욥기 23:1-26:14

 욥은 엘리바스의 답변에 탄식하면서, 하나님께서 결백한 자신의 호소에 답변해 주실 것을 간구하였다. 그리고 악인들의 최후에 관하여 말한 후, 그들을 놓아 두시는 하나님의 섭리에 의문을 표시하였다. 이에 대하여 빌닷은 하나님의 권능과 위엄을 말하면서 하나님 앞에서 의롭고 깨끗한 사람은 없다고 하였다.
  
  욥의 대답(23:1-24:25)    
 
  1. Then Job answered and said,
  2. Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.
  3. Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!
  4. I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
  5. I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me.
  1. 그러자 욥이 대답하였다.
  2. '내가 오늘은 크게 원망하지 않을 수 없는 것은 내가 받는 벌이 너무 혹독하기 때문이다.
  3. 내가 하나님을 발견할 수 있는 곳을 알고 그 곳으로 갈 수 있다면
  4. 내가 그분 앞에 나아가 내 문제를 내어놓고 변명하며
  5. 또 나에게 대답하시는 말씀을 듣고 그 말씀을 깨달을 수 있을 텐데.
  1. Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.
  2. There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
  3. Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
  4. On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:
  5. But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
  1. 그가 큰 힘으로 나를 대적하실까? 아니야, 오히려 내 말을 들어주실 것이다.
  2. 거기는 정직한 자가 하나님 앞에 자기 문제를 내어놓고 호소할 수 있는 곳이므로 내가 나의 심판자에게서 영원히 구제될 것이다.
  3. 그런데 내가 동쪽으로 가도 그가 계시지 않고 서쪽으로 가도 보이지 않으며
  4. 그가 북쪽에서 일하시나 내가 만날 수 없고 그가 남쪽으로 돌이키셔도 내가 뵈올 수 없구나.
  5. 그러나 하나님은 내가 가는 길을 다 알고 계신다. 그가 나를 단련하신 후에는 내가 순금처럼 깨끗할 것이다.
  1. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
  2. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
  3. But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.
  4. For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.
  5. Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him.
  1. 나는 그를 충실히 따랐고 그의 길에서 벗어나지 않았으며
  2. 그의 명령을 어기지 않았고 그 입의 말씀을 매일 먹는 음식보다 더 소중히 여겼다.
  3. 그런데도 나에 대한 그의 태도는 변하지 않고 있으니 누가 감히 그의 뜻을 돌이킬 수 있겠는가? 그는 자기가 원하는 일이면 무엇이든지 하고야 마는 분이시다.
  4. 그러므로 그가 나에게 작정하신 일도 반드시 이루실 것이다. 그에게는 이런 일이 얼마든지 있다.
  5. 그래서 나는 그분 앞에서 떨며 이 모든 것을 생각하고 그를 두려워하고 있다.
  1. For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:
  2. Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he covered the darkness from my face.
  1. 하나님이 나를 낙심케 하시며 전능하신 그가 나를 두렵게 하시니 어두움이 나를 둘러싸고 흑암이 내 얼굴을 가리는구나.
  2. (16절과 같음)
 
