이사야 59:1-60:22

 이사야는 부조리로 가득 찬 이스라엘 백성들의 불의를 지적하고 그들의 죄악에 대해 하나님께 고백한 후, 그럼에도 불구하고 하나님께서 절망적인 인간의 구원을 위해 구속자를 통한 새 언약을 주셨다고 하였다. 하나님께서는 예전에 이스라엘을 억압하던 국가들이 이스라엘에게 복종함으로 이스라엘이 영구한 평화를 누리고 열방 중에 높임받게 될 것이라는 약속을 하셨다.
  
  죄와 구원 사역(59:1-59:21)    
 
  1. Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
  2. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
  3. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
  4. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
  5. They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.
  1. 여호와께서 능력이 부족하여 너희를 구원하지 못하는 것이 아니며 귀가 둔하여 너희 부르짖는 소리를 듣지 못하는 것이 아니다.
  2. 너희 죄가 너희를 하나님과 분리시켜 놓았기 때문에 그가 너희를 외면하고 너희 부르짖음에 귀를 기울이시지 않는 것이다.
  3. 너희 손은 피로 물들었고 너희 손가락은 죄로 더러워졌으며 너희 입술은 거짓을 말하고 너희 혀는 악한 것을 내뱉고 있다.
  4. 또 공정하고 정당한 방법으로 소송하는 자가 없으며 거짓말하고 악한 음모를 꾸며 상대방을 해치고 있다.
  5. 너희가 꾸미는 악한 음모는 독사의 알처럼 치명적이다. 그 알을 밟아 보아라. 거기서 독사가 나올 것이다. 거미줄로 옷을 짤 수 없듯이 너희 악한 행위와 계획은 아무 쓸모가 없을 것이다.
  1. Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
  2. Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
  3. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
  4. Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
  5. We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.

  2. 너희가 항상 악한 것을 계획하여 그것을 신속히 행하며 죄 없는 사람을 살해하는 데 주저하지 않으니 너희가 가는 곳마다 황폐와 파멸이 뒤따를 것이다.
  3. 너희는 참된 평안이 무엇인지 모르며 정의와 진리가 무엇을 뜻하는지도 알지 못하고 계속 잘못된 길을 가고 있다. 그러므로 너희를 따르는 자들은 결코 평안을 누리지 못할 것이다.
  4. 백성들이 말한다. '이제야 우리는 하나님이 우리를 괴롭히는 자에게서 구원하시지 않는 이유를 알 것 같다. 우리가 빛을 기대하지만 어두움뿐이구나.
  5. 그래서 우리가 소경처럼 더듬고 다니며 대낮에도 캄캄한 밤처럼 넘어지니 건장한 사람 가운데 있으면서도 우리가 죽은 자 같이 되었다.
  1. We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
  2. For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;
  3. In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
  4. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
  5. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
  1. 우리가 곰처럼 부르짖고 비둘기처럼 슬피 울며 하나님이 우리를 구해 주시기를 바라나 아무 일도 일어나지 않고 있다.
  2. 여호와여, 주 앞에 우리의 허물이 많습니다. 우리 죄가 우리에게 대하여 증거하니 우리가 주께 범죄한 것을 인정합니다.
  3. 우리는 주를 배반하고 거역하였으며 주를 따르기를 거절하였습니다. 우리가 다른 사람들을 괴롭히고 악한 것을 생각하며 거짓말을 하였습니다.
  4. 그래서 우리 주변에는 공정과 정의와 진실과 정직이 사라졌습니다.
  5. 이처럼 어느 곳에서도 진실을 찾아볼 수 없게 되었으므로 악을 피하는 자들이 오히려 희생되고 있습니다.' 여호와께서는 이것을 보시고 정의가 없는 것을 기뻐하지 않으시며
  1. And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
  2. For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.
  3. According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.
  4. So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
  5. And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
  1. 자기 백성을 도와 줄 사람이 없는 것을 보시고 놀라셨다. 그러므로 그가 직접 자기 능력과 의로 그들을 구하실 것이다.
  2. 그가 의를 갑옷처럼 입으시고 구원의 투구를 쓰시며 복수와 의분의 옷을 입으실 것이다. 그가 자기 원수들에게 분노하셔서
  3. 그들이 행한 대로 갚아 주실 것이며 먼 땅에 사는 대적들에게 보복하실 것이다.
  4. 여호와께서 세차게 흐르는 강물과 강한 바람처럼 오실 것이므로 동서 사방에 있는 모든 사람들이 그의 이름과 위대한 능력을 두려워할 것이다.
  5. 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '구원자가 시온에 올 것이니 이스라엘 백성 가운데 죄를 떠나는 사람들에게 찾아올 것이다.
  1. As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
  1. 그리고 내가 그들과 맺는 계약은 이것이다. '내가 너희에게 준 내 성령과 말이 너희와 너희 후손들의 입에서 영원히 떠나지 않을 것이다.' 이것은 나 여호와의 말이다.'
 
