	레위기 9:1-10:20 위임식을 마친 제 팔 일에 아론과 그 아들들은 첫 제사를 드렸다. 제사장들을 위하여 속죄제와 번제를 드렸고, 백성을 위한 제사로는 속죄제와 번제 외에 소제와 화목제도 드렸다. 하나님께서는 이에 영광으로 응답하셨다. 나답과 아비후는 다른 불로 분향하다가 하나님의 심판으로 죽임을 당하였다. 그 후 제사장의 금주 규례가 제정되었다

	아론의 첫 제사(9:1-9:24)

And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.

And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering;

Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you.

And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.

위임식이 끝난 다음 날 모세는 아론과 그의 아들들과 이스라엘 장로들을 불러 놓고

아론에게 말하였다. '속죄제물로 흠 없는 수송아지 한 마리와 번제물로 흠 없는 수양 한 마리를 끌어다가 여호와께 바친 다음

이스라엘 백성에게 이렇게 말하십시오. 여러분은 속죄제물로 수염소 한 마리와 번제물로 흠이 없고 일 년 된 송아지와 어린 양 한 마리씩,

그리고 화목제물로 여호와 앞에 드릴 수소 한 마리와 수양 한 마리를 끌어오고 기름 섞은 곡식 예물을 가져오십시오. 오늘 여호와께서 여러분에게 나타나실 것입니다.'

백성들이 모세가 명령한 대로 이 모든 것을 성막 입구로 가져오고 전체 백성이 여호와 앞에 나와 서자

And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.

And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.

Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.

And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:

But the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses.

모세는 그들에게 '이것은 여호와께서 여러분에게 명령하신 일이므로 여호와의 영광이 여러분에게 나타날 것입니다' 하고

또 아론에게 이렇게 말하였다. '형님은 제단으로 나아가 여호와께서 명령하신 대로 먼저 형님 자신의 죄를 위해 속죄제와 번제를 드린 다음 백성의 죄를 위해서도 그렇게 하십시오'

그래서 아론이 제단으로 나아가 자기 죄를 속할 속죄제물로 수송아지를 잡자

그의 아들들이 피를 받아 그에게 주었다. 그래서 그는 손가락으로 그 피를 찍어 단 네 뿔이 바르고 나머지 피는 단 밑에 쏟았다.

그리고 아론은 여호와께서 명령하신 대로 그 제물의 기름과 콩팥과 간 꺼풀은 단에서 불로 태워 바치고

And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.

And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar.

And they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.

And he did wash the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt offering on the altar.

And he brought the people's offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.

그 고기와 가죽은 야영지 밖으로 가지고 가서 불에 태웠다.

그런 다음 아론은 번제물을 잡았는데 그의 아들들이 피를 받아 그에게 주자 아론은 그것을 단 사면에 뿌렸다.

또 아론은 그들에게서 그 제물의 각 뜬 고기와 머리를 받아 그것들을 단 위에서 불태우고

내장과 다리는 씻어서 이것도 번제물 위에 올려 놓고 불로 태웠다.

그 후에 아론은 속죄제의 염소를 잡아 자기 죄를 위해 속죄제를 드릴 때와 마찬가지로 백성의 죄를 위해 드리고

And he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the manner.

And he brought the meat offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.

He slew also the bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about,

And the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver:

And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:

번제물도 여호와께서 지시하신 규정대로 드렸으며

또 곡식으로 드리는 소제물을 가져다가 그 중에 한 움큼을 집어서 아침마다 정규적으로 드리는 번제물에 더하여 단에서 불태웠다.

그런 다음 아론은 백성을 위해 화목제의 수소와 수양을 잡았다. 그의 아들들이 그 피를 받아오자 그는 그것을 단 사면에 뿌렸다.

그리고 그는 수소와 수양의 기름과 기름진 꼬리와 내장에 덮인 기름과 콩팥과 간 꺼풀을 떼어다가

그 제물들의 가슴 위에 얹어 단으로 가지고 가서 그 기름은 단에서 불태우고

And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded.

And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.

And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.

And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

가슴과 뒷다리는 모세가 지시한 대로 여호와께 흔들어 바쳤다.

아론은 속죄제와 번제와 화목제를 다 드리고 나서 백성을 향해 손을 들고 축복한 다음 단에서 내려왔다.

모세와 아론이 성막에 들어갔다가 나와서 백성들을 축복하자 여호와의 영광의 광채가 모든 백성에게 나타났다.

바로 그때 여호와 앞에서 불이 나와 단 위의 번제물과 기름을 완전히 태워 버렸다. 그러자 백성들이 이 광경을 보고 모두 놀라 소리를 지르며 땅에 엎드렸다.