 
  1. Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
  2. Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof.
  3. They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
  4. They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
  5. Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children.
  1. 어째서 하나님이 심판의 시기를 정하지 않으시는가? 어째서 그를 아는 자들이 그 날을 헛되게 기다리는가?
  2. 사람들은 한 치의 땅이라도 더 차지하겠다고 경계석을 옮기며 양떼를 훔쳐가 기르고
  3. 고아의 나귀를 끌어가며 빚을 갚지 않는다고 과부의 소를 담보물로 잡아 두고
  4. 가난한 자들을 길거리에서 몰아내니 세상의 가난한 자들이 다 숨을 곳을 찾는구나.
  5. 그들이 사막의 들나귀처럼 나가서 열심히 먹을 것을 찾지만 그들의 자녀들이 먹을 음식을 주는 곳은 광야뿐이다.
  1. They reap every one his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked.
  2. They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.
  3. They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
  4. They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
  5. They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf from the hungry;
  1. 그들은 남의 밭에서 곡식을 베고 악인의 포도밭에서 포도를 따며
  2. 입을 것과 덮을 것이 없어서 온 밤을 추위에 떨면서 맨몸으로 보내고
  3. 집이 없이 산중에서 소나기를 맞으며 바위 곁에서 웅크리고 있다.
  4. 악한 사람들이 아버지가 없는 아이를 그 어머니 품에서 빼앗아 가며 가난한 자의 아이를 담보로 잡는다.
  5. 그래서 그들은 입을 것이 없어 벌거벗고 다니며 곡식단을 나르면서도 굶주리고
  1. Which make oil within their walls, and tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
  2. Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly to them.
  3. They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
  4. The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
  5. The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face.
  1. 기름을 짜면서도 맛보지 못하며 포도주틀을 밟으면서도 갈증을 느낀다.
  2. 성에서 죽어 가는 자들이 신음하며 부상당한 자들이 살려 달라고 부르짖어도 하나님은 못보신 척하는구나.
  3. 빛을 싫어하는 자들이 있으니 이들은 그 길을 알지 못하고 그 길에 머물러 있지도 않는 자들이다.
  4. 살인하는 자는 새벽에 일어나서 가난한 자를 죽이고 밤에는 도둑질을 하며
  5. 간음하는 자는 해가 저물기를 바라고 '아무도 나를 보지 못하겠지' 하고 자기 얼굴을 가린다.
  1. In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
  2. For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
  3. He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
  4. Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned.
  5. The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
  1. 도둑은 밤이면 남의 집을 부수고 들어가지만 낮에는 문을 닫고 들어앉아서 빛을 보지 않으려고 한다.
  2. 이들에게는 캄캄한 밤도 아침과 같아서 흑암의 공포에 친숙해진 자들이다.
  3. 그러나 그들은 물거품처럼 지상에서 사라지고 그들의 땅은 저주를 받을 것이며 그들이 다시는 자기들의 포도밭을 거닐지 못할 것이다.
  4. 가뭄과 더위가 눈을 삼키듯이 무덤이 죄인들을 삼켜 버릴 것이며
  5. 그들의 어머니까지도 그들을 잊어버리고 구더기가 그들을 달게 먹을 것이며 다시는 그들을 기억하는 자가 없을 것이니 그들은 나무처럼 꺾어지고 말 것이다.
  1. He evil entreateth the barren that beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.
  2. He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.
  3. Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes are upon their ways.
  4. They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
  5. And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
  1. 그들은 임신하지 못하여 아이를 낳지 못하는 여자를 이용해 먹고 과부에게 선을 행하지 않았다.
  2. 때때로 하나님이 그의 능력으로 부자들을 보존하고 살 수 없는 처지에서도 그들을 살려 주며
  3. 또 그들에게 자신감과 힘을 주시고 여러 가지 면에 그들을 도와 주시는 것처럼 보인다.
  4. 그러나 지금은 아주 높아진 것 같아도 그들은 순식간에 다른 사람들처럼 파멸될 것이며 곡식 이삭처럼 베임을 당할 것이다.
  5. 만일 그렇지 않다고 해도 나를 거짓말장이라고 지적하거나 내 말이 틀렸다고 주장할 사람이 누구인가?'
 
  빌닷의 세번째 충고(25:1-26:14)    
 
  1. Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
  2. Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.
  3. Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?
  4. How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
  5. Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
  1. 그때 수아 사람 빌닷이 말하였다.
  2. '하나님은 권능과 위엄을 가지셨으며 하늘 나라를 평화로 다스리는 분이시다.
  3. 그가 거느리고 있는 천사의 무리를 누가 감히 셀 수 있으며 하나님의 빛을 받지 않는 자가 세상에 어디 있는가?
  4. 어떻게 사람이 하나님 앞에 서서 감히 의롭다고 주장할 수 있으며 여인에게서 난 자가 어떻게 깨끗할 수 있는가? 하나님의 눈에는 달도 밝지 않고 별도 깨끗하지 않은데
  5. 하물며 벌레와 구더기에 지나지 않는 사람이야 말할 것이 있겠느냐!'
  1. How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
 
 
  1. But Job answered and said,
  2. How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?
  3. How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?
  4. To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?
  5. Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
  1. 그래서 욥이 이렇게 대답하였다.
  2. '너는 힘없는 자를 잘 도왔고 기력 없는 팔을 잘 구하였으며
  3. 지혜 없는 자에게 좋은 충고를 하여 너의 훌륭한 지식을 잘 나타내었구나!
  4. 누가 너에게 그런 말을 하게 하였느냐? 누구의 신이 네 입에서 나왔느냐?
  5. 죽은 자들의 영들이 지하의 물 속에서 떨며
  1. Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.
  2. He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
  3. He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
  4. He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.
  5. He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
  1. 하나님 앞에는 죽은 자의 세계가 드러나고 아무것도 가리어진 것이 없다.
  2. 하나님은 북쪽 하늘을 허공에 펴시며 지구를 공간에 매달아 놓으시고
  3. 물을 짙은 구름으로 싸시며 그 무게로 구름이 찢어지지 않도록 하셨다.
  4. 그는 자기 보좌를 구름으로 가리시고
  5. 수면에 경계를 그어 빛과 어두움의 한계를 정하셨다.
  1. The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
  2. He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.
  3. By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.
  4. Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
  1. 그가 한번 꾸짖으면 하늘의 기둥이 무서워 떤다.
  2. 그는 권능으로 바다를 잠잠하게 하시고 그 지혜로 바다의 교만을 꺾어 버리시며
  3. 그의 입김으로 하늘을 맑게 하시고 그의 손으로 날쌔게 기어가는 뱀을 찌르신다.
  4. 그러나 이런 것은 그의 능력 중에서 아주 적은 부분에 불과하며 우리가 그에 대하여 들은 것도 세미한 속삭임에 지나지 않는다. 그렇다면 누가 감히 하나님의 크신 능력을 이해할 수 있겠느냐?'