  시온의 영광(60:1-60:22)    
 
  1. Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
  2. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
  3. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
  4. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
  5. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
  1. 예루살렘아, 일어나서 태양처럼 빛나라. 여호와의 영광이 네 위에 비치고 있다.
  2. 세상의 모든 민족이 어두움에 덮여도 너에게는 여호와의 영광이 비칠 것이니
  3. 모든 나라가 네 빛으로 나아오고 세상의 모든 왕들이 네게서 비치는 여호와의 영광을 보려고 올 것이다.
  4. 눈을 들어 살펴보아라! 이방 민족들이 너에게 몰려들 것이며 멀리서 네 자녀들도 모여들 것이다.
  5. 그때 너는 이것을 보고 희색이 만면하여, 너무 기쁜 나머지 흥분하여 가슴이 두근거릴 것이다. 이것은 바다의 부와 모든 민족의 재물이 너에게 돌아올 것이기 때문이다.
  1. The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.
  2. All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
  3. Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
  4. Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
  5. And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
  1. 미디안과 에바의 낙타들이 네 땅을 덮을 것이며 스바 사람들이 다 금과 향을 가지고 와서 여호와께서 행하신 일을 찬양할 것이다.
  2. 게달의 양떼와 느바욧의 수양이 너에게 끌려와 여호와의 제단에 바쳐질 것이며 그는 자기 성전을 더욱 영광스럽게 하실 것이다.
  3. 구름처럼, 보금자리를 찾아드는 비둘기처럼, 미끄러지듯이 달려오는 것들이 다 무엇인가?
  4. 그것은 먼 땅에서 하나님의 백성을 태우고 오는 배들이니 그들은 금과 은을 싣고 와서 여호와의 이름을 높이며 그의 백성을 영화롭게 하신 이스라엘의 거룩한 하나님께 그것을 드리려고 하는 자들이다.
  5. 여호와께서 예루살렘을 향하여 말씀하신다. '외국 사람들이 네 성벽을 재건할 것이며 그들의 왕들이 너를 섬길 것이다. 비록 내가 분노하여 너를 벌하였으나 이제는 내가 너에게 은혜와 자비를 베풀겠다.
  1. Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
  2. For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
  3. The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
  4. The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
  5. Whereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
  1. 이방 민족들이 가져오는 재물을 받기 위해 네 성문은 항상 열려 밤낮 닫히지 않을 것이며 세상의 왕들이 너를 섬길 것이다.
  2. 그러나 너를 섬기지 않는 나라는 아주 패망하고 말 것이다.
  3. 레바논의 아름다운 소나무와 잣나무와 회양목이 너에게 운송되어 너를 재건하고 내 성전을 아름답게 하는 데 사용될 것이니 내 성소가 영광스럽게 될 것이다.
  4. 너를 괴롭히던 자들의 자손들이 너에게 와서 허리를 굽히며 너를 멸시하던 자들이 다 네 발 앞에 엎드려 너를 '여호와의 성'이라, '이스라엘의 거룩한 하나님의 성, 시온'이라 부를 것이다.
  5. 비록 전에는 네가 버림을 당하고 미움을 받아 아무도 네 앞을 지나가는 자가 없었으나 이제는 내가 너를 영원한 자랑거리와 대대의 기쁨이 되게 하겠다.
  1. Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
  2. For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.
  3. Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
  4. The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
  5. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
  1. 세계의 열강들과 왕들이 마치 어머니가 자식을 돌보듯이 너를 보살필 것이며 그때 너는 나 여호와가 너를 구원하고 이스라엘의 전능한 하나님이 너를 자유롭게 하는 자임을 알게 될 것이다.
  2. 내가 금으로 너의 놋을 대신하고 은으로 너의 철을, 놋으로 너의 나무를, 철로 너의 돌을 대신할 것이며 평화를 너의 관리로, 의를 너의 감독으로 세울 것이다.
  3. 다시는 네 땅에 폭군의 소리가 들리지 않을 것이며 황폐와 파멸이 없을 것이니 네가 네 성벽을 '구원'이라 부르며 네 성문을 '찬송'이라 부를 것이다.
  4. 더 이상 낮의 해가 네 빛이 되지 않을 것이며 밤의 달도 네 빛이 되지 않고 나 여호와가 너의 영원한 빛이 되며 너의 하나님이 네 영광이 될 것이다.
  5. 다시는 네 해가 지지 않고 네 달이 이지러지지 않을 것이다. 나 여호와가 너의 영원한 빛이 되고 네 슬픔의 날들이 끝날 것이기 때문이다.
  1. Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
  2. A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
  1. 네 백성들이 다 의롭게 되어 자기들의 땅을 영원히 소유할 것이다. 그들은 내 영광을 나타내기 위해서 내가 손으로 심은 작은 가지와 같은 자들이다.
  2. 그들의 가장 작은 가족이 하나의 집단을 이루고 보잘 것 없는 집단이 강국을 이룰 것이다. 때가 되면 나 여호와가 이 일을 속히 이룰 것이다.'