	나답과 아비후의 죽음(10:1-10:20)

And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.

And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.

So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.

아론의 아들 나답과 아비후가 각자 자기들의 향로에 불을 담아 그 위에 향을 피웠다. 그러나 그 불은 여호와께서 명령하시지 않은 다른 불이었기 때문에

여호와 앞에서 불이 나와 그들을 삼켜 버렸다. 그래서 그들은 여호와 앞에서 죽고 말았다.

그때 모세가 아론에게 말하였다. '이것은 여호와의 말씀입니다. 나는 나를 가까이하는 자들 중에 나의 거룩함을 보이고 모든 백성 앞에서 영광을 받을 것이다.' 그러나 아론은 아무 말이 없었다.

그러자 모세는 아론의 삼촌인 웃시엘의 아들 미사엘과 엘사반을 불러 '너희는 가서 너희 조카들의 시체를 성소 앞에서 끌어내어 야영지 밖으로 메고 가거라' 하였다.

그래서 그들은 모세의 지시대로 가서 제사장복을 입은 채 죽은 그 시체들을 야영지 밖으로 끌어내었다.

And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled.

And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: for the anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.

And the LORD spake unto Aaron, saying,

Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:

And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;

그때 모세는 아론과 그의 아들 엘르아살과 이다말에게 말하였다 '너희는 죽은 자를 애도하는 뜻으로 머리를 풀거나 옷을 찢지 말아라. 너희가 만일 그렇게 하면 너희도 죽을 것이며 여호와께서 온 이스라엘 백성에게 분노하실 것이다. 그러나 이스라엘 모든 백성은 이들이 여호와께서 치신 불로 죽었다는 사실을 슬퍼해야 할 것이다.

그리고 너희는 여호와의 거룩한 기름으로 성별함을 받은 자들이니 성막 입구를 떠나지 말아라. 떠나면 죽을 것이다.' 그래서 그들은 모세가 명령한 대로 하였다.

여호와께서 아론에게 말씀하셨다.

'너와 너의 아들들은 성막에 들어갈 때 포도주나 독주를 마시지 말아라. 만일 너희가 마시고 들어가면 죽을 것이다. 이것은 너희 자손 대대로 지켜야 할 규정이다.

그렇게 해야 너희가 거룩한 것과 속된 것을 구별하고 깨끗한 것과 더러운 것을 분간하며

And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:

And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons' due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.

And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons' due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.

The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons' with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.

나 여호와가 모세를 통해 명령한 모든 율법을 이스라엘 자손에게 가르칠 수 있을 것이다.'

그 후에 모세는 아론과 그의 남은 두 아들 엘르아살과 이다말에게 이렇게 말하였다. '여호와께 불로 태워 바치고 남은 곡식의 소제물은 가져다가 누룩을 넣지 말고 제단 곁에서 먹도록 하십시오. 이것은 아주 거룩한 예물입니다.

그러므로 여러분은 이것을 거룩한 곳에서 먹어야 합니다. 이 음식은 여호와께 불로 태워 바친 예물 중에서 여러분이 먹을 몫입니다. 이것이 내가 여호와에게서 받은 명령입니다.

그러나 흔들어 바친 가슴과 들어올려 바친 뒷다리는 여러분과 여러분의 가족이 의식상 깨끗한 곳에서 먹을 수 있습니다. 이것은 이스라엘 자손이 여호와께 바친 화목제물 중에서 여러분과 여러분의 가족이 먹을 몫입니다.

이 음식은 불로 태워 바치는 제물의 기름과 함께 가져다가 여호와 앞에 흔들어 바친 다음에 여호와께서 명령하신 대로 여러분과 여러분의 가족이 먹도록 하십시오'

And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,

Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD?

Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.

And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the LORD?

And when Moses heard that, he was content.

모세는 속죄제의 염소를 찾다가 그것이 이미 불에 태워진 것을 알고 화가 치밀어 아론의 남은 두 아들 엘르아살과 이다말을 꾸짖었다.

'어째서 너희는 그 거룩한 속죄제물을 거룩한 곳에서 먹지 않았느냐? 이것은 너희가 여호와 앞에서 백성들의 죄와 허물을 속하라고 너희에게 주어진 제물이 아니냐?

그 피를 성소에 가지고 들어오지 않았으니 너희는 네가 명령한 대로 마땅히 그 제물을 거룩한 곳에서 먹었어야만 했다'

그러나 아론이 모세에게 '오늘 그들이 속죄제와 번제를 여호와께 드렸어도 이런 일이 생겼는데 내가 만일 이런 날에 그 속죄제물을 먹었더라면 어떻게 여호와를 기쁘시게 했겠나?' 하자

모세는 그의 말을 듣고 좋게 생각하였다.
