역대하 29:1-30:27

히스기야는 하나님 보시기에 정직히 행하였으며, 아하스 시대에 파괴된 성전 복구 사업에 헌신하였다. 또한 성전을 성결케 한 후 성전에서 시행되던 각종 제사들을 실시하였으며, 복구된 성전에서 유월절을 지키도록 결정함으로써 이스라엘 백성들이 예루살렘에 모여 유월절 의식을 시행하며 하나님을 섬겼다.
 
  성전 정화(29:1-29:36)    
 
  1. Hezekiah began to reign when he was five and twenty years old, and he reigned nine and twenty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.
  2. And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father had done.
  3. He in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of the LORD, and repaired them.
  4. And he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the east street,
  5. And said unto them, Hear me, ye Levites, sanctify now yourselves, and sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry forth the filthiness out of the holy place.
  1. 히즈키야는 이십오 세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 이십구 년간 다스렸다. 그의 어머니는 즈가리야의 딸로서 이름을 아비야라고 하였다.
  2. 그는 태조 다윗 못지않게 야훼 보시기에 옳은 일을 하였다.

  1. For our fathers have trespassed, and done that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of the LORD, and turned their backs.
  2. Also they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the holy place unto the God of Israel.
  3. Wherefore the wrath of the LORD was upon Judah and Jerusalem, and he hath delivered them to trouble, to astonishment, and to hissing, as ye see with your eyes.
  4. For, lo, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity for this.
  5. Now it is in mine heart to make a covenant with the LORD God of Israel, that his fierce wrath may turn away from us.
  1. 우리 선조들은 우리 하느님 야훼께 반역하여 그의 눈에 거슬리는 일을 하였다. 야훼를 저버리고 그가 계시는 곳을 바라보기도 싫어하여 등을 돌리고 말았다.
  2. 현관 앞 문들을 봉하고 등을 끄고 성소에서 이스라엘의 하느님께 분향하지도 않았으며 번제도 드리지 않았다.
  3. 야훼께서 유다와 예루살렘에 진노를 터뜨리신 것은 그 때문이었다. 그래서 너희가 보는 대로 모두 다 놀랄 만큼 끔찍스러운 일을 당한 것이다.
  4. 알겠느냐? 우리 선조들이 칼에 맞아 죽고 아들딸과 아내들이 사로잡혀 가게 된 것은 바로 그 때문이었다.
  5. 이제 나는 이스라엘의 하느님 야훼께서 진노를 거두어주시기를 바라며 그와 계약을 맺기로 결심하였다.
  1. My sons, be not now negligent: for the LORD hath chosen you to stand before him, to serve him, and that ye should minister unto him, and burn incense.
  2. Then the Levites arose, Mahath the son of Amasai, and Joel the son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathites: and of the sons of Merari, Kish the son of Abdi, and Azariah the son of Jehalelel: and of the Gershonites; Joah the son of Zimmah, and Eden the son of Joah:
  3. And of the sons of Elizaphan; Shimri, and Jeiel: and of the sons of Asaph; Zechariah, and Mattaniah:
  4. And of the sons of Heman; Jehiel, and Shimei: and of the sons of Jeduthun; Shemaiah, and Uzziel.
  5. And they gathered their brethren, and sanctified themselves, and came, according to the commandment of the king, by the words of the LORD, to cleanse the house of the LORD.
  1. 아들들아, 이제는 머뭇거리지 마라. 야훼께서는 당신 앞에서 섬길 사람으로 너희를 뽑으시어 당신을 섬기며 분향할 사람으로 삼으셨다."
  2. 레위인들이 나서니, 크핫 후손인 아마새의 아들 마핫, 아자리야의 아들 요엘, 므라리 후손인 압디의 아들 키스, 여할렐렐의 아들 아자리야, 게르손 후손인 짐마의 아들 요아, 요아의 아들 에덴,
  3. 엘리사반 후손인 시므리와 여우엘, 아삽 후손인 즈가리야와 마따니야,
  4. 헤만 후손인 여히엘과 시므이, 여두둔 후손인 스마야와 우찌엘이었다.
  5. 이들은 일가친척을 모아 목욕재계를 시킨 다음 야훼의 분부대로 어명을 따라 야훼의 성전을 깨끗하게 하려고 들어갔으며,
  1. And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the LORD, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the LORD into the court of the house of the LORD. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad into the brook Kidron.
  2. Now they began on the first day of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month came they to the porch of the LORD: so they sanctified the house of the LORD in eight days; and in the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end.
