- These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
- As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
- And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
- I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
- And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

- 이 말씀을 마치시고 예수께서는 하늘을 우러러보시며 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "아버지, 때가 왔습니다. 아들의 영광을 드러내주시어 아들이 아버지의 영광을 드러내게 하여주십시오.
- 아버지께서는 아들에게 모든 사람을 다스릴 권한을 주셨고 따라서 아들은 아버지께서 맡겨주신 모든 사람에게 영원한 생명을 주게 되었습니다.
- 영원한 생명은 곧 참되시고 오직 한 분이신 하느님 아버지를 알고 또 아버지께서 보내신 예수 그리스도를 아는 것입니다.
- 나는 아버지께서 나에게 맡겨주신 일을 다 하여 세상에서 아버지의 영광을 드러냈습니다.
- 아버지, 이제는 나의 영광을 드러내주십시오. 세상이 있기 전에 아버지 곁에서 내가 누리던 그 영광을 아버지와 같이 누리게 하여주십시오."

- I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
- Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
- For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
- I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
- And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

- "나는 아버지께서 세상 사람들 가운데서 뽑아 내게 맡겨주신 이 사람들에게 아버지를 분명히 알려주었습니다. 이 사람들은 본래 아버지의 사람들이었지만 내게 맡겨주셨습니다. 이 사람들은 과연 아버지의 말씀을 잘 지키었습니다.
- 지금 이 사람들은 나에게 주신 모든 것이 아버지께로부터 왔다는 것을 알고 있습니다.
- 나는 나에게 주신 말씀을 이 사람들에게 전하였습니다. 이 사람들은 그 말씀을 받아들였고 내가 아버지께로부터 온 것을 참으로 깨달았으며 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 믿었습니다.
- 나는 이 사람들을 위하여 간구합니다. 세상을 위하여 간구하는 것이 아니라 아버지께서 내게 맡기신 이 사람들을 위하여 간구합니다. 이 사람들은 아버지의 사람들입니다.
- 나의 것은 다 아버지의 것이며 아버지의 것은 다 나의 것입니다. 그래서 이 사람들로 말미암아 내 영광이 나타났습니다.

- And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
- While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
- And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
- I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
- I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

- 나는 이제 세상을 떠나 아버지께 돌아가지만 이 사람들은 세상에 남아 있을 것입니다. 거룩하신 아버지, 나에게 주신 아버지의 이름으로 이 사람들을 지켜주십시오. 그리고 아버지와 내가 하나인 것처럼 이 사람들도 하나가 되게 하여주십시오.
- 내가 이 사람들과 함께 있을 때에는 나에게 주신 아버지의 이름으로 내가 이 사람들을 지켰습니다. 그 동안에 오직 멸망할 운명에 놓인 자를 제외하고는 하나도 잃지 않았습니다. 하나를 잃은 것은 성경 말씀이 이루어지기 위한 것이었습니다.
- 지금 나는 아버지께로 갑니다. 아직 세상에 있으면서 이 말씀을 드리는 것은 이 사람들이 내 기쁨을 마음껏 누리게 하려는 것입니다.
- 나는 이 사람들에게 아버지의 말씀을 전해 주었는데 세상은 이 사람들을 미워했습니다. 그것은 내가 이 세상에 속해 있지 않은 것처럼 이 사람들도 이 세상에 속해 있지 않기 때문입니다.
- 내가 아버지께 원하는 것은 그들을 이 세상에서 데려가시는 것이 아니라 악마에게서 지켜주시는 일입니다.

- They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
- Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
- As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
- And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
- Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

- 내가 이 세상에 속하지 않은 것처럼 이 사람들도 이 세상에 속한 사람들이 아닙니다.
- 이 사람들이 진리를 위하여 몸을 바치는 사람들이 되게 하여주십시오. 아버지의 말씀이 곧 진리입니다.
- 아버지께서 나를 세상에 보내신 것같이 나도 이 사람들을 세상에 보냈습니다.
- 내가 이 사람들을 위하여 이 몸을 아버지께 바치는 것은 이 사람들도 참으로 아버지께 자기 몸을 바치게 하려는 것입니다."
- "나는 이 사람들만을 위하여 간구하는 것이 아니라 이 사람들의 말을 듣고 나를 믿는 사람들을 위하여 간구합니다.

- That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
- And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
- I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
- Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
- O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

- 아버지, 이 사람들이 모두 하나가 되게 하여주십시오. 아버지께서 내 안에 계시고 내가 아버지 안에 있는 것과 같이 이 사람들도 우리들 안에 있게 하여주십시오. 그러면 아버지께서 나를 보내셨다는 것을 세상이 믿게 될 것입니다.
- 아버지께서 내게 주신 영광을 나도 그들에게 주었습니다. 그것은 아버지와 내가 하나인 것처럼 이 사람들도 하나가 되게 하려는 것입니다.
- 내가 이 사람들 안에 있고 아버지께서 내 안에 계신 것은 이 사람들을 완전히 하나가 되게 하려는 것입니다. 이것은 세상으로 하여금 아버지께서 나를 보내셨다는 것을 알게 하려는 것이며 또 아버지께서 나를 사랑하신 것처럼 이 사람들도 사랑하셨다는 것을 알게 하려는 것입니다.
- 아버지, 아버지께서 나에게 맡기신 사람들을 내가 있는 곳에 함께 있게 하여주시고 아버지께서 천지 창조 이전부터 나를 사랑하셔서 나에게 주신 그 영광을 그들도 볼 수 있게 하여주십시오.
- 의로우신 아버지, 세상은 아버지를 모르지만 나는 아버지를 알고 있습니다. 그리고 이 사람들도 아버지께서 나를 보내셨다는 것을 깨달았습니다.

- And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

- 나는 이 사람들에게 아버지를 알게 하였으며 앞으로도 그렇게 하겠습니다. 그것은 아버지께서 나를 사랑하신 그 사랑이 그들 안에 있고 나도 그들 안에 있게 하려는 것입니다."
