- If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
- Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
- For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
- When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
- Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

- 이제 여러분은 그리스도와 함께 다시 살아났으니 천상의 것들을 추구하십시오. 거기에서 그리스도는 하느님의 오른편에 앉아 계십니다.
- 여러분은 지상에 있는 것들에 마음을 두지 말고 천상에 있는 것들에 마음을 두십시오.
- 여러분이 이 세상에서는 이미 죽었기 때문입니다. 여러분의 참 생명은 그리스도와 함께 하느님 안에 있어서 보이지 않습니다.
- 여러분의 생명이신 그리스도가 나타나실 때에 여러분도 그분과 함께 영광 속에 나타나게 될 것입니다.
- 여러분은 모든 세속적인 욕망을 죽이십시오. 음행과 더러운 행위와 욕정과 못된 욕심과 우상 숭배나 다름없는 탐욕 따위의 욕망은

- For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
- In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
- But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
- Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
- And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

- 하느님을 거역하는 자들에게 내리시는 하느님의 진노를 살 것입니다.
- 여러분도 전에 이런 욕망에 빠져 살 때에는 그런 행동을 하고 있었습니다.
- 그러나 지금은 분노와 격분과 악의와 비방과 또 입에서 나오는 수치스러운 말 따위는 모두 버려야 합니다.
- 그리고 거짓말로 서로 속이지 마십시오. 여러분은 옛 생활을 청산하여 낡은 인간을 벗어버렸고
- 새 인간으로 갈아입었기 때문입니다. 새 인간은 자기 창조주의 형상을 따라 끊임없이 새로워지면서 참된 지식을 가지게 됩니다.

- Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
- Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
- Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
- And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
- And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

- 여기에는 그리스인과 유다인, 할례받은 사람과 받지 않은 사람, 타국인, 야만인, 노예, 자유인 따위의 구별이 없습니다. 오직 그리스도만이 전부로서 모든 사람 위에 군림하십니다.
- 여러분은 하느님께서 뽑아주신 사람들이고 하느님의 성도들이며 하느님의 사랑을 받는 백성들입니다. 그러니 따뜻한 동정심과 친절한 마음과 겸손과 온유와 인내로 마음을 새롭게 하여
- 서로 도와주고 피차에 불평할 일이 있더라도 서로 용서해 주십시오. 주님께서 여러분을 용서하신 것처럼 여러분도 서로 용서해야 합니다.
- 그뿐만 아니라 사랑을 실천하십시오. 사랑은 모든 것을 하나로 묶어 완전하게 합니다.
- 그리스도의 평화가 여러분의 마음을 다스리게 되기를 바랍니다. 그러려고 여러분은 부르심을 받아 한 몸이 된 것입니다. 항상 감사하는 마음으로 사십시오.

- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

- 그리스도의 말씀이 풍부한 생명력으로 여러분 안에 살아 있기를 빕니다. 여러분은 모든 지혜를 다하여 서로 가르치고 충고하십시오. 그리고 성시와 찬송가와 영가를 부르며 감사에 넘치는 진정한 마음으로 하느님을 찬양하십시오.
- 여러분은 무슨 말이나 무슨 일이나 모두 주 예수의 이름으로 하고 그분을 통해서 하느님 아버지께 감사를 드리십시오.