  3. Then they went in to Hezekiah the king, and said, We have cleansed all the house of the LORD, and the altar of burnt offering, with all the vessels thereof, and the shewbread table, with all the vessels thereof.
  4. Moreover all the vessels, which king Ahaz in his reign did cast away in his transgression, have we prepared and sanctified, and, behold, they are before the altar of the LORD.
  5. Then Hezekiah the king rose early, and gathered the rulers of the city, and went up to the house of the LORD.
  1. 사제들은 야훼의 성전 안을 깨끗하게 하려고 들어갔다. 사제들이 야훼의 성전 본관 안에 있는 부정한 것을 모두 야훼의 성전 밖으로 몰아내면, 레위인들은 그것을 성 밖 키드론 골짜기에 가져다 버렸다.
  2. 성전을 깨끗이 하는 일은 정월 초하루에 시작해서 그 달 팔일에야 야훼께서 계시는 곳 현관에 다다랐다. 그 다음 야훼의 성전을 깨끗이 하는 데 또 팔 일 걸렸다. 이렇게 해서 일을 마친 것은 정월 십육일이었다.
  3. 그리고 나서 레위인들은 대궐로 들어가 히즈키야 왕에게 아뢰었다. "야훼의 성전을 다 정하게 하였습니다. 번제단과 거기에 딸린 모든 기구들, 제사 상과 거기에 딸린 모든 기구들을 정하게 하였습니다.
  4. 또 아하즈 왕께서 왕위에 계실 때 하느님께 반역하면서 치워버린 기구들을 모두 깨끗이 갖추어 야훼의 제단 앞에 차려놓았습니다."
  5. 히즈키야 왕은 아침 일찍 일어나 성읍에 있는 대신들을 불러모은 다음, 야훼의 성전으로 올라갔다.
  1. And they brought seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven he goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah. And he commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the altar of the LORD.
  2. So they killed the bullocks, and the priests received the blood, and sprinkled it on the altar: likewise, when they had killed the rams, they sprinkled the blood upon the altar: they killed also the lambs, and they sprinkled the blood upon the altar.
  3. And they brought forth the he goats for the sin offering before the king and the congregation; and they laid their hands upon them:
  4. And the priests killed them, and they made reconciliation with their blood upon the altar, to make an atonement for all Israel: for the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for all Israel.
  5. And he set the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the king's seer, and Nathan the prophet: for so was the commandment of the LORD by his prophets.
  1. 사람들이 황소 일곱 마리, 숫양 일곱 마리, 새끼 양 일곱 마리, 또 왕실과 성소와 유다의 죄를 벗길 숫염소 일곱 마리를 끌어오자 왕은 아론의 후손 사제들에게 그것을 야훼의 제단에 바치라고 분부하였다.
  2. 사제들은 소를 죽이고는 그 피를 받아 제단에 뿌린 다음 또 숫양을 죽여 그 피를 제단에 뿌리고 또 새끼 양을 죽여 그 피를 제단에 뿌렸다.
  3. 죄를 벗기는 제물인 숫염소를 앞으로 끌어오자 왕과 회중이 그 위에 손을 얹은 다음,
  4. 사제들이 그 염소를 죽여 피를 제단에 속죄제물로 바쳐 온 이스라엘의 죄를 씻어주었다. 온 이스라엘의 죄를 벗기는 속죄제와 번제를 바치라는 어명이 있었던 것이다.
  5. 그는 또 다윗과 선견자 갓과 예언자 나단의 지시대로 레위인들에게 바라와 수금과 거문고를 들고 야훼의 성전에 서게 하였다. 이 지시는 야훼께서 예언자들을 시켜 내리셨던 것이다.
  1. And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.
  2. And Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt offering upon the altar. And when the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD began also with the trumpets, and with the instruments ordained by David king of Israel.
  3. And all the congregation worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded: and all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.
  4. And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves, and worshipped.
  5. Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshipped.
  1. 레위인들은 다윗의 악기를 잡고 사제들은 나팔을 잡고 섰다.
  2. 그러자 히즈키야는 번제물을 제단에 바치라고 명령하였다. 그 때 번제를 드리기 시작하며 나팔 소리 울려 퍼지고 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 악기에 맞추어 야훼를 찬양하는 노래가 터져 나왔다.
  3. 온 회중은 땅에 엎드렸다. 번제가 끝나기까지 나팔 소리에 맞추어 합창대는 노래를 계속하였다.
  4. 번제를 다 드린 다음 왕과 일행은 무릎을 꿇어 땅에 엎드려 예배하였다.
