- They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
- Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.
- Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
- Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:
- But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.

- 그들이 자기들을 구원하신 하나님을 잊었으니 그는 이집트에서 위대한 일을 행하시고
- 함 땅에서 기적을, 홍해에서 놀라운 일을 행하신 분이시다.
- 여호와께서 자기 백성을 멸망시키겠다고 말씀하셨을 때 그의 택한 종 모세가 하나님 앞에 중재자로 나서서 그의 분노를 돌이켜 그들을 멸망시키지 않도록 하였다.
- 그들은 좋은 땅을 거절하고 하나님의 약속을 믿지 않았으며
- 자기들의 천막에서 불평하고 여호와께 순종하지 않았다.
