are blind, who have ears but are deaf.
  4. All the nations gather together and the peoples assemble. Which of them foretold this and proclaimed to us the former things? Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were right, so that others may hear and say, "It is true."
  5. "You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.
  1. 나만이 여호와이며 나 외에는 구원자가 아무도 없다.
  2. 나는 일어날 일을 미리 말하고 보여 주었으며 너희를 구원하였다. 이방 신 중에 이런 일을 행한 자가 아무도 없으니 너희가 내 증인이다.
  3. 나는 영원 전부터 하나님이니 아무도 내 손에서 피할 자 없고 내가 하는 일을 막을 수 없다.'
  4. 너희를 구원하시는 이스라엘의 거룩하신 하나님이 말씀하신다. '내가 너희를 위해 바빌론에 한 군대를 보내 그 백성을 쳐서 다 달아나게 하겠다. 그들의 즐거워하던 소리가 통곡소리로 바뀔 것이다.
  5. 나는 여호와, 너희 거룩한 하나님이며 너희 이스라엘의 창조자요 왕이다.'
  1. I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.
  2. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed-- I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "that I am God.
  3. Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?"
  4. This is what the LORD says-- your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "For your sake I will send to Babylon and bring down as fugitives all the Babylonians, in the ships in which they took pride.
  5. I am the LORD, your Holy One, Israel's Creator, your King."
  1. 오래 전에 여호와께서 바다를 갈라 소용돌이치는 물결 사이에 곧장 길을 내시고
  2. 이집트의 막강한 군대와 그 모든 전차와 말을 바다 속으로 끌어들여 송두리째 엎어 버리고 그들을 다시는 일어나지 못하게 하여 등불을 끄듯이 그들을 완전히 소멸하셨다.
  3. 그러나 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '지나간 일은 잊어버리고 생각하지 말아라.
  4. 보라! 내가 새로운 일을 행하겠다. 이미 그 일이 나타나기 시작했는데 너희는 보지 못하느냐? 내가 광야에 길을 내고 사막에 물이 흐르게 할 것이다.
  5. 내가 광야와 사막에 강물을 흐르게 하여 택한 내 백성들이 마시게 할 그 때에는 이리와 타조와 같은 들짐승도 나를 존경할 것이다.
  1. This is what the LORD says-- he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters,
  2. who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:
  3. "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
  4. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.
  5. The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen,
  1. 네가 나를 위해 이스라엘을 세웠으니 이 백성이 나를 찬양할 것이다.
  2. 그러나 이스라엘 백성들아, 너희는 나를 부르지 않았고 나에게 싫증을 느꼈으며
  3. 불로 태워 바칠 양의 번제물을 나에게 가져오지 않았고 너희 제사로 나를 공경하지 않았다. 내가 예물을 요구하여 너희에게 부담을 주거나 향을 요구하여 너희를 괴롭게 하지 않았는데도
  4. 너희는 나를 위해 향품을 사지 않았으며 희생제물의 기름으로 나를 흡족하게 하지 않고 오히려 너희 죄로 나에게 짐을 지우며 너희 죄악으로 나를 괴롭게 하였다.
  5. 그러나 나는 나를 위하여 너희 허물을 삭제하는 하나님이니 내가 다시는 너희 죄를 기억하지 않을 것이다.
  1. the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.
  2. "Yet you have not called upon me, O Jacob, you have not wearied yourselves for me, O Israel.
  3. You have not brought me sheep for burnt offerings, nor honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with grain offerings nor wearied you with demands for incense.
  4. You have not bought any fragrant calamus for me, or lavished on me the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened me with your sins and wearied me with your offenses.
  5. "I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.
  1. 너희에게 의로운 것이 있으면 나에게 기억나게 하라. 우리가 함께 변론해 보자. 너희에게 죄가 없다면 그것을 입증하라.
  2. 너희 첫 조상이 범죄하였고 너희 지도자들이 나를 거역하였다.
  3. 그러므로 내가 성소에 제사장들이 욕을 당하게 하고 이스라엘을 멸망시켜 내 백성이 수치를 당하게 할 것이다.'
  1. Review the past for me, let us argue the matter together; state the case for your innocence.
  2. Your first father sinned; your spokesmen rebelled against me.
  3. So I will disgrace the dignitaries of your temple, and I will consign Jacob to destruction and Israel to scorn.