  5. 그런 다음 히즈키야 왕과 대신들이 다윗과 선견자 아삽이 지은 노래로 야훼를 찬양하라고 명령하자 레위인들은 크게 기뻐하며 노래하고 엎드려 예배하였다.
  1. Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings.
  2. And the number of the burnt offerings, which the congregation brought, was threescore and ten bullocks, an hundred rams, and two hundred lambs: all these were for a burnt offering to the LORD.
  3. And the consecrated things were six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.
  4. But the priests were too few, so that they could not flay all the burnt offerings: wherefore their brethren the Levites did help them, till the work was ended, and until the other priests had sanctified themselves: for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.
  5. And also the burnt offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings, and the drink offerings for every burnt offering. So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order.
  1. 찬양이 끝나자 히즈키야가 말하였다. "이제 너희는 야훼를 섬기는 일을 맡은 몸들이다. 감사제물을 가지고 나와 야훼의 성전에 바쳐라." 그리하여 온 회중이 친교제물을 바치고 모두 마음에서 우러나 자원제물을 바치니,
  2. 회중이 바친 번제물의 수는 소가 칠십 마리, 숫양이 백 마리, 새끼 양이 이백 마리였다. 이것을 모두 번제로 야훼께 바쳤고,
  3. 거룩한 예물로 바친 것은 소 육백 마리, 양 삼천 마리였다.
  4. 그런데 사제의 수가 적어서 그 번제물을 다 잡을 수가 없었다. 그래서 사제들이 그 거룩한 임무를 끝내기까지 일가인 레위인들이 거들었다. 레위인들이 사제들보다 이 거룩한 일을 더욱 성심껏 하였다.
  5. 번제물도 많았지만, 친교제물의 기름기도 살라야 하고 번제에 곁들여 제주도 부어 바쳐야 했다. 이렇게 해서 야훼의 성전 예배는 회복되었다.
  1. And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, that God had prepared the people: for the thing was done suddenly.
  1. 하느님께서 백성에게 마련해 주신 일이 이렇듯이 돌연히 이루어진 것을 보고 히즈키야는 온 백성과 함께 기뻐하였다.
 
  유월절 준수(30:1-30:27)    
 
  1. And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel.
  2. For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, to keep the passover in the second month.
  3. For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.
  4. And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.
  5. So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written.
  1. 히즈키야는 온 이스라엘과 유다에 사람을 보내었다. 에브라임과 므나쎄에는 예루살렘, 야훼의 성전에 와서 과월절을 지키며 이스라엘의 하느님 야훼를 기리라고 편지를 띄웠다.
  2. 왕은 대신들과 온 회중과 더불어 의논하고 이월에 과월절을 지키기로 하였다.
  3. 제때에 과월절을 지키지 못한 것은 부정을 씻고 하느님께 몸바친 사제가 적었고 백성이 예루살렘에 미처 모이지 못했기 때문이었다.
  4. 그렇게 하는 것이 왕과 온 회중의 생각에도 옳아보여
  5. 예루살렘에서 과월절을 지켜 이스라엘의 하느님 야훼를 기리도록, 브엘세바로부터 단에 이르기까지 이스라엘 전국에 포고령을 내리기로 결정하였다. 그 때는 규정대로 과월절을 지킨 사람이 많지 않았던 것이다.
  1. So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.
  2. And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see.
  3. Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.
  4. For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
  5. So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh even unto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them.
  1. 파발꾼들은 왕과 대신들에게서 편지를 받아 이스라엘과 유다 전국을 돌아다니며 어명을 선포하였다. "이스라엘 백성들아, 아브라함과 이사악과 이스라엘의 하느님 야훼께 돌아오라. 그래야 야훼께서도 아시리아 왕들의 손아귀에서 살아 남은 사람들에게 돌아오실 것이다.
  2. 너희 선조들, 너희 동족들은 저희들을 돌보시는 하느님 야훼께 반역하다가 너희들이 보다시피 그 참혹한 일을 당하였다. 그러니 너희는 그들과 같이 되지 않도록 하여라.
  3. 너희 선조들처럼 고집부리지 말고 야훼께 순종하여라. 영원히 당신의 것으로 삼으신 성소에 와서 너희 하느님 야훼를 섬겨라. 그리하면 하느님께서 당신의 진노를 거두시리라.
  4. 너희가 야훼께 돌아와야 너희 겨레, 너희 자녀들을 사로잡아 간 자들이 그들을 불쌍히 여겨 이 땅으로 돌려보내 줄 것이다. 야훼께서는 너희를 고이 보시고 뜨겁게 사랑해 주신다. 당신께로 돌아오기만 하면 결코 너희를 외면하시지 아니하시리라."
