- We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.
- How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.
- For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
- Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.
- Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.

- 하나님, 우리는 두 귀로 들었습니다. 그 옛날 우리 조상이 살던 그 때에, 하나님께서 하신 그 일들을, 우리의 조상이 우리에게 낱낱이 일러주었습니다.
- 하나님께서 뭇 나라들을 손수 몰아내시고, 우리 조상을 이 땅에 뿌리 박게 하셨습니다. 뭇 민족을 재앙으로 치시고, 우리 조상을 번창하게 하셨습니다.
- 우리 조상이 이 땅을 차지한 것은 그들의 칼로 차지한 것이 아니었습니다. 조상이 얻은 승리도 그들의 힘으로 얻은 것이 아니었습니다. 오직, 하나님의 오른손과 오른팔과 하나님의 빛나는 얼굴이 이루어 주셨으니, 참으로 이것은 하나님께서 그들을 사랑하셨기 때문입니다.
- 주님이야말로 나의 왕, 나의 하나님. 야곱에게 승리를 주시는 분이십니다.
- 주님의 능력으로 우리는 우리의 적을 쳐부수었으며, 우리를 공격하여 오는 자들을 주님의 이름으로 짓밟았습니다.

- For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
- But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.
- In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.

- 내가 의지한 것은 내 활이 아닙니다. 나에게 승리를 안겨 준 것은 내 칼이 아닙니다.
- 오직 주님만이 우리로 하여금 적에게서 승리를 얻게 하셨으며, 우리를 미워하는 자들이 수치를 당하게 하셨기에,
- 우리는 언제나 우리 하나님만 자랑합니다. 주님의 이름만 끊임없이 찬양하렵니다. （셀라）