  5. 파발꾼들은 에브라임 지방과 므나쎄 지방을 이 성읍 저 성읍 돌아다녀 즈불룬에까지 이르렀지만 사람들은 코웃음치며 그들을 놀려주기만 하였다.
  1. Nevertheless divers of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.
  2. Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.
  3. And there assembled at Jerusalem much people to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation.
  4. And they arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the brook Kidron.
  5. Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the LORD.
  1. 그래도 아셀과 므나쎄와 즈불룬 사람들 가운데서 머리를 숙이고 예루살렘으로 오는 사람이 더러 있었다.
  2. 유다에서만은 하느님께서 사람들을 감화시키셨다. 야훼의 말씀을 따라 왕이 대신들과 함께 내린 명령을 따를 마음이 모든 사람들에게 일어났던 것이다.
  3. 그리하여 이월에 많은 사람이 예루살렘에 모여와서 무교절을 지키게 되었다. 아주 많은 회중이 모였다.
  4. 그들은 우선 예루살렘에 있는 제단들을 헐고 분향단을 모조리 뜯어내어 키드론 골짜기에 가져다 버렸다.
  5. 그리고 이월 십사일에 과월절 양을 잡았다. 사제들과 레위인들은 부끄러운 생각이 들어 야훼의 성전에 번제를 바쳐 부정을 벗고 하느님께 몸을 바쳤다.
  1. And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the Levites.
  2. For there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the LORD.
  3. For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good LORD pardon every one
  4. That prepareth his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.
  5. And the LORD hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.
  1. 그리고 하느님의 사람 모세의 법을 따라 정해진 자리에 섰다. 사제들은 레위인들에게서 피를 받아 뿌렸다.
  2. 회중 가운데는 부정을 벗지 못한 사람들이 많았다. 그래서 레위인들은 사람 하나에 과월절 양 한 마리씩 잡아 부정을 벗겨주어야 했다.
  3. 많은 사람들이 부정을 벗지 못한 채 과월절 양을 먹어 기록된 규정을 어겼다. 에브라임, 므나쎄, 이싸갈, 즈불룬 사람들이 대부분 그랬다. 그래서 히즈키야는 그들을 생각하고 기도를 올렸다. "어지신 야훼여, 용서하십시오.
  4. 이 사람들은 선조들의 하느님 야훼를 찾기로 마음을 정한 사람들입니다. 그러니 비록 부정을 벗지 못하여 하느님 앞에 나올 수 없는 몸이라 하지만, 그 죄를 벗겨주십시오."
  5. 야훼께서는 히즈키야의 기도를 들으시고 그들을 살려주셨다.
  1. And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the LORD day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the LORD.
  2. And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the LORD: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.
  3. And the whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept other seven days with gladness.
  4. For Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.
  5. And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.
  1. 예루살렘에 있던 온 이스라엘 백성이 기뻐 어쩔 줄을 모르며 칠 일간 무교절을 지키는데, 레위인과 사제들은 날마다 온 힘을 다 내어 야훼께 찬양을 불러 올렸다.
  2. 히즈키야는 레위인들이 훌륭하게 야훼를 찬양하는 것을 보고 칭찬해 주었다. 이렇게 하여 칠 일간 친교제물을 잡아 바치고 선조들의 하느님 야훼께 감사 찬송을 부르며 절기를 지켰다.
  3. 그러나 온 회중은 다시 칠 일간 절기를 연장하기로 합의하였다. 더구나 기뻐하며 칠 일을 지킬 수 있었던 것은
  4. 회중에게 유다 왕 히즈키야가 소 천 마리와 양 칠천 마리를, 대신들이 소 천 마리와 양 일만 마리를 내놓았기 때문이었다. 많은 사제들이 몸을 거룩케 하는 예식을 치렀다.
  5. 사제와 레위인을 비롯하여 유다 회중, 이스라엘에서 온 회중, 이스라엘에서 온 외국인과 유다에 살던 거류민들도 함께 기뻐하였다.
  1. So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.
  2. Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy dwelling place, even unto heaven.
  1. 그렇게 기뻐한 일은 이스라엘의 왕 다윗의 아들 솔로몬 시대 이후로 예루살렘에 일찍이 없었다.
  2. 사제들과 레위인들은 백성들에게 복을 빌어주기 시작하였다. 그 기도가 하느님 계시는 거룩한 곳, 하늘에 미치니 하느님께서는 그 소원을 들어주셨다.
